 | Forum Thread | What went so wrong today? at 18:09 23 Aug 2025
I wasn’t able to get there or watch. Possession not too uneven and Coventry’s xG was only 1.1 according to the beeb. Was Walsh chucking them in? Worldies? Individual errors? [Post edited 23 Aug 18:10]

 | Forum Thread | Just back - Watford reflections at 19:25 16 Aug 2025
Mbengue was not good at left back. Cook has lost some pace and with that some confidence. A couple times he overcommitted early because, I guess, he didn't think he'd be able to recover. Unlike last week, Field played deep and Madsen further forward. Even so, Sammy arrived on two good chances...and put them both wide. A theme. Madsen effete, as so often. Burrell promising and physical. Some games Dembele just gets bullied by the big boys. Needs to learn how to con fouls from Smyth the master. Ref was annoying and a bit of a homer, but of course we've known worse and it didn't affect the result. We looked pretty good for the 20 minutes we had a balanced 11 (i.e., once Esquerdinha and Varane came on, and before Celar came one). What a hit from Kieran. Chair worked really hard. Would love to see his heat map. We'll be ok if we can get anything like our first 11 playing regularly. [Post edited 16 Aug 19:26]

 | Forum Thread | Watford away travel at 16:41 14 Aug 2025
I've always just taken the met line, but I see there's a southern rail train from Shepherd's Bush at 13:55 which should get me to the ground by 14:45. Anyone advise against that? |
 | Forum Thread | Places for a new ground at 09:52 26 Feb 2025
I was just musing that there would be sufficient space for a new ground at the Willesden Sports Centre. In the middle of Willesden Green, Willesden Junction, Kensal Rise, and Kensal Green for dissipating crowds and transport links. Close to our origin story. I haven't heard this mentioned before so thought I'd add it here. |

Considering a Father’s Day gift but have a question. Can you do sport in them? Anyone tried? And are they sized similarly to the actual kit? Ta |

Have we done this already. Probably. Anyway I saw some insta crud about Barcelona's best 5, and I think our best would compare. First few that come to mind are: Buzsacky vs Blackpool Taarabt vs Preston Clive Allen vs West Ham Wegerle vs Leeds Sinclair vs Barnsley Ainsworth vs Rushden Phillips vs Palace |

From bottom of the relegation 8 (excluding Rotherham) we’re now top. Some change around. [Post edited 1 Apr 2024 17:03]

 | Forum Thread | VAT software at 20:40 15 Nov 2023
This site is the home of so much experience... I'm a sole trader and I need to start reporting VAT. My affairs are pretty simple. One invoice a month or so. Very few expenses if any. I'm on a flat rate scheme. I'd rather report myself and don't feel the need to pay an accountant but apparently I need to use software for 'making tax digital'. Can anyone recommend any simple software, preferably free? |
 | Forum Thread | More gloom - will training ground loan get repaid? at 22:12 25 Oct 2023
A thought occurred to me today. The owners have checked out. They’ve given up. Ruben’s grieving and got his dads businesses to sort. Tony’s out. Amit’s golfing with Pieterson. Les has bailed. Rowett and Eustace get sacked, yet ainsworth… If they’ve checked out, do they want to write a cheque for £2m per month? What happens if they don’t? And if they don’t, what happens to the money I lent them to build the training ground? Will they want to pay me back? Any buyer would rather buy something in league 1 debt free, with an admin points deduction already incurred, than buy something with relegation, debt and deductions looming… [Post edited 26 Oct 2023 10:24]

 | Forum Thread | More cryptic insta from chris willock at 13:47 21 Jul 2023
His '@childofgod' insta story 45 minutes ago has an hourglass, and a blue heart. Note, not a blue and white heart. Now my (highly speculative) interpretation is that he's just waiting for the hand of god to help Glasgow Rangers pull their finger out. |

Apart from the water not quite tasting like it ought to, anyone got any tips? We have 5 nights in August. Will stay one in Palma but otherwise open to suggestions. Love good food, scenery, don’t have to be on the beach… |
