Total dominance without really getting out of second gear and the luxury of giving key players a breather. Lots of impressive performances. None better than Ferguson's play acting.

Rodney is scaring them to death. Every time we move the ball quickly we are cutting them open. Let's push on in the second half and keep playing.

Ebanks-Landell being out is a big blow. Otherwise probably our best choice 'home' line up. Hosannah on the bench as the wing back cover after a long injury lay off, but no Gomez-Mancini.

Its cagey. We a playing against a good team and are lucky not to be behind
A good save by Smith saved Beckwith. We haven't really created anything. Looks like one goal could decide it.

To me they are different types of player. McBride is more of a goal threat and probably runs about a bit more but is less technically gifted than Barlow. I would agree that there is probably a bit more to come from him. He also seems to tire towards the end of games.

It is a shame that Gomez-Mancini has not been available more as he could potentially offer a similar skillset to Barlow.

Barlow and Berkoe for me. Berkoe is quicker and better defensively so more suited for the bigger games. Barlow is more creative than McBride who is more of a runner in that role.

More defensively sound wing backs and lots of attacking options on the bench with Hogan nowhere to be seen.

Good to see Rodney and Ebanks-Landell back.

We are missing through injury one first team player, one depth player and a player who has not played yet. Greater depth and big leads in some games has meant that the wide forwards and wing backs rarely play 90 minutes. Rodney is also usually substituted to keep him fresh. This should help to prevent fatigue injuries.

Not having a revolving door of players in goal is also helpfully. If key players can stay fit and hungry we should be challenging.

Are we not entertained? That first 20 minutes was exceptional. Let's push on in the second half.

I seem to remember an away trip to Rotherham and taking part in a penalty shoot out on the pitch. Kel might have more memories but I am not sure he posts on here anymore.

Defensively we seem more solid. If you don't conceded it is easier to pick up a win.

To get out of this league we will have to stack ugly wins at times. Would we have won that type of game last season?

Who would you have hin on the bench instead of? I suspect that those who have not been starting regularly will get a game on Tuesday.

It is a long season I am sure he will make some positive impacts along the way.

The difference is that Mani is a n experienced target man and offers something we have not had for a long while - someone who we can play the ball up to and it will stick. There were three or four wonderful examples yesterday when a challenging ball was played to him, he controlled it and laid it off and as a team we could get up the pitch.

Bird is a different type of striker and is inexperienced and perhaps uses his power and pace a bit more, but is possibly a bit less technically refined.

Watching Mani's goals yesterday both were high quality finishes. The cross was slightly behind him but he guided his header exquisitely into the corner. His second was placed beautifuly into the side of the goal with hardly any backlift. He is a real asset and would adapt to life in League Two.

He has had a good start to the season. He looks fit and mobile after his long term injury and a good preseason.

Aspinwall is a good prospect. Shame he was injured again earlier in the summer and then he was carrying the drinks during the Hundred. He needs to be playing and could become a very handy first change bowler who can bat at eight.

I think we lose Salt and Wood for the final on top of Buttler and Mahmood with Green also playing in the CPL. Hopefully the change in the schedule next year will result in England players being available for finals day.

Comfortable win. Second half was a bit disappointing and I felt we took our foot of the gas and let them come into it. I thought Gilmour was excellent.

Green is playing in the CPL but otherwise we have Salt, Livingstone and Wood available.

3 goals and to only conceed to a deflected effort is a great win, especially considering we lost here the past two seasons. Happy days!

The good old 70th minute Allarakhia sub. Suprised it is Moss who has come on rather than Tutonda who is naturally left sided.
