Next 6 games
at 12:48 3 Nov 2015

Our next 6 games are huge in my opinion especially against Hull, Sheff W and Brighton all these are on as good as a run as we are on.

Naturally the Forest match you can throw form out of the window and then we have QPR tonight and then Cardiff who are hit and miss at the moment

I would be happy with 10 points from the 18 on offer

Can we hold on to Chris Martin
at 12:41 3 Nov 2015

He wont be going anywhere unless we don't go up this season and also the only teams that would come in for him would be the teams trying to avoid relegation.

No point moving to a team if your going to end up back in the Championship next season.

I wouldn't blame him if we didn't go up this time and he wanted a shot at the premier league again but other than that if all goes to plan we will be in with the big boys next season and he will sign a new contract too.

Defensive duffers hit the buffers.
at 12:29 6 Mar 2015

The problem is when we had Eustace and recently Thorne we look a far better defensive unit, Mascarella simply isnt good enough he has given away far too many goals from poor back passes or losing possession cheaply in key arreas.

We all know being flamboyant in the championship doesn't win games, hard work does.

I hope when we get our key players back we aren't too far adrift should our recent form continue

Warncok wages
at 11:05 12 Jan 2015

I here we are looking at signing Warnock now I have connections at work with people involved with Leeds and it is believed he is one of the top earners at the club.

Estimated he is on £40,000 pw which in my opinion he is no way worth that amount or we should be offering anywhere near that amount.

i'm sure none of our players are near that amount at all, I may be wrong but the way the club has been run financially over the last 4 years find it hard to believe we would throw that amount of money at a 33 year old

Don't get me wrong I'm sure his experience could help us in our push for promotion but surely getting him on loan with a view to a perm deal should we go up would make more sense.

Defensive Midfield
at 11:21 22 Aug 2014

It does concern me when Hughes was given the roll, surely it isn't going to help his development nor the teams to be playing in a position which doesn't utilise his full potential.

Would Gerrard of been the player he is now if he was playing a defensive roll instead of an attacking midfielder, I doubt it.

Hughes gives us far more further up the pitch, so play him ware he can benefit the side more and also chip in with key goals.

It has only been 3 games but we do need to improve the squad and also start playing players in the positions they are comfortable in.

Mac and the players will produce the goods and maybe because of last season expectations levels are still too high and a little unrealistic.

If you compare Leicester's squad last season they were head and shoulders above any other team and rightly won the league.

I'm afraid this is something I cannot say about my beloved Rams

Luck with Injuries
at 15:50 24 Jul 2014

George Thorne could be out for upto 9 months, terrible news or is this going to be a season when we struggle due to our lack of depth in the squad.

I believe a team is successful if you can keep your team injury free which is why last season we were so successful, the majority of the time we had the same team week after week.

I hope this isn't a sign that this season may be different and unless we have more cover for key positions we may end up being a mid table team.

I don't know which players we are still hoping to acquire or for what position but fingers crossed we have other things in the pipeline

Bryson
at 09:45 1 Jul 2014

So now it has come to light that the £750,000 clause isn't allowing clubs to talk to him but actually the value he can be sold for.

In my opinion for that kind of money why not keep him for next season even if it means losing him for nothing at the end of the season, if having him in the side helps us gain promotion then it's well worth the risk.

He will then have his time in the premiership as every player wants, there is no way we would be able to bring someone in to fill such a huge gap it would leave for anything near £750,000 even with Thorne we still should be doing everything possible to keep him at the club.

Rams Squad 2014-15: the fun starts here!
at 12:43 25 Jun 2014

I don't think Thorne for Bryson is something the club should be thinking of Bryson is the best midfielder in the Championship and with Thorne we could have the best partnership in the league next season which hopefully will be key to gaining automatic promotion.

Burnley will probably only be in the prem for one season so at his age is it really a good move other than financially but not in a footballing sense.

I wouldn't be happy if he was sold especially to Burnley and feel it would be a backward step for the club and the player.

