Walsh/Nardi 🙌
at 18:56 13 Sep 2025

He did, and was, but we also conceded maybe 3 or 4 corners to balls that Walsh or any keepers would have claimed and would have relieved pressure. Hence why I said best and worst. There is a huge benefit in having a keeper that can come and collect.

Walsh/Nardi 🙌

Thought we saw the best and worst of Nardi today, far better with his feet and positioning and made some good and important saves, but the failure to come and get the ball or deal with crosses was a big part of what allowed Wrexham to get on top 2nd half as it just kept coming back, nothing worse than seeing your centre backs having to head the ball in their own 6 yard box as far as the edge of the area when the keeper could and should have claimed

Wrex-iting for all the wrong reasons, its a Deadpool...Wrexham Vs QPR thread
at 17:12 13 Sep 2025

Really great result fantastic performances from Burrell and Vale and that was a Les Ferdinand special from Kone.

God only knows what Wrexham have spent that money on other than Kiefer Moore who was a class above £30m to look like a Rotherham team. Can't see Parkinson lasting long there. The good news for them is a relegation battle with all the jeopardy that comes with it will make for good telly. Mid table nothingness the worst thing that could happen for there TV show.

If the old iPad is still working and you have a PC plug it into the PC download iTunes do a manual back up to iTunes and transfer all the files onto your PC. Then plug new iPad into the PC, If you have a Mac you do this via the Apple Music app which replaced iTunes.

You can also access icloud via the web and manually download files from there if you have backups or its been in use

Julien Stéphan talks dreams, transfers, and that Coventry game – Interview
at 22:26 11 Sep 2025

I thought it was a really good interview and I implore everyone to listen to it rather than read it, as it came across as a genuinely engaged and grown up conversation rather than a media managed set of rehearsed answers, I particularly enjoyed the insight on the Charlton game JS saying we lined up in a 4-4-1-1 / 4-4-2 and discussing the changes in approach and the "game model"

I think you have to give credit to Burrell and Kolli though who made runs to create the space for him and occupy their defenders

A Kelmanation of errors QPR vs Charlton Athletic Match Thread

I thought we were gassed after 30 minutes tbh, did not think the start to the 2nd half was too bad and the game was pretty even their goal felt a little bit run against play. Mbengue got wild due to tiredness. Subs changed the game but it could have gone either way to be fair

CONTRARY to FIRM BELIEF

Crazy stat, Madsen won the same number of headers today as Morrison and Mbengue combined (5) (4+1) only Kone and Dunne won more.

He also made the most passes (40) other than Walsh (41) and the only QPR player to play a through ball

Kone MOM?
at 17:57 30 Aug 2025

Saito changed the game that's for sure but Kone head and shoulders MOTM and best player on the pitch. A proper striker contributed in build up play, did the defensive work, scored one nearly scored another looks like he can score with his head, a tap in or one on one and the Dummy for Smyth's goal if there was any justice would be classed as an assist that goal just does not happen without that move

I liked Vale, slow but a good brain always in the right place, worked hard, had a couple of poor touches, takes a mean corner

Just back
at 16:58 30 Aug 2025

Just back myself here is my two penneth

First 30 minutes I thought we played well. Vale did very well in the ten despite having no pace. Really good goal he won't get the assist but Kone's dummy made that happen.

However after 30 minutes we looked out on our feet again fitness wise and we were rocking and managed to hold on to half time.

2nd Half Kolli brought some energy and it was pretty even until the goal. Sorry but Walsh has to save that. Saito sub changed the game along with Burrell, brilliant goal from Saito but we were still nervy and showed a lack of game smarts in the last few minutes, until Kone finished it off.

Great relief all around, a lot more direct the only time we tried to play out from the back we royally cocked it up.

Looking at the performances, I get why Walsh had to play today, but I think after the international break we have to make the change. Command of the area is great, kicking is very poor and today he costs us a goal and nearly the game.

Defence wise Norrington Davies did very well. Mbengue lucky to stay on the pitch but gives us a lot, Morrison lacked confidence but was OK in the end Dunne had a very poor first half and looks pretty unfit to me.

In the midfield I thought Madsen had a decent game and was the pick of them. Varane again off the pace a bit especially on the ball. Smyth had a very good first half but was shattered after 30 mins Dembele again disappointed. Sub wise Kolli did a really good job 2nd half. Saito changed the game and was magnificent. I dont think Hayden touched the ball after he came on.

On to Kone, first time I've seen him in the flesh, like to think I'm a pretty good judge of players. This guy is the real deal. Probably lacks a yard of pace to be at the very top, but smart, strong, good in the air, good with his feet and 2 goals in less than 180 minutes of football. Calling it now best striker since Austin 1.0

Burrell was also super useful when he came on giving us pace and threat. Made a really stupid decision to cross to the keeper in the last few minutes when he should have gone to the flag if I was Stephen I would have been fuming, led to a dangerous attack too.

Overall exactly what we needed, a reset, two weeks to try and get some bloody fitness into this team.

Chant of the day. "How shit must you be we just lost 7-1"

Desperately desperately needs a league one loan or move, and I think he will tear up that league used in the right way. He started life as a winger. I always felt the way to get the best out of him would be as a wide forward so starting on the left with someone in the Centre who can be the hold up link striker

The thing with Rolls Royce Ronnie is it negates the need for an 8 to take the ball of the defence as he can just glide out and into the 8 position and play that pass.

If it's only a loan then it's worth looking at. Southhampton fans aren't having him it seems and he was very unhappy with how they treated him last year, surprisingly frank on one of the podcasts. I'm sure we are probably making the case that we can give him the platform to make them money ideally with us making some too

Charlton Line Up
at 15:42 25 Aug 2025

Our aim has to be a clean sheet.

Charlton are all about defence at the moment and if they score we will struggle. They play a high press. We need to be solid, direct play a high line and get the most out of Kone who can battle and hold the ball up. Drop Dembele play Smith on the right, Kolli on the left and 3 in midfield with Varane or Field sitting in front of the back four properly protecting the defence. Bring Naardi back and cut out the pissballing at the back, if Leicester are not breaking their press neither are we.

Saito
at 22:11 24 Aug 2025

The problem with Dembele is he cannot defend so it leaves the full back exposed unless we play 4-3-3 We know with Saito that he can track back and he can play defensively, but I suspect we might find in the next day or two that Chair might be out for a while and that's why they have made a move.

That being said we are screaming out for a midfielder with Colback no longer in the picture and would not be surprised to see one or two in that position someone with a bit of experience. The worry with Hayden is that he has only once in his career made more than 30 appearances in a season. We need someone with legs, nouse and availability

Expat Friendly v Coventry
at 16:44 24 Aug 2025

Was not the keeper, was not the centre backs or the left back. IMHO It was central midfield Varane and Field and the entire right side that was totally dysfunctional Dunne, Dembele and Morgan all having mares. plus not having an out ball with Burrell up top. Nearly every goal they had the freedom of the park where the midfield should have been protecting the defence, Varanne not tracking and Field has fallen of a cliff this season.

Also dont be surprised to see Dunne get a retrospective 3 game ban for that elbow.
