We have looked a class above them, although they are far from the worst side we've played. We look far too strong for them in attack, and really could aim for a bag full here. Hogan has been good barring ( I think) his first touch which gifted them the ball when he underhit a pass to Gilmore in the opening minutes. Think they will bring their new players on for the second half and have a real go for it, which could play into our hands. Ferguson will hopefully be very ashamed at his blatant cheating Really poor form from him. |

Whose eyebrows? Everyone i know saw the same thing. Rubbish who might score the odd goal because he was a tall lad. Otherwise he's just not very good. |

Indeed Sandman. Well said .yes, we sometimes have a grumble about various things here and there, but we were there when the going was really tough and but for you and several dozen like minded supporters, we would be playing the likes of the club who had to completely start again.. Up the Dale |

I have to disagree about it being the regular fans who feel more annoyed when we underperform in a "big game". I'd say it's exactly the opposite. Those who turn up 2 or 3 times a season when it is an important game are the ones who go away saying "same old Dale" and then don't bother for another few months. The diehards have seen it all before and although annoying, they will be back week after week supporting the team. That's exactly why we should go at the opposition from the start and field our strongest available team without exception. It's why I still fear for McNulty's relationship with the support. Last night we were way too cautious even before the kick off, and certainly for the first hour or so. Yes; when the substitutions were made, we deserved something from the game, but ultimately, it's a results business and several hundred "once or twice a season" people will go home having witnessed a loss. Would I have taken our league position now before the season started? Absolutely. Could we have done better in the 2 games we have lost? Absolutely. |

Well played Halifax. We were the architects of our own downfall with the return of slow sideways build up from the back. Got to say that the introduction of Hogan unsettled Gordon in particular whilst Alarakia was largely ineffective. I'd also say that either Mani had a poor game by his high standards or alternatively, he was superbly marked. Agree that our two central midfielders were good, and the introduction of Rodney and Bercoe improved us. |

Bit too cautious all round tonight. The changes haven't worked out so far and the defending for their goal was poor. We need the attacking urgency of recent games but have to give Halifax credit for the way they have defended so far. Come on Dale. |

Very satisfying performance. We more or less had the game won in 20 minutes, and the Beckwith goal just after half time sealed it. Solihull not the worst team we've faced and you can see why they have improved recently, but they couldn't cope with our first half high press and movement. Everyone played their part, but a special mention for EEL, who has definitely improved leaps and bounds from last season following his long injury. Loved us playing in white shorts and socks which, although forced, looks so much better than black. Onto Saturday which promises to be a really stern test. They'll be itching to put last nights drubbing behind them, and hopefully, we can replicate our recent good form. Up the Dale. |

We started like a train tonight and have looked a class above Solihull. 3-0 so far just coming up to half time and could have been more. |

Not really disagreeing that there's been significant rainfall over the last few days...but I do think it could have been communicated so much better to alert people who had to travel considerable distances from both clubs. I also think we need a complete rethink on the playing surface.. it wasn't playable on many occasions last season and looks like we will face similar problems this season. This could lead us to fixture congestion and may lead us to drop points that we otherwise would have gained. |

I mentioned earlier that there was standing water towards the TDS end on Tuesday. I'm amazed that this wasn't commented on more. Uts obvious that any significant rainfall ( of which we have had quite a bit this past week) can't drain through the surface to the drains. The only solution will be a complete relaying of the whole playing surface at considerable cost, or a relocation to a new stadium To have not addressed this is stupid. We are now being ridiculed throughout the country Sadly, we are situated in the wettest large town in England, and this problem will never go away. |

Safe journey to all coming. Currently raining hard following steady drizzle all morning. It was concerning that there was what appeared to be surface water on the pitch towards the TDS end on Tuesday. I hope the rain covers have helped protect that area. If there is a postponement today, it doesn't bode well for the coming months. Up the Dale. |

I'd say Altrincham, Sutton and Braintree, plus Truro ( don't see why they can't be included) where we were under a significant amount of pressure in the second half. Add to that the Brackley experiment and I understand why some feel we could go up a gear in the second half. Of course, the very important counter to that view is to point to the league table. We have done really well in winning games when not at our best so far....something we have struggled with recently. |

Very good first half barring some misplaced passing, but a feeling that we took our foot off the gas after the break against a team who looked a class or two below us. I hope this easing off doesn't come back to bite us. Better teams than Braintree would have punished us for it. Still feel that we can do better, but overall it's been an excellent start to the campaign. |

I must confess I know little about Accountancy qualifications, but is this qualification a highly respected one or a more junior one from which you can progress. Either way; it appears that it's a severe reprimand, (as the ruling states) together with being fined a considerable sum of money and being Divested of FMAAT status for 2 years. 2 years... hmm. That rings a bell !! |

Been away much of the weekend, so have only seen the youtube highlights, but will watch it back on DAZN when I get chance. Really impressive win at a difficult place and one that we came unstuck at last time. Early days but I'd much rather be where we are now than anywhere else. Every game is important this season.
