Consistency
at 18:01 29 Sep 2025

I loved all of those seasons but even then we had some terrible results, some bad runs and some dreadful results.

In 1982/83 we lost 3 of 4 games over the Christmas period including 0-4 at Wolves and a home defeat to Chelsea. In 1993/94 we won 2 of our last 10 matches and we started 1994/95 with 1 win in 11. Then again, we were fairly consistent between April and October 1994!

A very fair report of a really poor match.

Saturday proved that we aren't a top six side, if anyone thinks that anyway.

My pleasure.

It only crept into the charts but it's nearly as good as stuff from Heaven or Las Vegas.

This has the same effect for me, Brian. Autumn 1993. Living in Tufnell Park and Rangers winning 2-1 at Newcastle.

Really enjoyed that.

As others have said, Jaz is a natural and the Wrexham fan was good too.

More please, if possible.

He's really growing on me, even if I feel a bit like John Cleese in Life of Brian.

Finally saw a win!
at 11:02 3 Sep 2025

Nearly snap - I was at the Preston 1-0 win and the 2-0 v Hull in December 2023 is the only other win I've seen in nearly 3 years.

I can hardly be arsed to go to matches nowadays, having been a regular since the late 80s. The 12.30 kick offs are partly to blame as I now refuse to go to them, but our home form has been abysmal and depressing for the most part. Let's hope that's about to change...

I have the same losing record as you but I only went to the game in 1986/87. A textbook 1-0 defeat.

As for home matches, I've seen us win twice since October 2022 - I had a season ticket that season as well and missed the Watford win.

Coventry roll call

Two from Ewell and one from Chessington.

That doesn't include me - I just passed on the curse to my sons and my best mate's son. My best mate was converted to QPR in 1993, but that was easy work.

£7.50 for a pint of Guinness in the B&W…

I still can't believe the number of people who cram into the upper loft walkway at half time, downing the abomination that is Carlsberg, warm and in a plastic bottle, with less than 3 minutes to drink it after queueing for the worst and slowest catering in the history of humanity.

On the subject of pelican crossings, I can't stand it when pedestrians press the button automatically on arrival at the crossing, without checking the road first and seeing whether they actually need to press the fcuking button. I understand it if you're with young children, but even then there might be no cars within 500 yards, so why not have a look first? It won't take long, I promise.

Last night was one of many low points of following QPR since 1978 and probably one of the lowest.

The only consolation is that we have put out teams in previous years with a mix of first teamers and less established players and we have lost nearly every match. However, that isn't much consolation and I've never seen a side at our level put out a team THAT inexperienced. We were lucky it wasn't a drubbing.
