Strongest side tomorrow. No cautious changes in defence. That would possibly slow down the tempo, using players not up to speed, and causing undue anxiety for fans. I just want to watch the best chance of watching a good game, regardless of the consequences. I want us to have the best chance of being in the next round.
If the younger groups are targeted, I think it's a faster way of increasing attendance. Cost is a big factor - a cheaper entry for them. The buzz and lure of the U block energy and going mental. The songs. Rochdale, even being lower league, I'm sure, is possibly becoming fashionable to the younger sections in the town. A few hundred more of them in, and it makes a difference.
There are more options to watch/listen to the games nowadays on the TV/laptop if it's a cold, dank Tuesday night, instead of attending....For those who finish later at work, have kids, or can't be bothered, there's the TV, internet option. Affecting attendances.
A strong and controlled performance against a confident side. We are a class fit, hard-working side at the moment, and teams should worry about us.
Really looking forward to the tests, better teams in this division. I'm in no doubt we will lose some, but as long as we give a good account of ourselves, challenging to be the best.
We didn't need Mani tonight, but felt an absence of seeing his hold play and presence. Levi was a handful for Solihull and played his part, and would have learnt a lot from this game. Hope he can learn from Mani's style.
Lets have a strong team out this weekend. Same as last week and the week before. Definitely not the time to go experimenting, maybe being kind to squad players without many matchday minutes. The Travelling fans, southern based, the young bowl head haircuts from U block all showing allegiance traveling down. Experiencing the wonders of a true fat Cornish pasty and St Austells Cornish best beer for the first time Hopefully Jim has learned from his voluntary demented strategy against newly promoted opposition.
His involvement in past management does bring about a shudder, thinking back to what it was like existing in that chaotic time, but.... now with stability...it brings on real happiness of where we now at as club.
Morecambes game now 1-1. Their goal was a cracker. Cant see them winning though forest green have too much quality and consistently capitalising on morecambes defensive mistakes.
Yes were all one team. The ladies are doing their bit to become successful moving up the leagues, I hope attendences grow, and the towns footy fans back the ladies game too!
Be great if there was some eager representatives , like a daddy ( 'at the double carling!' 'What tool?) of U block to liaise with club on all things, behavour.ie give them special feedback when great or requests from players, new songs creating, which ones they like, creating a better bond between players and fans. Maybe players might like to suggest a song for the fans. Maybe jim whizzes something into the block at the end of the Match⁰ they have supported exceptionally well. Like scarves or some free programmes
Saturdays decision was a 'wtf' moment. Infuriating, and I didnt travel all that way.
But as Daleys we move onto the next opportunity/game and hope. Today we put it right again. Whats the next vote/piechart 'who's our worse player at the moment'
It's early doors, and we are doing great and on target barring the fookup Saturday. For me the signs are there ; we seem to have squad cohesion and team spirit. But if we if we are going challenge this season, Jim needs to be ruthless and attacking In his team selection, forget about respect. Die on our sword. I need to see great performances against Carlisle , Southend and Hartlepool to have confidence its going to be our season.