Sign Thorne and show the players the club are serious about what happens on the pitch and there aim on playing in the Premiership.

If we let Bryson go then I feel other players may follow suit.

Bryson to QPR?
at 12:59 12 Jun 2014

This is the time we find out how ambitious the club really are, like they say actions speak louder than words.

They claim we don't need to sell so if they really are intent on going for automatic promotion then they will not sell, offer improved new contracts to Hendrick and Bryson with no buy out clause for minimal fees.

Bring in quality players to strengthen the side and go from there.

Time will tell but I would be hugely disappointed should players be sold, the rewards of playing in the premiership far out way accepting offers of £1 million for a couple of players.

Time for board to deliver
at 09:20 30 May 2014

So with season ticket sales nearing the 20,000 mark and the steady progression on the field with limited resources next season the board has to show its intent on giving the manager the funds to enable the side to push for automatic promotion.

Saying we are happy to be in the play offs is not showing enough ambition, it isn't going to take much but key players have to be brought in as we were very lucky with injuries which probably wont happen for a 2nd season.

The fans are backing the players and the club now is the time for the board to do the same and show it's real intent on and vision as to wanting to compete in the best league in the world.

Centre Half Needed?
at 11:44 4 Feb 2014

Monday is a huge test against QPR lets see how we cope and if we have learnt anything from the last couple of games.

If the club have any ambition this season I'm sure they would bring in players to enable promotion to stay on track

Sheff Wed postponent make no sense
at 15:58 27 Jan 2014

So we are now playing the game on the 18th because they would rather play Charlton now on the 15th. How does that make business sense we would take 5,000 plus on a Sat now on a Tues poss 1,500 - 2,000, Charlton will prob be lucky to 500 on the Sat.

Just makes no sense what so ever

Get the Money Out?
at 11:43 13 Jan 2014

So we lose 2 league games on the bounce and all of a sudden we have strength in depth issues.

Can anyone honestly say that before the season started we would be in 4th position with the squad we had come the end of 2013, well I surely didn't and only with the appointment of the new manager and the signing of 3/4 players has this transpired.

It is obvious that the management has worked wonders so far and I'm hoping this continues either with or without the introduction of new personnel.

At the start of the season I didn't feel we would finish anywhere above 10th position and should we carry on competing for a play off spot until the end of the season then I would consider that to be a bonus.

I like every fan of the club would love them to invest £10 million pounds but that still wouldn't guarantee automatic promotion you only have to look at QPR to realise that.

I'm sure the management are fully aware as to what is needed and I don't feel they will stand around and miss an opportunity should a player become available that fits into the teams structure.

How can you blame Grant for any of our performances it's the defence that has been at fault.

Clough?
at 10:10 30 Sep 2013

Well at the beginning of the season I was very optimistic that this could really be our year, thought we had put together a decent squad and some quality.

However over recent weeks I feel something isn't right, have the players lost confidence in Clough I thought on Sat we were ok in the 1st half in the 2nd half I thought we were pathetic they could of had 1 at the back we wouldn't of troubled them.

Sometimes a change can be a breath of fresh air and I would rather it happen now when we can still challenge for promotion than in December when we are either fighting relegation or just consolidating for mid table.

I personally would go for Poyet he did wonders at Brighton and there potential is nowhere near what it is at Derby

Far too good of a player to be warming the bench

There is no way they will sell for that price especially as he has just signed a new contract.

Hopefully gone are the days re the Huddlestone transfer to Spurs I would also expect a large sell on clause to be included too.

The end is too predictable Brian.

We could of been 2 or 3 nil up at half time but for there keeper, however I don't understand why you would want to defend a slender lead with 25 mins of the game still remaining.

They couldn't handle us going forward thus stopping them from attacking us, once we changed formation they had more space and they could pick us off the longer the game went on.

It was only a matter of time and to be fair if they had beaten us we couldn't of complained, very negative tactics for a home side even if it was the 1st game of the season.

I'm not trying to be negative just feel we are still short of two quality players
