Desperately desperately needs a league one loan or move, and I think he will tear up that league used in the right way. He started life as a winger. I always felt the way to get the best out of him would be as a wide forward so starting on the left with someone in the Centre who can be the hold up link striker |

The thing with Rolls Royce Ronnie is it negates the need for an 8 to take the ball of the defence as he can just glide out and into the 8 position and play that pass. If it's only a loan then it's worth looking at. Southhampton fans aren't having him it seems and he was very unhappy with how they treated him last year, surprisingly frank on one of the podcasts. I'm sure we are probably making the case that we can give him the platform to make them money ideally with us making some too |

I think the speed with Saito happened coinciding with rumours of Chair's injury last week has me fearing the worst. Silence is deafening |

Slightly worried about this one appreciate its social media nonsense but the vibes from Sheff Utd fans are not great |
 | Forum Reply | Charlton Line Up at 15:42 25 Aug 2025
Our aim has to be a clean sheet. Charlton are all about defence at the moment and if they score we will struggle. They play a high press. We need to be solid, direct play a high line and get the most out of Kone who can battle and hold the ball up. Drop Dembele play Smith on the right, Kolli on the left and 3 in midfield with Varane or Field sitting in front of the back four properly protecting the defence. Bring Naardi back and cut out the pissballing at the back, if Leicester are not breaking their press neither are we. |
 | Forum Reply | Saito at 22:11 24 Aug 2025
The problem with Dembele is he cannot defend so it leaves the full back exposed unless we play 4-3-3 We know with Saito that he can track back and he can play defensively, but I suspect we might find in the next day or two that Chair might be out for a while and that's why they have made a move. That being said we are screaming out for a midfielder with Colback no longer in the picture and would not be surprised to see one or two in that position someone with a bit of experience. The worry with Hayden is that he has only once in his career made more than 30 appearances in a season. We need someone with legs, nouse and availability |

Was not the keeper, was not the centre backs or the left back. IMHO It was central midfield Varane and Field and the entire right side that was totally dysfunctional Dunne, Dembele and Morgan all having mares. plus not having an out ball with Burrell up top. Nearly every goal they had the freedom of the park where the midfield should have been protecting the defence, Varanne not tracking and Field has fallen of a cliff this season. Also dont be surprised to see Dunne get a retrospective 3 game ban for that elbow. |

Really!!! I've been on this board since its inception, Rivals before that, qprdot.org and qpr.org when battletank set it up. Through relegations, admins, merger plans as much as DaveB, Finney and other who were on all of those. I am at this time agnostic about Nourry, the strategy as laid out makes sense and seems to be more of one than we had before. I recognise we have had a terrible start, I love my club and want it to exist and thrive. We are living in a time where everyone seems to be outraged about everything all the time most of it based on misinformation and speculation and the belief that there is always an easy answer and a short term fix and that leads to terrible reactionary decision making that makes things worse. If in 8-10 games time we are in the relegation zone with no prospect of it getting better, then fine I'm on board. At the moment it is far too early and turning on the club, the manager the players the CEO is only going to make things worse. |

The key point is 3 games. 10 games 20 games get it. 3 games, 2 weeks in, new coach, new players massive injury list, poor start. Absolute tanking. way way too early to be getting out placards |

Er that does not answer the question, that's akin to vaccine sceptics saying do your own research ? What is the outcome you are hoping to achieve? We are pretty much shooting Par every year give or take a good or bad year for our income |

If that was true we would know about it. Dave Mcwould know, Lassel would know it would have come out pretty quickly. Even if they were the best of buddies do you really think Marti would have turned down Leicester, parachute payments etc. The only way he was ever staying another season was if he had been so mediocre that no one wanted him and good enough for us not to sack him. The window for that set of circumstances was tiny. |

Leicester played exactly how we started last season, same patterns etc, only difference was they had the players to get away with it, and Charlton had very little going forward, and what they did get came from Leicester giving the ball away when failing to beat the Charlton press |

