Started brightly and well in the game until the route one goal which was schoolboy defending by both centre half’s and goalie. Getting a equaliser was vital ,but more schoolboy defending letting guy easily to the byline in the box more crap defending. Edwards going off changed the game for the U’s, has Scully played on other side and not wide and hence those upfront lost positional play not knowing where to ball was likely to go into the box spaces. Tidy and top against shabby and schoolboy defending display. Need now to put in a performance mid week to make amends, other wise do not look above mid table has the new dawn sinks behind cloud has winter sets in . [Post edited 28 Sep 18:48]

Throughly professional performance today. Now must become the standard. Showed what this squad is capable of if the consistency is there. Just get the basics right with supply of decent ball in the box to get at the end of. Congrats to Taylor in getting his hundredth league goal, took it well under pressure . One criticism, when the defence was under pressure several times the ball was given away because of not a decent call by another which could have the visitors getting back in a game they did not deserve ( gripe over ). No more false dawns please, time to progress from this . |

Another side who get a goal start through our own making. No hard press with the ball moving around much too slowly. Looked much like last season although Edward’s gave us a spark that was missing . Could not press on after the equaliser. A good side would have turned this game around. Unbeaten with two draws sums up our need to be sharper in and around the box. |

Perhaps the answer is to pre order a printed copy for collection or posted, so still available to collectors and groundhoppers. Otherwise the e-copy to be available again . At least this would eradicate the wastage, especially those left around the ground post match . |

Programmes were available for the two cup games , but only from the shop. None were in the concourse, but then it is too late to then obtain one from the shop having entered into the stand. [Post edited 3 Sep 17:28]

Too late for this season just wish it had an illustrated cover rather than a picture of a player on the front. Since becoming the United magazine it all looks to familiar with a player on the front . A different design every season instantly made you recall the squads, highlights and matches of that time, ( yes know the last few seasons would rather forget ) but the current player pic does not. How about running a competition around the schools for budding graphic designers having a go. |

Certainly can talk a good punditry game, showed his experience but now can he play for ninety minutes . Lyle Taylor a summariser in last night televised game on Sky, Salford v MKD . Plenty of U’s interest with Jamie Jones, Ashley, Chesters , Garbutt and Gilbey all playing . |

Perhaps new requirements are now required with such claims and counterclaims. Everything needs to be transparent from the referee and possible assessors reports sent to the FA , PFA and made public. |

Like Saturday only got ourselves to blame. Never a foul for the goal, defender lost balance under pressure and should have been knocking the ball out . Got a lifeline and take the game to penalties, not taken . Always had us at arms length, had decent composure throughout, pressured us better and first touch what you expect from PL outfit. Harsh, but league performances now need to see points on the board . |

Only got ourselves to blame , one mistake at the back being the diffence. Cannot rely on the officials giving us decisions, need to create your own openings. Otherall a good display but more ruthless in front of goal . Nothing out of a descent display, football can be cruel , keep heads up and move on . |
