I mean with Armstrong there wasn’t much of an art to learn, he’s 22 now and still fails to grasp the most basic intricacies of football, such as the offside trap… After a couple of years of his Bristol contract, if he’s got someone handling his money smartly he’ll be setup for a very nice life after football so he should really look to drop down a couple of leagues where he can have success being an unrefined athlete, enjoy his football and see how far back up the the pyramid he can climb. It was painfully clear even before he left us that everybody knew how to deal with him - put a defender touch tight and one 5 yards off and he was completely nullified. |

It’s pretty clear he’s the best CB at the club, anyone that suggests otherwise had lost their mind. Obviously needs to be managed though at 34 and with plantar fasciitis - I’m sure the club would have loved the have JCS available and Mbengue not to be a headcase to be able to use him more sparingly so far. |

Great result and a perfect summary of what I’ve been whinging about for weeks now - Esquardinha *HAS* to start the majority of matches for the rest of the season. He’s raw, he’s going to give away some goals getting drawn into 50/50 interceptions but he’s learning rapidly and is one of the few we could feasibly sell on in 12-24 months for a healthy profit. |

To give some sort of insight into the level it goes, I’ve posted before I think that a relative works for City as a sports scientist and as some examples, every player has a specially designated meal plan pre and post sessions, ice bath lengths are specialised for each player and the temperature of the post ice bath warm water dip is also designated per player by the sports science team. There are countless more examples but it’s insane the level of detail they get into at the top top level. |

They will spend big regardless of where we are, but if we were in contention they’d go stratospheric. Promotion is the only chance Ruben has to get out at his number and the guy would really love to get out.. |

I would agree if you didn’t list two players who don’t have any long term future at the club as examples 😐 |

He’s a perfectly serviceable LB at this level and on the face of it a decent signing as we needed depth there. My only issue with him is that we’ve spent two years being condescended about the #project. We will buy low, develop and sell high and have to lose some game in the pursuit of that. Now in most cases our young players are frankly crap - Sutton can’t get off the bench for Morecambe bottom of the conference ffs. But we have a decent young LB who we could actually be developing and yet he’s riding the bench learning nothing. And of course there are some good wingers at this level where we will need RND’s experience, Esquardinha vs Fatawu or Thomas would require defibrillators on standby in the crowd , but Oxford are crap. We are too but they another matter. Last night Eswuardinha should’ve been playing the 90 and learning something, rather than Sheff Utds player. Or it could be the #project is all bullsht to justify the existence of catastrophically under qualified and under delivering CEO….but again that another topic. |

Some people dream about world peace for humanity, or ending world hunger - noble causes for sure. For me though, the enduring mystery of the world is how Michael Frey can be so catastrophically immobile at only 31?!? I’d lay my mortgage on our 9 month old daughter beating him over 10 yards ffs.. |

I dunno lads, I’m starting to think Williams might not be any good…. Lucky we didn’t unofficially make him deputy-CEO |

Eh? Nico H spent a season on loan at Kilmarnock…..anyone who has ever been to Kilmarnock knows it’s not somewhere you go with a weak stomach. |

Fabulous hair transplant. That is all. |

This. A not very good LB who hasn’t played much and it showed. Should be warming the bench most of the season and being used as a pitch hitter for the 3 game weeks in winter so we don’t burn Esquardinha out but nothing more. |

The whole point of accepting CN lying to fans, condescending fans and being crap on the pitch as well was that we were going to develop our own players and sell them for so much money that we wouldn’t care about trifling stuff like winning games. Now at the first opportunity we are not playing the 18 yo we can develop and sell, we are playing someone else’s crap LB… It’s indefensible, even for you. |

The standard is dogshit unfortunately and Ibrahim is a bit of a weird link as he’s bounced around Sweden and Norway never really doing much bar a 6 month decent streak now, but there must be something in the data the guys love |
