Im not entirely unhappy with Field and Varane.
Or to put it another way, DM is pretty low on my priorities compared to LB, RB, striker, back up CB, AM... the only position we are stonger in arguably is midget 10. |

Thanks for posting this as I was thinking something similar. Especially after listening to the patreon review.
It does feel like several.of our players are square pegs being played in round holes. Celar is the most obvious. If we want one up top, that isnt him. Or Kelman's, or Kollis or Lloyds and only partially Frey's best postion either. So why did we buy Celar?
If we wanted 4 at the back, why did we only have 1 left back. Where does Harvey Vale fit into this? Or Harrison Ashby?
If the recruitment is on a backroom team, does the back room team set the formation? In which case shouldnt our recruitment reflect that?
Or was this Marti being pragmatic and just seeking not to concede first to keep us in The game?
I also wonder whether with our personnel whether a 3, 4, 2, 1 (or 1,2) would be a better fit? Have wing backs as the width. Kolli and chair buzzing around Celar/Kelman or Frey (assuming we dont buy anyone btter of course) would be better? [Post edited 23 May 15:31]

To be fair this is a bit lions versus minnows. And Srokes said he would have bowled first too. Zimbabwe have only 1 or 2 truley international class players and the worst Curran brother. So it didnt reallg make much difference to tbe result |
