Southport boss Neil Danns has been given a suspended six-month ban for past breaches of the Football Association's rules on betting.
Former midfielder Danns, 42, has also been fined £1,000 after admitting placing 65 bets on football matches.
He is currently manager of National League North side Southport, but the offences took place between 17 February 2007 and 13 August 2022 when he was a player.
During that time he played for a number of different sides including Birmingham City, Crystal Palace, Leicester City and Bolton Wanderers. |

Was told that the Tractors paid 250k to upgrade the pitch . Guess they want something back for their money.
See many Tractor tops around, will be interesting to see how many of the new Tractor kit will surface on my local travels. |

How much of the debt in building of the stadium has been paid ?
The building of the stadium was estimated at 10m ( ? ) has I recall and was financed by the Council through grants and loans. The club / Chairman paid a rent for the facility on the income generated by the club but any shortfall was made up by the Chairman has I remember . So about twenty years on what percentage has been paid up ?

Plymouth Argyle have signed Fleetwood Town captain Brendan Wiredu for an undisclosed fee.
Argyle have not disclosed the length of the 25-year-old midfielder's contract at Home Park - he had 12 months left on his deal at the Cod Army.
Wiredu scored seven goals in 123 games for Fleetwood after joining them from Colchester United three years ago.

FORMER Colchester United goalkeeper Owen Goodman has joined League One side Huddersfield Town on a season-long loan deal.
That’s U’s, Wimbledon and now Huddersfield for season loans, working his way up the leagues.
