That Liverpool game there was 3 of us. Alan Griffiths was one of them who ended up being a main front with c mob.

We always gave each other a customary nod later on in passing as our paths differed. Once coming back from Oldham they ran amok stealing all the food in one of the services. Alright Alan, alright Mark as mayhem endured.

Millwall away 1971/2 at the den sitting on a crash barrier on the halfway line with my Dad wearing a blue and white woolen scarf around my neck. Some young herbert starts trying to take it off me. Policeman sees it and then stands next to me for the rest of the game.

Thing is Dad not only took me to the den at 11 yrs old he also let me wear a scarf as well.

Innocent times.

Away games just a good day out with the game being an anti climax at times.
Great company and also getting to see the country and an education. Speke in Liverpool, the slag heaps at Barnsley and how little love there was for Londoners.

80 of us at Anfield opening game of the season 78/79. Away support has definitely risen. I think the LSA taking coaches and our stint in League 1 seemed to galvanize the support base.

A whole sports industry here in the States based on artificial surfaces. My gut says they know but unsubstantiated evidence and organized pay to play sports would be compromised.

You can know get an environmental playing surface. The one near me in Patterson Park is yellow. I talked to my boss a few weeks ago about this. Problem is these fields are played on all year round and need extremely durable material’s. The environmental one is not.

In the summer the turf and crumbs bake. You can see the heat coming off of it like ghost like wavy lines. 120 degrees on the turf at times.

I did my c license coaching badge here when Klinsmann was the US men’s head coach. The whole syllabus was based on playing 4-3-3. Seriously the paperwork as well making sure you understand the formation and its principles. I remember saying to the course instructor what happens when he gets sacked. Dropped as soon as he was gone for another hare brained scheme. Now it’s power point presentations and very little actual coaching.

This our glorious leader is why you can’t dictate or control football methodologies They are flawed.
