You're dead right about Liam's voice, I doubted when the reunion was announced that his vocals would be up to it, but in many ways, his performance was absolutely the best thing about the show. The production was top drawer, the setlist was indeed "banger after banger after banger", with songs you wouldn't necessarily expect stealing the show for me, "Little by Little" and "Slide Away". "Rock n Roll Star" was insanely good. Never saw them live first time around, and always regretted it, so I wasn't missing out this time. As everyone else has said, worth ecvery penny. |

Got to say I thought CN came across quite well, far better than I was expecting, no condescending technobabble. Not exactly oozing charisma, but if he gets the job right, I'm not bothered about that. Whether it turns out to work or not, there is a plan, my concern would be how flexible he is actually prepared to be if circumstances dictate. There's no way anyone could have told me I was wrong about anything at his age! JS is clearly a fairly charismatic dude and I think there's a decent chance the fanbase will warm to him provided we don't get off to a completely calamitous start. |

I seem to remember that when we appealed our FFP fine, it was rejected because the ruling was that the EFL could make whatever conditions of membership it wanted, whether those rules would be deemed fair or reasonable in the commercial world. In which case, couldn't the EFL couldn't simply make it a condition of membership that any debts incurred by a member club were simply converted to equity on an annual basis?. |

Mate, if he won't stay and play for us, it doesn't matter who pays us to take him as long as we get the money we want. It's about us making the right decision for us, and this is the right decision for us. End of story. |

Better than signing him based on a goalscoring purple patch from January to April 2020 |

The way I'd look at is if Kelman going pays for Burrell, Ba and Nkada to come in, then I'd say that's good business. We've bought three players who may turn out to be Sinclair Armstrong for one who may turn out to be Conor Washington. Realistically, we only need one of the new boys to work for us to be in front of where we were, and if Kelman works for Charlton, we'll likely make money from his eventual sell on. Win win for us unless we turn out to be very very unluicky. |

So who do we fancy to plat Donegal in the final? |
 | Forum Reply | The GAA at 17:44 29 Jun 2025
As total a second half domination as Donegal yesterday. Whether that was down to Paudie or the complete collapse of the Armagh kick out, I'm not sure. a bit of both probably. Donegal and Tyrone in one bag, Kerry and Meath in the other. |

Hardly any point turning up for the semi final either I wouldn't think.... |

Ted, you could have been in the play off places and still looking at the relegation spots for most of last season. Maybe a small exaggeration. but not much. As ever. the championship is 24 shades of average, it doesn't take much to move from below average to above. |

Dubs look like the team least equipped to adapt to the new rules, barely able to find players to kick one pointers let alone two. Mr.Sheen is right, you can't have two pointers for frees without upping the reward for a goal. |
 | Forum Reply | The GAA at 21:25 28 Jun 2025
Well, ironically, the Dubs imo were the biggest culprits of tactical fouling over god knows how many years. Knock someone over and get everyone back in your half, it's a win. But then it's a bit ridiculous not to allow 45s to be two pointers, again, generally that arises from an attempt to prevent a goal. You're right, leave things as they are, and increasing the points tally for a goal to four, or maybe even five, must be a consideration. |

Dessie Farrell steps down as Dubs boss. |

Yeah that's the one big gripe I've had with the rule changes. Bring someone down in and around the goal when they might score a three pointer, and you get a free shot for one point. Knock someone over in midfield and they've apparently earned a shot at two. Nonsense! But generally, the rule changes have been a big positive. |

The new rules have made football watchable again, and any of the eight in the quarter finals could claim a decent shot at being All Ireland Champs. I've enjoyed watching the football almost as much as the hurling this year, and a year ago I wouldn't have believed that possible. |

Think we have to see how JS sets up the team to have any idea of how we'll do tbh. I think Kolli and Lloyd will be gone - sold or loaned - and I think we need a target man in. I think Field and Varane are not the two we need in a 4 man midfield. Maybe Field-Morgan-Varane works as a three, but we don't have replacements for Varane or Field, assuming Colback goes. I don't know whether we have LB covered witb Larkeche plus others. If I was pushed for just one more in, it'd be the target man. And being really cheeky, it'd be an upgrade on Frey, who I really really like but who probably isn't going to be fit for more than half our games. |
