Er, because we do. Maybe even two. And a central midfielder. |

Playing games is the best for fitness. We get told that again and again, So why leave the first team, full of people blowing out of their a**es collectively after 60 minutes on Saturday at home? ARRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! |

He said that they were tired at the end of the game. So was the first team on Saturday and they clearly could not face another 90 so soon after. WTF is our Performance Director actually doing? We are a football club NOT a fckn "Project"... |

Walsh spilled a cross on Saturday and almost cost us the game. It is just a matter of time with him. He kicked a ball straight out into the Stanley Stand on Saturday uncontested from about 5 yards in from the touch line. He is NOT the answer and should be nowhere near our no.1. Nardi proved tonight that he can kick, can save, but does not leave his goalline. He cost us at least one goal tonight and should be nowhere near our no. 1. Murphy Cooper has had season long loans ending up as the PotS at those other clubs. He should be close to being our no.1, but they have loaned him out. Odd... |

Even if they had held on, it was daylight robbery that we were two nil up in that game. It was men against boys (funnily enough). "Plaudits" for fielding QPR's youngest team ever? FCKOFF, All been said on the board playing an exclusively young team does no-one any favours whatsoever. They will not be playing together in a league game and will have some experience with them if they ever graduate to the first team. The fans have a wasted trip. The management learns absolutely nothing. The first teamers actually "fit" (and there's a laugh) to play couldn't even get MATCH PRACTICE, which we're constantly told that there is no substitute for. Those that played were up against it in a team like that. Nardi must feel well and truly arse reamed after that - not only are you dropped for a barely better kid, but you are handed the captain's arm band and made to babysit that creche. He showcased what he was all about today - great distribution (Joe Walsh, take note - Paul did not kick a free kick straight into touch tonight), great shot stopping and an abject fear of crosses sticking to his line (second goal all on him). Vale much the same. Is he our left back now? Some good appearances from the boys - I saw Wilkie at Winchester and he was impressive then as he was tonight; Putman grew into the game at right back (but he is hardly a like for like with our First Team Right Back, is he?), Smith looked fine. ...and some not so good - Talla looked lost, which he always has when he is anywhere near the first team. ...and where tf did Dixon-Bonner spring from? Minimal pre-season minutes, on trial elsewhere, nowhere near our bench despite the early season injury "crisis" (85% availability my arse) and then a first team game alongside the kids. Typical clown show from teh clown club that we have become. ...and to think that this is the one major trophy we have ever and are ever likely to win. Utter disrespect. Can we be fined for playing such an under strength team? |

Haven't seen him on here for about a year now. Loved the too and fro with someone who actually defended referees no matter what went on during the games. |

Maybe, just maybe, if we can actually start the fckn season with a squad that does not need massive surgery (figuratively and actually) we might be able to take the First Round of the League Cup seriously? Plymouth are ripe for the taking, but not by our kids. Good luck to anyone mad enough to be there. I'll pass thanks... |

I can only think that he thought it was taken from the wrong place. Iverson utterly hoofed that clearance; no-one could pinpoint exactly where it left the field of play with 15 yards, but Langford could somehow from a position 50 yards away remote from the touchline. I mean it isn't as though he was religiously holding anyone to taking throws from the right place all day was it? The usual permission to take a throw that went out right in the corner on the edge of the pen area was in evidence as always. What is the point in having "laws" if these pr1cks interpret them differently every single time. God, I miss Pinner... |

Pleasantly surprised. Good energy, competing well despite the obvious size difference on the pitch. Morgan and Esquerdinha looking fine (although Morgan is yet to be tested defensively). Only worries are Field, who is having a shocker on the ball and the fact that OG remains our most likely scorer... Testing 45 to come. |

Just so frustrated that we always start a season undercooked and end up playing catch up. It'd be lovely to start without a defeat for 2-3 matches, but I feel it is more likely that we will be looking for our first win after 3, which is just frustrating. Will it be the end of the world? No, of course not, but if we were to lose to Preston and Charlton at home and Watford away they are not good results in the context of a league where we HAVE to be better than those teams. So, I get the "chill out, its a long season", but... |

Really? Based on what exactly? That 85% figure spouted by Williams at teh Forum sounds fishy to me. The kids and Dev Squad seem to be mostly available (less games, less physical games, etc.), so throw them in to the pot and you can easily skew the actual meaningful measure, which if first teamers lost time. JCS, Cook, Dunne, Frey, Smyth, Varane, Lloyd, (Richards - stop laughing!). What's that; 5/6 first choice players out before the season has even started? 50% of the first team - how many other Champ teams are in that state (Sheff W don't count) right now? |

He scored a couple of goals. Those you name probably would not have. He wasn't great though... |

Re: Frey No-one knows. He's got a contract extension, like JCS, to apparently sit in the Physio's Room. Don't expect to be told when he is expected back any time soon.. [Post edited 7 Aug 17:55]

Won't happen 'til at least after the first game - competitive advantage you know. Bet Preston are sh1tting themselves... |
 | Forum Reply | Inside training video at 06:04 7 Aug 2025
Problem is take this kids out of training and we'd have as many players as Sheff Wed have. Hoping that the state of art training facility has a large enough Physio Room. Hearing that JCS, Frey, Varane and Cook already have their own recovery suites - name plaques and everything... Also we can't loan out those that need one most yet again as they are our back up even if they are not ready... [Post edited 7 Aug 6:06]
