24/25 flew bye. They seem to go quicker each year. Thank you for the support over the last 10 months, personally a very up and down season. To captain the club and this group of players has been a privilege. The downs of course are losing, but also rupturing my plantar fascia was a huge blow, but to watch on and see the character the lads play with during a tough period of results was great to see. Time to rest up and then get fit for the next one. This isn’t goodbye 💙🤍
The club would like to provide supporters with an injury update as we head into the final 11 fixtures of the 2024/25 season. All timelines are subject to the players continuing on their current rehabilitation paths.
Unfortunately, Sam Field sustained an ankle injury following a tackle in our fixture at Portsmouth on February 22nd. The midfielder will now start a rehabilitation process with a projected return to full fitness in 6-9 weeks.
Rayan Kolli has been sidelined for the past fortnight but is on course to rejoin full training with the squad by the middle of March. Žan Celar has been working hard to overcome the hamstring injury he sustained in our home fixture against Norwich in December. The striker is progressing well and is increasing his loading as he works towards rejoining team training.
Jake Clarke-Salter is continuing his early rehabilitation following surgery on a hip injury in January. The defender is making good early progress.
Harvey Vale is progressing through his early rehab work as part of his recovery from his lower back injury. Next month he is expected to start phase two of his rehab which will be focusing on his physical development in preparation to return to pitch-based rehab in April.
