Good shout, in the absence of Keane, Case or Souness how about Jonjo Shelvey, he’s on a free and would fit the bill. |

It’s Sunday, we’re 2-1 up against Portsmouth at 75 minutes, we need a leader on the pitch who can shout and holler at his mates, scare the sh1t out of the opposition, kick some a7se, shut up shop and win the game. Who from the current squad (or wish list) would you bring on? |

So after the excitement of the Villa Park game, any uglies (or their mates) making the long trip to Belgrade? |

I agree and if SR were looking to regain the fans affection, they could really earn a big Brucie bonus as it would be very popular with the fan base. |

Bloody hell, I know a win is a win but after that performance I’m surprised anybody would travel to watch England. Dull dull dull…I wouldn’t get out of bed, |

Welcome Tony, For my 80th birthday my friends chipped (not crisps) in to hire a hooker. She danced seductively, then sat on my lap. She whispered in my ear "I'm here to give you super sex!" I thought about it and then asked her "what kind of soup?" |

Looks like Hedgeend and Pat are in the lead having supported England in Qatar, can anybody go the extra mile and beat this 4000+ mile journey? |
 | Forum Reply | Travels with England at 16:52 4 Sep 2025
Well 76 you would probably get the prize for the most difficult journey (if there was a prize), but I reckon I’m still leading on the furthest miles front. |

I’ve not traveled for a few years with England (too expensive), but wondered which of us Uglies might have traveled the furthest, here’s my longest journey who can beat it. Sept 2011 vs Bulgaria in Sofia 3-0 win for England |

Think the shackles will be off from kick off, I’m going with a Saints 3-1 win. |

After yesterday’s game all I see is a group of ‘talented’ individuals, we don’t seem to be playing as a team which I feel is due to the transfer window. After Watford, we’ve a two week break before the Portsmouth game. The transfer window closes on the 1st so we should have a solid and final squad of those who have remained and (hopefully) a few new faces. I’d be looking to get these away for a warm weather week to really bond, not just on the training field but socially where they could really get to know one another. It’s a very long season and I’d like to see our team start to gel and work for one another, if they don’t then it could not only be long but also a very frustrating season. |

Looks to me like WS has set his team out for a 0-0, which wouldn’t be such a terrible result. |
