Yes, we are all watching, which is why every sensible person has clearly praised where we are going as a club. Sheehan commented this week about certain people online wanting the team to lose… I think he’s right. |

Stats aren’t everything, where did I say that? I think you are just giving your very strange vendetta away. Anyone watching Inoussa and thinks he is poor is living on Mars. One of the best performers in our team and one of the most dangerous wingers in the league. I just call it as I see it. You appear to think that every signing is designed for starting 11 impact which is a childlike understanding really. Signings are made to impact different things. Best to leave it to the experts maybe? |

Inoussa is outstanding, I saw on one of the Swansea analytical pages today that he is one of the elite performers in the league. Widell was signed in January for Luke’s system and Wales is a youth prospect and is looking excellent in the U-23’s. You were asking if the players are good enough so I went through them. The two that aren’t are probably Key and Ronald. The last window was one of the best we have had in a decade, that’s accepted virtually everywhere, but that doesn’t mean we should be top 6. It only made us a solid mid table side which is what Sheehan is delivering. Before that we were a side flirting with relegation for large portions of the season, I don’t think that happens with this team. I don’t think the owners will be thinking 6 windows before we challenge, no. But also not 1. |

That’s way too soon to sack a manager. Football has gone insane. Under 40 days. |

My view is we have had a very poor squad for a very long time. Good runs at the end of the season glossed over the problems. But we were 17th when Luke was fired, around the same spot when Duff was fired and were around then for much of Russell Martins time here, only saved by his late run of 10 games. We haven’t been a solid top half side since maybe Cooper was here, by that I mean one that doesn’t finish there just due to a run of form at the end. That’s what we now are in my opinion, and that’s the first improvement step towards a successful journey |

He’s doing well, grinding out results and keeping us ticking over. I expect performances will improve as time goes on and the partnerships form and become stronger. 3 points behind playoffs with two home games coming up. |

Goalkeeper Big Vigs - Chile international LB Tymon - Best in league? CB Burgess - PL experience CB Cabango - Very good RB Key - Concerning LW Inoussa - Excellent 6 Stamenic - Very good 8 Franco/Yalcouye - Very good 8 Galbraith - Best in league? RW Ronald - Concerning CF Vipotnik/Idah - Good Our right side looks the problem. Key a shadow of himself of years gone by and Ronald despite a hot start doesn’t look dangerous enough in possession to be a consistent threat. We are doing roughly about as well as our comparative squad value suggests we should be. Will need many more good windows to start seeing real strides towards top 6. An empire takes time. |

Giving Cabango, Cullen and co a game against the best in the world won’t harm their experience building. I always like the notion of testing yourself, you quickly find out your level and if you excel then your confidence grows. |

I can’t imagine it’s that enlightening, I’m just showing you why your suggestions aren’t realistic, most will know this anyway. Try and get behind the team a bit more, the club are going in the right direction with people that are clearly highly skilled in what they do. Just enjoy it. |

Exactly and look where there are. It’s a terrible strategy to focus recruitment on Championship experienced players. Yes we got £4 million for Grimes, reported widely. Something we should never partake in, unless we sell 2 players for £40 million like Coventry did and they can afford to write off the fact they will never see a monetary return on the transaction. |

We sold our 29 year old captain for a reported £4 million yes. I hope to God we don’t ever sign 29 year old players for £4 million. |

They have signed 25 players in 3 seasons, the vast majority without Championship experience. They have also spent over £50 million. I’m confused by your discussion point as it seems to have moved focus within the space of a post, are you wanting British players from any level as long as they are British, or Championship experience? |
 | Forum Reply | The last transfer window at 17:10 9 Oct 2025
Everyone should know, it’s been explained how the club blend data and scouting in order to sign their players. The point about signing Championship proven players is an observation. I can’t imagine we would sell any of our good players cheaply to the other teams in the Championship, so that will work the same in reverse, it’s not a viable strategy. |

Good players with Championship experience are extremely costly, our budgets wouldn’t get very far if we recruited that way. We also have to realise it’s a long term project. Coventry had 5 windows to get to where they are and they certainly didn’t focus their recruitment on Championship proven players, it was undervalued foreign markets where after a season they become Championship experienced players. In terms of scouting. I don’t believe the club doesn’t scout players either, not sure where you heard that from? |

Agreed, best window in years. The squad looks so much better than last season. |

I don’t think any head coach in football has the final say on transfers. Very rare. |

That’s a really strange one to pick out. He looked quick and sharp and tucked his penalty away confidently. This is becoming more of a vendetta than a critique. |
 | Forum Thread | How many points? at 08:23 3 Oct 2025
How many points from the next 2 will be seen as a good return? Leicester (h) Southampton (a) For me if we can get 2 draws and keep the momentum going into the easier block of games, I would be happy with that. 2-3 is what I am going with. |
