It's possible that Marti was reasonably happy here, as seemed to be the case, even after the Burnley debacle. He may well have been feeling the club wanted him out and getting his agent to check out the WBA situation in case that came to pass. If the club wanted him, they wouldn't be leaving him twiddling his thumbs and putting the new season's preparations in jepeordy. They will find it very difficult to attract an equivalent, or better, replacement within our limited budget. As I posted before, blame and sack the PR company whilst demanding compensation for a poor job. Say it's all been a huge mistake and get Marti back with an improved deal. |

I wish him well. He was a part of the Rrrrrs experience in the 70s & 80s with his programme column and his sports chat on TV where he often managed to get us some coverage. |

To put a different p.o.v. to the 'Billy Big Boll***s' suggestions.. The day before the Burnley debacle, we went to the Training ground to watch the development squad against Brentford. As we drove through the gates Pal and Ashby were driving in the opposite direction after their morning training session. We didn't see any other players, so presumably they had already left or would soon follow. The match was played on the furthest pitch away from the building. Kolli was soon spotted, still in training kit, walking out to watch the game and stayed for the whole 90 minutes, even though we were thumped 5-1, and he walked back to the changing rooms with the players afterwards. For me this demonstrated his care for the club and the development squad players that were his team mates. So yes there may be hype, he may have a pushy agent or father, but he does have some sense of 'having his feet on the ground'. |

The front page of the app is for the latest club news. If there is something to say about the first team, it's gets posted. Most days after the end of the season there is nothing to say. It's a much better site if the front page is constantly updated, hence the news on DS signings and the Women's team. The current situation with a lack of a working manager is far from ideal and is making it far more difficult to sign up new and existing out of contract players. However, the amount of app and website updates is one of the things the club are getting right. It's encouraging more clicks so that has to be a positive. |

Well the PR people have done a crap job. Sack them and sue them for compensation; say it's all been a terrible mistake, the fault of the PR company and offer Marti a bonus to come back funded by the PR company. Everybody wins. Well not the PR company, obviously. |

If they are going to have a third European tournament, why they don't they make it for the highest second tier club that doesn't get promoted? A sort of consolation prize to the losers of the play offs. |

We paid a fee for Bonne, Kelman is our player; we sent him out on loan; he has done what we wanted and had a successful season. We have to attempt to protect our assets, therefore we have to offer him a deal. If he doesn't want to sign, and he is going into his last year, then we try and accept the best offer, this summer. |

Your probably right daveB. I think it's ridiculous. Then you have a couple of pundits, almost certainly on big money on big money as well. I know these 'football celebs' can and do earn big money on the other channels but that's down to them and their subscribers. The BBC needs to spend it's money more wisely and increase the product, the amount of football, and reduced the amount of chat. |

Agree with all of this BUT, as a license fee payer, I do think he was massively overpaid and that the BBC should be using much less. costly but professional 'journalists'. |

Orient didn't play balls into him in the box. The few attacks that they had, their players chose the wrong option and took on speculative shots. Charlie was tightly marked and needs to work on that aspect of his game. Encouraging that with, I think, his only effort on goal he got off a good strike which was deflected on to the bar. He's a striker that scores goals, we don't want to be swapping him for a defender. (unless it's REđł) |

I think he had it before he came to us. Google says he was well known for it at Orient and according to Wiki he learnt it from his Dad. |

Pointing to The Robins today? I hope not, want the O's to win; with Kelman's value increasing and seeing that numpty (Jones) on the receiving end. |

I'm not saying we should sign him, wages likely to be too high, but the Luongo of 2024 was very much a part of Ipswich's automatic promotion. If Colback is released and we want another senior player then a possible. |

We already are, Morgan, Sutton, Kolli even Lloyd was DS previous season(s). I do agree though more need to get a chance but maybe better loans initially for the Tuck and others. |

I haven't said that I disagree with the policy, I don't, all I was saying was that you need to keep one of two around to strengthen the development team, so that younger boys coming through have a better chance of stepping up successfully. I remember one recent season where we a senior out of contract centre back, who had played several seasons for other clubs but never for us, was given permission to train with us and then used in the reserves to give the others a bit of leadership. Can't remember who it was. As Hansen said ' you win nothing .....'đłđ As I said a happy medium. Disappointing for Murphy; I thought he might have been another Chair, but happy to trust the professional judgement. |
