Carlisle tickets

Exactly, the only way to get the message across to the Carlisle CEO's of this World (standing in an uncover terrace for 2 hours +) is to hit them were it hurts most, in the pocket, Carlisle will make a hansom sum of money from the Dale attendance if everyone took your lead Nafelad ( I'm not saying that Daley's shouldn't attend, I'm simply making a point) then the Carlisle top brass would soon get the message and provide seats with cover !

NL Cup v Blackburn u21s
at 15:12 18 Sep 2025

A friend of mine has resigned for his local Dog and Duck Sunday League Team it's a £50 signing on fee (the squad required a new kit) £10 per game, £5 weekly training, the players pay for their own fines, travel and wash their own kit , purely pay to play armature football, the Club have signed 4 - 5 new players this season, over the first 3 games my friend hasn't been involved, not even on the bench, my friend, has it happens isn't a bad player however, he is well aware that if he raises his situation with the manager then he'll be told something along the lines of "I can only play 11 players and pick 5 subs and we have 25 players singed" if he sulks or kicks off he knows he'll be told like it or lump it and/or shown the door !
My friend knows full well that currently the time isn't right for him and that come February there'll be injuries, suspensions, Ikea with the Missus and too many pints supped Saturday night, he'll suck it up and bide his time and continue to attend training giving his all, Mr Burger if you read this post please take note !

Mcnultys defence

I have to agree with you Clivert, everything's going fantastically smoothly then Big Jim seems to find a way to screw things up, obviously I'm hoping for promotions but like you I can't see it with Jim at the helm, I'm done with Jim now !

Exactly, to make 11 changes has got to be up there with the most insane footballing decisions Big Jim has ever made, he'll most likely screw up again and again, he doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes and as far as I'm aware he hasn't ever acknowledged any responsibility, I spoke with my son post match, his summery was " if it's going well Jim will find some way to screw it up" although he didn't say screw !
That sums Jim up for me.
Just to add, Jim seems to lack any conserns over the consequences of his actions, brushing his mistakes under the carpet and plucking the odd positive out of one massive negative !

Three games into the season professional footballers don't require a rest, I've said it before and I'll most likely say it again Big Jim never seems to learn for his mistakes nor does he admit to having made mistakes, how he has managed to screw up what was a brilliant start to the season beggars belief but hardly surprising, I'm hoping that he'll offer Dale Fans his rationale for making 11 changes, thats the least he can do !

"Just find myself wishing I hadn't " (read the article) I'm exactly the same, I wish for once he'd admit to getting tactics and/or substitutions wrong, he just won't/can't, at least he won't be able the apply the oppositions bigger budget excuse too many times this season !

So no pre warning, that bags aren't allowed ?
What's the matter with Dale at the Top Table, it's the same old, two steps forward and one step backwards and/or visa versa !

New Season, new mindset required.

As a fan base I believe that we have to insist upon a review and overhaul the Greg and Big Jim post match show, it's an embarrassing pointless exercise, I've stopped watching, there are enough dissatisfied active customers on this forum to affect change and provide Dale Fans with something other than a pre scripted love in !

Good post Sutty, just like most posts on the subject, I don't think that he can/will learn, to me Big Jim seems blinkered, his way or the high way, his recent interview like many before was a car crash an ideal oppertunity to rally the troops for the coming season, sadly missed, I'm thinking whist I type, sorry I'm going off track but it's been said previously he's attracting the types of players who are passive, meek and mild natured, the types of personalities I wouldn't want in the trenches with me unless it carrying water or running errands, he seems to recruit players who readily accept his personal take on the game and won't/don't challenge him, players who he can easily befriend, for me he doesn't have any credit tokens left in the Bank should he single headedly lose us an important game like he did against Southend then that'll surely be the beginning of Big Jim's demise !

Incoming ..... another club teaser
at 15:46 1 Jun 2025

I've stated this previously, surely we have someone in the squad who's able to throw a ball into the oppositions box, then I realised that McNumpty will never advocate the "long throw" as it's much too crude of a tactic for his "tippy, tappy tripe" style of play - having said you're spot on Yorkshire you need someone on the end of it and Mitchell was a tap in specialist from not so hard low crosses from wide, he couldn't/can't head or control a high ball therefore, no point in a long throw when he was in the team !

Dale Released List Confirmed
at 12:33 24 May 2025

Exactly 442, baffling to say the least, for whatever reason McNulty doesn't like Ferguson however, as far as I'm concerned he has lots of untapped potential, when he played he didn't put a foot wrong, I can only hope that he finds another club (he will) gets plenty of on pitch minutes and proves McNumpty wrong, again !

What types of players are you looking to recruit ?
Well Greg, Erm - I shan't be recruiting any big personalities, you know those players with their own tactical opinions, those types who express themselves on and off the pitch, those who lift the dressing room and excite the fan's, you see Greg that's my job ..........

Should he stay or should he go?
at 12:02 18 May 2025

Excellent post Sutty, as have the vast majority on this thread, regarding not so big Jim "should he stay or should he go" I believe that most Dale fans are singing from the same hymn sheet that it's time for a change, as many have stated that sadly won't be coming to fruition for at least another season !
I'd like to add if I may, my take is that Jim has similar attitude (Dale having reached the play off remit but not being good enough for promotion) to the sales person thats instructed by the sales manager to sell 100 units of whatever from January through to end of December, the target is met by November an order for a further 20 units comes in early December, the sales person has fulfilled the objective and refuses sell the additional 20 units - I've done what was asked and I'm happy with that !
Jim will never sign players with "big characters" you know the types you'd want in the trenches with you, as these types of players usually come with their own idea's, views and opinions and aren't afraid to share them, this type of personality may prove to be too challenging for him to manage !
Jim's post match interviews have become totally embarrassing, staged managed verbal diarrhoea, I'm suggesting that the Club dispense with the current Club employee interviewer and access a credible interviewer or scrap the whole thing altogether !

TVOS Preview - Rochdale v Southend United (Playoffs)
at 10:53 16 May 2025

Whoever we recruit they'll have a certain personality that enables them to sing to Big Jim's tune, no idea's, no opinions, no suggestions, someone on the forum previously referenced the "battleground" when it comes to fixing bayonets going over the top Jim's trenches will be full of first aiders, message runners and water carriers!
There's no better time (my opinion) for a change than the present, sadly it won't happen I know !

I thought that Big Jim would have been the star turn as he has a brilliant comedy act, can you arrange an away fans special night - guaranteed to be laughing their bollocks off, it might even lead to a money spinning national tour !

KM can't head, he can't trap, he can't shoot or should I say he needs to work upon all these aspects of his game however, he certainly isn't lazy - I'd like to see his running stats, by my reckoning his mileage per game is likely to be up there with the most active in the squad !
