Wasn't able to make it today unfortunately, but I remember watching him closely against Charlton and being so impressed with his all-round game, pretty sure that apart from one misplaced pass, he didn't put a foot wrong that day. |

Lovely stuff, maybe we are on the right track behind the scenes |

Another one who really enjoyed Kone's performance. Apart from one misplaced through ball for ND when he was overlapping, I honestly didn't think he put a foot wrong all game. A great home debut, capped off with a lovely finish (agree with others as well, that Burrell did a brilliant job flicking it on under a lot of pressure from the Charlton centre back). |

Evening all, Have a Charlton mate and will be meeting up with him, as well as some of his Charlton mates, after the game for a drink (unless Kelman scores the winner, in which case I'll sulk home!), but will also have my 13 year old daughter with me. Can anyone recommend a good place to try? So far have only thought of the Richmond, back on Shepherds Bush Road |

How low is the bar that I'd happily take that right now? Just desperate for the team to pull itself together and avoid a defeat to be honest - sounds like Charlton are no mugs. |

Really sorry to hear this - rest up and hope you are feeling better soon, Andy! |

Fair enough. Totally get that there is a diverse range of opinions on this message board alone. For me, sending a message to the club was about letting them know that I am very concerned about how a lot of things are being handled on many front - I'm not suggesting 'sack the manager', 'sell the club', not even 'sack Nourry' (happy to admit I'm currently in the Nourry out camp, but I haven't mentioned him by name in my email, not even his role). Agree that we all want the club to be self-sufficient! However, I am concerned that on the current trajectory, we will be relegated before that happens. I tend to be very patient - the only managers i have actively wanted to go have been Paul Hart, Mark Hughes and (reluctantly but knowing it was for the best) Gareth Ainsworth. Appreciate I have probably seen fewer ups and downs than you have, as a slightly younger supporter - and if you are happy to hold fire, fair enough. I have just had enough of the team looking undercooked (unfit and not assembled right), the fact that some decisions look so odd, and don't seem to do us any favours (e.g. let the Head of Performance work remotely from Dubai and start working for another employer, drop Nardi for Walsh without Walsh having gained enough experience, let Paal go (always available and now we have no senior left back) but renew Frey's contract (always injured)). These are just examples, and appreciate you might have a different view on those individual cases - but the club's decision-making and its (lack of) communication on things like injuries and fitness, when it is clearly a major issue and stopping us from competing, are doing my head in. Add in that we had no manager for however many weeks it was after putting the previous manager on garden leave, then got one with no championship experience and an undercooked squad, and look where we are. Maybe we'll get better quickly, starting against Charlton, but I am not looking forward to finding out, quite frankly. You're right that it's 2 defeats and 1 draw - but there is also the cup surrender to Plymouth thrown in, which felt like a PR exercise, and it comes off the back of a pre-season where I thought the writing was already on the wall. And I certainly won't be invading the pitch any time soon, or encouraging others to do that! |

Great call, DMM. Have done number 1 and feel a bit better for getting it off my chest. Sure they'll take no notice, but hey. Am happy to be involved in the coordinated action and a partial boycott of the game on Saturday if some kind of movement can build on this. |

That is a very interesting theory and a possibility, I guess - I'm still recovering from the shock of today, I don't actually know i=if I'd be happy or not if your thoery turns out right. I mean, fitness/physical prep is a mess, no doubt. So Ben Williams to blame. Nourry making decisions on everything, so he's to blame. Manager seemingly clueless about how to get us going in championship games, and a million miles from knowing what is best team is - only partly his fault as I know reinforcements should be on the way. And then players downing tools would make them to blame, too. It is just a complete mess and sometimes I do think burning it all down and starting again would be for the best. Pride just seems to keep slipping away. |

Yep, great prereview thanks Clive - and great post, Joe. Unfortuanately, this 'project' blx looks like it's here to stay as it's what every new signing seems to say when they join any new club nowadays! In our context, were just going to have to be a bit more patient to see whether this 'project' leads us anywhere positive, but understatement alert, the jury is definitely out at the moment. And nail, head with Madsen - you can't afford passengers in any team in any league, but definitely not a physical lightweight who doesn't run much in the centre of your midfield! |

Totally agree about the lack of player availability/fitness levels being a bigger concern currently than the manager's ability. Don't want to totally change the topic but out of interest, does anyone know when (if ever) JCS is supposed to be back to match fitness? Increasingly feels like a bit waste of wage budget. I last saw him at a charity football tournament in Tolworth, watching some mates I assume (didn't talk to him as he didn't look in the mood for a chat) - but I honestly can't remember the last time I saw him play now. Preseason friendly etc etc but no leadership whatsoever either - the only one I can hear/see encouraging others is Smyth (!) Guess that should pick up in second half with Dunne, Cook and Chair to come on |

Erm never played in goal but should Walsh also have been more alert for that second goal? |
