Im sure the minimum attendance is 20 members or 5% of membership, whichever is higher., as.per the EGM requirement. I think the Trust has to prove it is quorate, not rely on just saying so. It's about transparency. |

Thanks. I guess the proxies were allocated to the Trust board members, but I will still check the articles. 35 members pulled together an EGM in the face of an uncooperative board that itself failed to get the minimum number of members to attend an AGM. |

Were proxies in attendance? |

Indeed, one set of CAB minutes they issued contained incorrect information. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but members should all be treated equally. |

Just adds credence to the view of underhand machinations. |

I understand that an email was sent out 2nd October but there have been a number of members not receiving trust emails this year. |

Am I correct in thinking that the Trust AGM is to be held tomorrow morning? I cannot see anything on social media that I use, and given the desire of the organisation to be all-inclusive, am finding the behaviour somewhat at odds with what a member-led organisation that is trying to attract further members, should be doing. This, don't forget, from an organisation that was, for the first time ever, forced to hold an EGM by members using the correctly defined process for calling such a meeting, which was met with delay and obfuscation every step of the way, including emails being sent anonymously. The minutes of the EGM took 53 days to reach members, whereas CAB meetings are reported on in around 2 days of late. In response to one of two emails sent in by members complaining about a safeguarding issue, an internal series of responses was inadvertently shared with one of the concerned members, the email thread from Trust board members referring to members as "Toxic five" and a "mob". Think about it. Safeguarding concerns leaked amidst abuse of members following the procedure laid down by the Trust. I am aware that one of these complaints remains outstanding, awaiting a conclusion. Probably the same for the other. There has to be a reason for the silence, pretty much as the way the process of electing a Trust main board director was pushed upon members ( this decision had been taken before the end of last season from what I am hearing). The EGM was informed that several applications had been received , but when nominations were closed, only a serving Trust board member had actually applied (the aforementioned fait accompli). If you are a current Trust member reading this, ask yourself if such behaviour of a member-elected board in railroading decision making through without proper consultation and accountability is how you want the Golden Share to be managed. (I think the Community Trust should be the custodian in any case.) I do hope that the AGM will be quorate - 20 members or 5% of the membership as defined in the Trust Model Rules. |

I thought we bought the ground with the aid of a mortgage from RMBC, paid off early by the board that was formed after the wretch was removed by shareholders? |

Absolutely quality pouring out of every area of the club, epitomised by a thoroughly entertaining performance tonight. Their keeper made a number of great saves to keep the score respectable. Great use of the bench tonight, given the next 3 games to.come. [Post edited 23 Sep 22:59]

Correct about the pitch covers. The overlaps are held down intermittently with sandbags. It is difficult to know how level the covers were, as people and moppers had been used all morning, so there was some rippling of the covers but no exposure of the playing surface. The sodden appearance of the pitch in a couple of areas was a real surprise to all. It's baffling how it has happened Water that was emptied/brushed off the pitch all drained away.
