Red Bull Salzburg player Bobby Clark was merely a telephone inquiry from Andrew Coleman in January. Interest wasn’t even registered and to date there isn’t any now. The reports on interest now are incorrect to date. We know how Coleman dealt with the January window, going to leave that there. He was calling the club right at the last minute even though they made it clear they weren’t fielding any talks for three days. Again social media accounts plucking stuff out of the air. He is one year into a five year contract with a 17.5 % sell on fee. The only move the Swans would make I’m told is by way of a loan as his salary isn’t huge. Then a hefty loan fee. If he is sold RBS will want to recover a lot of his fee which is 10M but not fully paid to Liverpool. In the event of a sale RBS will have to cover that. They have an ever improving turnover year by year but selling Clark needs to be something that doesn’t destabilise their investors. They haven’t been floated on any stock exchange. Clark leaving the club permanently has to be managed in such a way as it doesn’t look like very poor business. He has played only sixteen games this season with one goal and two assists. Much of it put down to managers being sacked. Just to say numerous family members do like talking about Bobby, but they are allegedly very good people. Clark is only 20. If the Swans do come in for him it can only be a loan.

We’ve another one in November, although the Nations League is in place of friendlies, I was speaking to a few Welsh journalists this afternoon and they believe the last two have been very uplifting for Welsh football. My dad is Welsh, and he is very much a club man, me I’ve no interest in England personally, and find it embarrassing the way the media deals with them. What’s your view on international breaks ? I’m still waiting for an away trip on the Indy 😂 |
 | Forum Thread | Games the Swans could have pricing agreements with next season at 11:07 20 Jul 2024
A bit of a nonsense last season with Leeds due to their ridiculous high ticket prices. I’m hoping for the fans sake they get some knock backs, the club has loads of fans who travel religiously. I remember we reported on over a thousand miles travelled by Swansea fans in one seven day period towards the end of last season. |

I have to speak out against this horrible app. Yesterday we had a few real clowns failing to understand or knowingly trying to disrupt the Swansea Independent timeline. One who Keith quickly despatched and another who has egotistically been a source of disruption. The latter caused my mentor at uni untold hassle when his wife died. They formed a part of several others who were involved in him being called a pedophile, child abuser and this when he was grieving. He has actually put that on twitter today. A poisonous little entity they are. I realise that websites such as this will at times get no marks causing trouble. But yesterday has to be the final straw. This is why my social media is protected and I don’t do twitter. As Keith says, what comes around goes around, and on this basket case I hope it comes around very quickly

Initially given a contract on Steve Cooper’s insistence then followed up by Martin. He’s contracted until 2026. I’m doing a piece on him shortly. Would welcome your views. |
