Who’s got the earliest game
at 13:48 2 Jul 2025

Your uncle like my Dad set us both up for a lifetime of triumphs and tribulations, only wish mine was still here to cheer on the team in the new season.

Who’s got the earliest game
at 10:54 1 Jul 2025

Not sure if this has already been done , but was wondering who holds the accolade for the earliest Saints game, I’m only a youngster but will kick it off with the following.
9th August 1969 - home to WBA - lost 2-0
My dad took me to my first ever game and it was a treat for my sixth birthday.
Who’s got an earlier game?

What is middle class nowadays?
at 08:21 24 Jun 2025

Interesting comments from everyone, but nobody’s yet mentioned that in todays society we now seem to have four tiers rather than the traditional three.
Upper, middle and working class used to be the norm, but we now also seem to have the shameless class which depending upon the ingenuity of the person, sits them either above or below the working class position.
I’m referring of course to the person who hasn’t worked a day in their lives, knows how to claim every benefit in Christendom, is probably the second or third generation of the family to have adopted this lifestyle and will still get 100% of their state pension when they ‘retire’.
Now I’m not talking about the people who genuinely need support, but the hundreds of thousands (or more) who know how to play the system, have no job or any intention of getting one, have zero outgoings, a flash car on the driveway, two or three overseas holidays per year and despite all this, still complain about how badly they are done by.
Controversial I know, but who else is fed up with contributing their hard earned to this ‘class’ of person.

Tall Paul linked with Genk

Maybe we should introduce the new rule of charging by the foot, for Tall Paul that would net us a tidy sum, for Ryan Fraser maybe not so much.

Irrespective of who actually wins this crock of sh1t show, I’m pretty sure the main winners will be Liverpool and Arsenal, If any of the important Man City and Chelsea players get injured then the scousers and gunners will be laughing all the way to the bank and winning the league.

I can’t help but think you’re not taking this seriously, it’s a very important competition (well for two clubs at least).

I don't like looking back. I'm always constantly looking forward. I'm not the one to sort of sit and cry over spilt milk. I'm too busy looking for the next cow

Southampton At Everton The Verdict
at 15:48 20 May 2025

I’m not talking about the ability (or not) of the Manager, but the sh1thouse team who predominantly couldn’t give a sh1t whether they were there on not. I did a ten hour, nearly five hundred mile drive to watch a team who by and large just couldn’t be bothered. What a team we would have if the players collectively gave just 10% of the energy and commitment shown by our fans.

Southampton At Everton The Verdict

I think Simon has done as well as he could with the utter sh1thouse team he inherited. A steady if not spectacular return from the six games, I think we could easily have zero points and shipped eighteen goals.

For me, i can see the current two keeping the job, by and large they have steadied the ship and brought a little pride back into the club. This isn’t the solution I would favour, as I feel that they are too inexperienced and perhaps someone like Tony Mowbray would be better suited.
Perhaps SR have the view of spending less time and money on a big name manager, and more on a wholesale clear out of those who have not performed and bring in some decent replacements.

Where are the next generation of Uglies?
at 14:35 9 May 2025

Pat, in 20 to 30 years time I very much doubt that the younger generation will be interested in our message board, more importantly will they even have forums for non-league clubs like ours?

What’s the point?
at 16:08 5 May 2025

I know I’m always banging-on about how rubbish everything is, but I can’t remember a time when the fans were so disillusioned about our beloved football club.
Here’s something to ponder, do we actually want to get another point. One more point would see us officially credited as NOT the worst ever Premier team. Why should the bas7ard owners who’ve produced this sh1t show get away with it. Despite what the stats might say, in my eyes we easily qualify as the joint worst team and that’s what the record books should state.

So 15 minutes to go and really looking forward to the game. I’ve got one comfortable seat, one flask of tea, on cheese sandwich, one mobile to switch off and one very excited grandson. Must all be a sign so going for a 1-0 win.

Tony Mowbray
at 07:39 23 Apr 2025

I see that Tony Mowbray is now available, might be a good appointment to steady the ship next year, although not sure I personally could stomach his brand of god awful boring football.
Whatever we might think, I’m sure our Head of Recruitment will have a strong view.
What’s the general view?

Manchester United, West Ham And Leeds Circling Over Southampton
at 16:58 15 Apr 2025

Sorry Nick but when it comes to goalkeepers I defer to the great oracle of all things football related, Troy Deeney.
In this weeks BBC Team of the Week, Mr Deeney choose Boscombes Kepa who was described as “He didn't do anything extraordinary”, but overlooked Aaron Ramsdale who saved not one but two penalties as well as having a very good game vs Villa.
Can we all start lobbying the Beeb and try to get this poor player, poor manager, poor commentator and poor pundit removed and replaced by someone who knows what their fecking talking about.

Why Adam Lallana Deserves A Second Cnace At Southampton
at 16:24 11 Apr 2025

Quite frankly Nick, I’ve not got the first idea what you’re going on about. Whar is a Cnace anyway, is it some kind of archaic folklore beast or maybe a modern Turkish word for a good football player passed his best.
I feel for you, I’m always getting my wucking merds fuddled as well.

Who do we want as the new permanent Saints manager?

With SR’s track record I think you’ve missed a nailed on and obvious candidate…Wayne Rooney (and I’m not even joking).