What exactly are you protesting against a 7-1 loss and a poor 1st half display against Watford? A lengthy injury list? Buying Nicolas Madsen in the last transfer window? Not being in the top 6 We are 3 league games in. Am I the only one that has not been captured by the outrage machine and can see how ridiculous this all is? Christ, how must this look to a Sheff Wed, or Hull who have genuine reasons to be protesting. |

Nourry is not sitting in his office doing it all on his own of the back of football manager. He has a team of people who they employ to identify. The window has not closed they planned to give Larkeche a run after positive reports after the Scottish loan. He did his ACL they about to sign the Sheff Utd lad on loan. They signed Madsen they also signed Varane they signed Celar they also signed Morrison what is your point Neil Warnock signed Joey Barton and Shaun Wright Phillips for FFS all managers and all clubs make good and bad signings. When you are shopping at Temu rather than Selfridges you are going to get some bargains and some tat. And jeeze if you think this is the worst squad in our history I dont know what you've been watching over the last 20 years, let alone the Ainsowrth period We've just been on the end of a right hiding but the hysteria is so out of proportion to actual reality |

Just a point of order on Marti. Regardless of his relationship with Nourry he was always going at the end of the season. QPR was a stepping stone, if he did well he would be picked up by another club if he did badly he would be replaced. Do you really think if Marti and Nourry had been best buddies and Leicester had come calling that he would not have gone? Oh and I watched Leicester v Charlton today and Leicester played exactly the same way as we did at the start of last season, same routines same issues in midfield and Julien set up today just as Marti would have mid season in a more pragmatic 4-3-3. Truth is Varane, Field and Morgan were out worked and out played and well off the pace. I'm sorry but some of this is boarding on conspiracy theory stuff. There is a framework (call it game model) and the purpose of that framework is to enable the club to trade upwards to be able to compete and you can't do that playing kick and rush counter attack or long ball. I get it. I get having all the junior sides set up the same way and recruiting players for that set up. I get having development coaches and a set piece coach working across multiple teams and ages If someone 2 years ago came to us with this as the written strategy whilst we are watching Jimmy Dunne punt a long ball over the head of Lyndon Dykes under Ainsworth you would say absolutely that is what we should do. There is no evidence Nourry is picking the team. You might argue the Joe Walsh selection truth is we dont know, we dont know if it's the goalkeeping coaches, the development coaches, Stephan, Nourry, Belk or a combination or committee. It's pure speculation. The argument for Walsh is if not when. The answer may be we find he is not up to it as it was with Lumley. But let's be honest Nardi had a pretty poor 2nd half of the season and his lack of command of the box has cost us, so you could make a case for it. The fitness side however is a huge error and a big big part of our problem and what happened today The difference in our ability to get up the field with Kone on or as with last season with Frey is massive. |

I thought there was a consensus that we should play 3 in midfield and that would be Varane, Field and Morgan all of whom were terrible today. I think the only contensious pick today was Cook ahead of mbengue. We've had a league cup game which we threw away by playing 16 year olds a poor half at Watford and an absolute tanking today and everyone is calling for half the clubs head The reaction is batshit. Yes if we are on the end of a few more or there is no improvement in the next month or two fair dos but this is so over the top. |
 | Forum Reply | What went so wrong today? at 19:21 23 Aug 2025
The midfield and the right side. The midfield were far too passive all three of them and failed to compete. God knows what is wrong with Sam Field at the moment it's like he is playing with lead weights in his boots. The right side Dunne, Morgan and Dembele were utterly woeful and Dembele is a liability defensively. Dunne clearly unfit and Morgan just has a mare With Burrell upfront we had no out ball, Kone made a massive difference once he came on Added to that Coventry scored from practically every shot they had and most of them were un-saveable [Post edited 23 Aug 19:43]

Varane, Field and Morgan had 6 tackles or interceptions between them. We were passive exactly as we were last season at the start under cifuentes. The entire right side Dunne, Morgan Dembele was totally dysfunctional all our issues stemmed from not competing in the middle and how poor those three were on and off the ball first half and having no out ball (could not understand why we were not at least trying to hit Kolli) Only positive was Kone who looks up to this level in a way I dont think Burrell is. |
