I used to hear this song used on MTV used by Blaupunkt who sponsored the 120 Minutes show .
Wondered who it was as it’s a hell of a riff and then bought Trouble ‘Trouble’ and there it was .

Ah man . One of my favourites .
Would strongly recommend self titled and the incredible Manic Frustration albums .
The first 2 albums from the early 80’s Psalm 9 and The Skull are absolute doom metal classics.
So much so that Metallica , who were huge fans, copied their settings and set ups to get the sound on Ride the Lighting that they did .
Complete rip off but it worked.
apologies if you knew that already .

What a band . Eric only passed away a couple of years ago too.
Underrated doesn’t cover it .

All fair enough .
Also agree that it’s getting tiring .

Will take heed and as I said , Matt made me think about my own negativity going forward .

But one last thing .
Just because some claims and notions are unsubstantiated and unproven …doesn’t always mean they are untrue or unfounded.

Time for myself to take a break from the Nourry discussion I think .

Exactly spot on Brian

The narrative that some influential fans were to blame for the anger at Watford is not only nonsense , but actually encourages more hatred to people like Clive from the morons on social media .

“On no but I don’t mean you Clive , I’ve never heard you say that Nourry was picking the team”, approximately 15 minutes after Clive had literally justified Dave Mc’s question with 3 or 4 different reasons as to why people think CN has an ‘influence’ , shall we say .

Bit strange

Nit picking slightly .
There is a group of posters on here (it doesn’t matter who they are) that generally back most things he does and put forward arguments against criticism of him in the main .
That isn’t my opinion , that is a fact and they have every right to do so.
How would you prefer I refer to them as a collective?

“I just think there have been enough positive changes in areas I personally think we were weak: the DS and negotiating deals both commercially and related to playing staff to not write him off.”

Again, the people critical of CN have all acknowledged what your above quote also states .
There areas where improvements have been made for sure .
The leap of faith is the playing side . To me , the important bit which some seem to just sketch over like it’s secondary . It’s the primary reason we are all fans , but we have just given CN and others that responsibility .
He , nor BW have any sort of knowledge and experience yet they are moulding the way we play , now and into the future .
It’s the ultimate ‘leap of faith’.

That’s the concern .
I’m not having a pop. I agree with much of what you say.
I’m trying to explain my concerns and why I struggle to just climb on board , like Matt has , when you add the cloak and dagger / arrogance towards us as fans at times.

Wasn’t just stadium wide .

All PDQ payments went down at Millwall on Saturday too and at the Old Firm
On Sunday among other events at the weekend .

The link being MyGuava I think .

Some things the club can’t control snd unfortunately this was one of them

Great post .

I find that Matt, with other Nourry supporters has a touch of blind faith and is annoyed that we all can’t or won’t join him in it.
Don’t get me wrong, the balanced argument was a good idea and it worked because all parties were respectful of each other. Matt did make me consider my own pessimism at times and I think that’s something I could keep in check a bit more .
But with so many issues at QPR, it’s about that word ‘experience’.
Nigh on 50 years of supporting this club will render some trepidation and pessimism but it happens time and time again. It breeds pessimism.
The word experience came up regarding Nourry again and I didn’t really get what Matt’s point was comparing him to Les and having ‘more experience’ .
Tom rightly pointed out that he shouldn’t be anywhere near putting into place a ‘methodology’ and playing style for this or any football club but the conversation was turned away from that to what a good job he’s doing financially and with player sales .
That wasn’t the point being made . Player sales have been pretty decent and it would be ridiculous of me to ignore the money we have got for certain players and how well we have done it seems in negotiating these fees.
But as it’s been pointed out, the way we play is already becoming out of date and we are still signing players for what will be an outdated style .
To take up Clive's point about the physicality and size of Brentford in pre season, it showed hugely in the DS cup final where Brentford’s DS team stood like pine trees compared to our squad. Now yes , we won that game of course but really due to experience of 3 of 4 of our players already being presented to senior football . My point being Brentford are once again years ahead of us . They are signing huge kids with a physical presence who can play ,opposed to us signing talented kids who will be put in a process of play that no one will be playing . So how will we sell them ?
If we can see this basic principle then why can’t the people putting it into place at Rangers ? Dare I say it , because we all have more experience in just being in and around ‘football’ than the people putting it into place at Rangers .

Loads to pick out but I did really like what Matt said about ‘moments’. Especially experienced with your kids and family . That is a huge part of this football club as he mentioned and that most of us have this club running through our families somehow . I love that and it does feel special that way .
But….those moments are generally us at the top end , winning , competing having what we would call success. What is success!
A Jimmy Dunne volley every season that keeps us up ?
Or being consistent and challenging at the top end of this league and getting to play off finals and ultimately getting promotion. Then staying there .

I think the people in charge seem ( they don’t tell us as Tom says , so we don’t know) to be ok with the former as long as we make a profit on players yet seem to fail to understand that they’d make more profit with the team in the top half .

As mentioned , none of us started supporting QPR because of ‘finances’ .
It’s important as fans to continue to make sure the people in charge realise that too .
And in reality, that’s all that the ‘dissenting’ voices against Nourry are trying to say .
There is no vendetta or whatever you want to call it .
It’s concerned fans who care, asking questions . That’s it .
We all want him to succeed because of he does then QPR succeed.
But when you are as untransparent as Nourry at times , then I’m not sure what you expect .

Good post .

And it’s the fact that know one really knows for sure if he is deeply troubled or a timeless waster that makes me slightly uneasy reading this thread .

I’ll be in a minority of one and I understand the reasons why . I agree with a lot of them …but not really knowing the full story , and only he and the clubs medical staff and bosses will really know , makes me weary of going in two footed.

The tying the laces incident during the game at Rotherham , on the face of it was unacceptable and scandalous .
But take a step back and the red flags are there .
You wouldn’t do that over the park never mind the championship.

Something is clearly wrong .

I’m glad it’s over and he’s not at the club anymore for obvious reasons but I hope he can get himself sorted on a personal level and even if it’s not football, he can do something that makes him content and happy .

Otherwise , I do fear the worst .

Not sure why we’re now comparing 2 completely different players?

To keep it very short , Adel did his talking with a football . The most gifted player I’ve seen in the hoops.
Ray was a brilliant player , captain , human . Ambassador , leader, influence , mentor ,

Ray was class of the pitch as well as on
