With Manning apparently going to Norwich and Muslic seemingly out of the picture I can sadly see our Marti (and Zavi i guess) pitching up at Ashton Gate. Could be a worse gig for him I guess. [Post edited 28 May 20:44]

Just superb from first to last. The last three paras on Morgan Fox belong in a Museum. How can writing like this be so utterly hilarious, utterly perceptive and utterly true all at once? Thank you very much. |

An immediate 52 point deduction - along with Southampton and Ipswich to really ram home the important technical points, whatever they may be. Then I'll start to believe in our 25/26 survival. |

Yep, I agree - that is in many ways my point. I personally think next season is going to be tough again - really tough. But the club has, imho, backed itself into a corner by (apparently) making the big bold call to get rid of a Head Coach who was arguably doing a very good job and was, accordingly, very popular with the large majority of the fanbase (and the dressing room?). Now, whatever Nourry does has to work well, and be seen to work well, early on. And that is all extra pressure on everyone that you can argue has been self-inflicted. |

This. My message to Mr Nourry is quite simple: Go On Then. Effortlessly deliver Queens Park Rangers victories right from the get-go in 25/26. To confirm, that means 8 Aug not Nov/Dec. We win 7 of the first 10 games from Aug-Oct (or 10 /11 out of the first 15) and I'll be the first to say 'Very Well Done, CEO/DOF- Marti Who?' But none of this, 'its a new Head Coach - will take time to bed in - short-term pain for long-term gain - change takes time, there'll be ups and downs' garbage if (by chance) we only win 1 or 2 of our first 10 games. All of that goes out the window with the 'bold' call on Marti imho. Win (straight away) or bust for our CEO/DOF now whoever we appoint, assuming it was his call. |

It gets worse and worse for them. The power of Parachute Payments brutally displayed when push comes to shove. |

I wondered this. I think Garrido(?) is the clear bookies favourite. |

Superb Clive - thanks very much for everything again. I don't know how you would cope with scribing and relaying a very successful season to us all - you'd need a new lexicon. Not a problem you will have in 25/26 imho... Thank you. |

This, already, is my view. I'm straight away thinking Preston, Hull and Stockport for next season. |

0-0. Arid. Desolate. Nothing left to say. After Clive's excellent preview, just anger and dejection in equal measure. Well Done to the Noble Thousand. They deserve so, so much more. |

I agree - but I still ask the fair question, what is Lee Hoos's direct involvement in all of this, as a Championship-experienced (Burnley/QPR) adult in the room? To clarify, he is the Chairman of QPR, Our Present Chairman, unless I'm mistaken. Delegation is one thing, but there are times...I would venture this is one. [Post edited 30 Apr 11:03]

I'm not surprised by this at all. With all the chaos going on, any Championship club with promotion opportunities next season is going to want an incoming coach with a clean slate and top-eight Championship know-how, no? I love what Marti has done here but would his on-paper record (and the current shenanigans) appeal to these clubs? Still I retain the tiniest of hopes that he might stay with us. Somehow.
