I doubt very much that Edwards will be available to us now given he is holding a place in Saints first team.
Even if they made him available I doubt that we would be able to afford the fee they would want.

If we are going to progress we need to find another goalkeeper, not impressed by the two who have kept goal this season.
Lets ask Stoke if they will let us have their man in January.

Who was responsible, who on earth thought that Pink and Black looks good. Dennis the Menace or Green Hoops for me.
Dennis shirts make us look tough, Pink just gives the oppos a laugh.

I think Mr Welbeck has played all his games in the premier which is very impressive.

I agree Brian I think we should be looking for a younger player, I can't see any sell on value here which I thought was the plan. Also it's possible that he will block the pathway of a younger player.
I don't disagree he could come on now and do a job, if fit, in my opinion he always gives 100% + but I think we should be looking for a younger player.

That Mbengue tackle
at 05:52 21 Sep 2025

It would be interesting to know if he had been sent off while playing for Reading and how many yellow cards he was given.
The way he seems to play for us looks like he won't finish every game he starts, there's a red card waiting somewhere along the line.
I really like him, love his attitude and it seems he really likes being here but we need him on the field not off it.

For the first time in a very long time we seem to have a strong starting eleven and a strong bench, plus players still making their way back.
At this time of year we are normally saying the future looks bleak, this season we can say the future looks bright, a very welcome change and long overdue.

I'm very pleased the way Norrington Davies has slotted in makes you wonder whom he upset at his previous club. Much better than I expected, so well played him.

I would love to see Ronnie here as an attacking midfielder, in my opinion he can do that job.

Norrington-Davis thoughts?

Looked comfortable on the ball and seemed to slot in very easily with the others around him, you couldn't tell he has only just arrived.
Looks promising.

In Advanced Talks With Edwards
at 11:24 31 Aug 2025

Mbengue, Morrison, Cook, JCS, Akindileni, Field, Hayden, Smith, all can play centre half to varying standards.
The first question is, if he is affordable should we sign Ronnie Edwards ?
The second question is, is he a better player than the ones above if the answer is yes than in my opinion we should make every effort to sign him, if the answer is no then we should move on and forget him saying thanks for the effort he put in last season and wish him good luck for the future.
I think he could have a good career as an attacking midfield player, strong in the tackle and in the air, eye for a pass and not frightened to bring the ball out.
If you can improve the team by making an affordable signing it makes sense to do so.
