There once was a poster so grumpy
Cos all local roads are so bumpy
Get a grip there, mard arse
It could be far worse
We could all be lumbered with Trump, eh?

I suppose we had much more time to advertise the Spennymoor semi final.

A reminder of the thread title - for generations to come.

It's forward looking.

It's innovative.

We are at the very beginning of a new journey based on an established town/football club.

Bring back smog, pints of dark mild, Woodbine, rickets and diptheria.

And Cyril Smith, so he can molest me again.

Oh the good old days.

I remember Rochdale in March 2024 when the professional football club had run out of money.

Some fans had got off their backsides and contacted Sir Peter Ogden.

Survival, stability, sustainability is what was asked of the family.

Look at us now.

And do we still have Wilfrid and Arthur Lord?

There is the voice of the fans in the boardroom, isn't there?

He wanted and got rid of Hendo.

We had got rid of his stain before Hendo returned.

A key turning point has been the decision to start Hendo in games, which has brought the desired results. Allied with an upturn in Rodney's form and fitness and Beckwith getting back to his best.

The recent result versus Fylde probably was possibly reflective of the decision not to start Hendo.

And kudos to Simon for bringing back Hendo, for him to go on and and break the goal scoring record whilst simultaneously urinating on the Patisserie Valerie fries of a former director and employee. Boo hoo.

We had a very real existential crisis 13 months ago. I appreciate every game of football we have been able to play since those dark days. Not necessarily the performance, but look where we are.

I saw a photo from last night of Cameron, Jamie & Andy stood with Dale fans, all grinning. That summed us all up, I think.

Just so, so grateful that we landed on our feet with the marvellous Ogden family and their associates.

And I got this notification today:

It's like the loss of a close family member, so deeply embedded in our collective hearts was Joe. RIP. #15

I'd have loved to have been in one of those barbers shops, ear wigging.
