Ramming up the M1 - Match Thread
at 17:05 24 Oct 2025

This will be 2 home games for them this week, and we will have had to travel twice. Also they have an extra days rest/training opportunity.
A draw would be good return.
But..... I feel another sneaky win is on the cards.

Expat Friendly v Swansea
at 16:26 23 Oct 2025

Thanks as usual Boston. The commentary (home based I assume) said at the end that we have picked up more away points than any other team in our league since the start of April.
Thats quite an impressive stat. I guess its because we like to counter attack. And tbh getting better at it all the time. I think with Chair now involved we can go a small step higher.

My best mate (now deceased) was a fanatic Heerenveen fan and said we had ourselves a great player which I posted on here. Last season he kept telling me that we should be patient and we would soon see his true worth.
I trusted my mad dutch friend so said no more on here although I really wanted to defend him sometimes such was the abuse he was getting. I get enough stick from certain posters as it is.
R.I.P buddy. You were, as always, totally right.

Welcome Tampa.
The more games Mbengue plays, the more he will be unavailable for.
No mention of Chair in your planning.

I can't believe Nardis getting stick for the goals on here. Talk about wanting a scapegoat. I despair sometimes.

Another Prick in the Wall - kitty litter edition QPR vs Millwall match thread.
at 13:36 18 Oct 2025

Not been unimpressed with the performance. Bossed the majority of the game. We've been unlucky with both goals to be honest. I think some of the critiscism on here is a tad unfounded. Sometimes you don't get the rub of the green. More interested in how we respond 2nd half.

I just think it clutters a mb that already covers every subject under the sun as well as football.

Team and bench for Millwall - thoughts

No Numpty, no offence intended.
I always keep and eye on oppenents message boards. And the one thing I've noticed is how many have just one thread for pregame/game/and afterthoughts. All in one thread. Here on LFW, theres often several pre match threads similar in subject, and so so many aftergame threads. Sometimes bordering on the ridiculous.
Im now thinking this has nothing to do with your post at all lol, so should have started my own. Whatever. I just think it would be better to have all the games opinions in one thread like other MBs do, and that some don't just start a new thread because they want their opinion to be highlighted.

Intelligently written and enjoyable reading with the odd sprinkling of humour. Made me smile a few times.
Not too shabby Dorse, thanks. 👍

That made me chuckle.
Great report Clive as usual.

Well I'd rather he starts than Dembele. When Chair and Pokuman are back, ok, probaly sub, but can't see what Dembele does to any effect. Much rather have Smyth for an hour than 20-30 minutes. His protective game for the fullback is also surely a consideration. Better to be in the game earlydoors than relying on him to come on and chase the game.

I don't understand why he's not starting on the right atm tbh.

True, but I'd prefer them running at them from the start.
For me, that looks like a side looking for a draw rather than a win. But as said, a strong bench to change things.

Morrison Goal Line Clearance Thread

Totally agree about Mbengue. The sh.ts gonna hit the fan sooner or later. Proberly sooner.
I think Morrison is a solid third choice atm, but kudos to him that hes filling the position well. I've not seen enough from him to say he's our next big sale.
As you said, Edwards back and a fit (haha) JCS would promote this team into the top 6 imo.

All I can say is, he was excellent in Denmark, and also for Herenveen in Holland. My Dutch best friend (Herenveen fan) raved about him. So I've been quietly waiting and expecting him to come good after he'd acclimatised to the championship. Crossing fingers we will see the best of him.

All the talk about Kone and Burrell, and deservedly so, but I have to say Saito looks a class above the rest. Even better than last season. I love the guy and I feel my heart will be broken before long.
Next summers Eze.
