Regarding Sulemana, from what I've read we're getting 15m pounds upfront plus add ons that'll take it to 18m so only a 4m loss on him.
I don't think it's fair to include wages and N.I as we would have likely been paying that to some other player instead. |

Interesting read that Nick , not sure how accurate your figures in terms of outlay and profit made .
The player trading model is understandable as we all want a club that's sustainable.
The problem is we could only accumulate a grand total of 37 points in our last two seasons in the Prem.
Unless something dramatic changes I can see us yo yoing for a few more seasons at best , before we become yet another West Brom, Norwich, Watford.... |

Yeah, I saw Oasis and Blur both at the Guildhall in the mid 90s within 6 months of each other.
Think it was 9 quid a pop!
Great memories but personally I'm happy to leave it all back in the 90s....other than when it's a cheapie tribute band down the Brook! |

I went to see "Noasis" down the Brook few months back.
15 quid ticket, placed was packed full of younguns and oldies.
Everyone sang along like the best football crowd you could be in...cracking night and I'm not a big Oasis fan , I just got persuaded by a mate to come along.
I'm always shocked at the price people are prepared to pay to line the pockets of these faded old rockers. ..suckers or fanatics. |

Pleased for Stephens , this is good news.
Much maligned for some reason whilst so many other mediocre players ...20m THB , 18m Downes get a free pass.
He cost 500k and for me he's a modern day version of Frannie without the tache.
Limited in certain ways but as with Frannie we are a better team when he plays. |

He maybe mediocre but who made more defensive errors last season. 20m THB or 500k Stephens?
When we played in the Championship in 23/24... and I have probably said this a few times , we averaged over 2 pts a game when Stephens played and less when he didn't.
Personally I like Saints winning...hence I prefer players that contribute to wins . |

Fuller would have been my top choice.
Here's a few others.
1. Harrison Reed. Deemed not good enough and fans were happy to see loaned off to Norwich/ Blackburn in an admittedly strong period of decent midfielders at the club. Had some excellent seasons at Fulham.
2. Jason Puncheon. Seemed to fall in and out of love with the club . Went on to play 150 games mainly top level for Palace. Good player.
3. Chris Baird. Another one who went to Fulham and excelled. |

We're a bit short in the wingers department.
This fella just joined QPR on a free transfer.
Hope we don't regret not making a move to get him here.
In a struggling Peterborough side his record is P27, G12, Assists 8.
That's tidy for a winger, and he would have been a freebie.

From memory he looked a decent player in the 1 prem game he started.
I remember a nice dummy to help set up the goal...was it Everton?
Good luck to him , too small and injury prone to ever fully trust.
Hopefully he'll shine in Spain in La Liga 2 and a bigger La Liga side will give us 3 or 4m for him ...otherwise it's 6m wasted. |

Alfie House reporting that Saints are looking to get him a move .
Difficult call .
Pros. Lots of goals and assists in 23/24 and a ton of experience at this level.
Cons. Failed at West Brom , he knows we wouldn't keep him if we do get promoted as he's failed 3 times in the Prem. Maybe it's time to cash in and get 10m from Rangers ...possibly??
Possibly Spors and Still see his lack of height and physical presence as a hindrance to the style of football they want to implement.
