Almost a shame the season is coming to a close as far as Madsen is concerned .
I think you can see the confidence growing in him . A couple of sublime flicks and touches but at the right times . Made a few mistakes but so does everybody .
Credit where it’s due , he’s stepping up and looking a decent player . About time but encouraging nonetheless |

Yeah probably never know .
I know he was willing to leave in January .
Just a shame it will be for free now, although it didn’t sound like Sheffield Utd were offering much anyway |

Last point is a fair comment and yes credit where it’s due although if I was more cynical I would say “thank god we tied JCS down this season” , but I wouldn’t say that 😄.
You say ‘other than Jimmy who should we be rushing to sign’ , re iterating my point that to let it get to this stage with JD is poor from the club .
If he has sat on an offer for a while then we could maybe have got him to sign a year extension as Armstrong did . Maybe we offered and he refused but I just don’t think he’d do that . We saw today that he loves this club and loves playing for this club . |

What a brilliant goal to win a dominant second half, the match and confirm survival!
Frustrated at half time to concede and not play too bad. Yang with 2 or 3 good opportunities and playing ok. Not great but creating chances .
I really hope we see Saito again . Looks like a collar bone or shoulder .
But I actually thought Kolli changed the game . Hear me out 🤣
Still going for glory from stupid distances which is frustrating but his hold up play and bringing others into the game was so much better than we’ve seen for a while . But it kept us the ball and enabled us to play . All round impressive display apart from their goal .Edward’s loses his man and is punished , but that aside he was great again .
At the time I thought taking Ashby and Madsen off was an error as I thought they were contributing well but what do I know. Great finish from Frey and they have gone with the goal of the season comp to early . I shouted “hit it “ when Andersen took a couple of strides forward as it opened up and boy did he !! What a strike !!!

Yes, good post .
I can’t see him staying . If there is more money elsewhere and a ‘brighter’ challenge then why wouldn’t he? I genuinely think he loves it here but so did any number of players who left anyway.
That’s what footballers do .
The bigger concern for me, as others have said many times is how it got to this in the first place?
We continue to do this as a club, same mistakes time after time after time , no matter who is DOF/ CEO etc etc |

Completely agree about Ale Faurlin .
So sad that a player as good and as committed as Faurlin was here in a period where we completely lost our soul as a football club |

Yes agreed .
But ‘good ball player , control distribution & pace’ don’t make up all the necessities of any footballer.
These are not his strong points that’s agreed.
But his desire , strength, aerial attributes, reading of the game ,fitness, defensive nous, have improved as well his ability to beat a player with a bit of skill, score a goal, overlap and get forward .
By your set of rules Alan McDonald was useless.
Macca wasn’t a great footballer but he had so many other strings to his bow .
The contract is being held up by the length being agreed . That’s common knowledge. But if the can sort that then I’d take Jimmy for 3 seasons no problem.
If we don’t , then you’ll quickly see how much we miss him in our own penalty box at set pieces . [Post edited 18 Apr 9:33]

It was only a loan but Taraabt playing for Fulham made me sick in my mouth .
That early 90’s team breaking up had a few including Darren Peacock for me . Bloody loved big Darren . No nonsense smash you into the stands. Him and Macca were immense for me . Steve Yates didn’t replace him |

Voted for Saito’s at Hull .
But close call for me between that and Smyth, Chair, Varane and Celar.

Agree with this .
Just enjoying watching a very good player play in our hoops.
Not a chance he’ll be with us next season so might as well whilst it lasts .
He’s a serious contender for player of the year now despite only being here since early January .
He isn’t our player which might go against him understandably, but he has been quality. [Post edited 14 Apr 19:01]

That’s how I saw it too. Was in G block in South Africa Road and the offsides the Ellerslie Rd were going ape about in the first half looked tight but on side to me. Wasn’t sure it was a pen either.
Ref let Nardi waste as much time as he wanted at the end included feigning injury again which a personal gripe. It’s clearly obvious he isn’t injured. He hasn’t touched the ball for about 15 minutes.
I know why we do it any I’m a complete hypocrite as I was on here a couple of weeks ago saying we were the most naive and ‘nice’ squad ever.
I just dont like it . |

Ah don’t be. Anyone with an ounce of sense knows you weren’t being sick, pathetic , disrespectful or anything else.
Just a light hearted exaggeration of our treatment room that wasn’t meant to offend unless they ‘want’ to be offended so they can have a bleat.
Probably the most over the top reaction I’ve seen on here.
