 | Forum Thread | New Game Model in Existence at 11:21 14 Sep 2025
Who would have thought it ??? Not only do we now seem to have two very decent strikers, but we are also playing them together in the same starting line up. Appreciate we have not had any strikers that have shown this type of potential, since Austin, first time around, but Burrell has shown to have extreme pace and be a strong presence and Kone is a class player and wow - can this boy finish off an opportunity. I think its great for us to have options up top. I hope both have injury free seasons. If they do, can see us being a very free scoring team. We still do have the players to play different systems. Three attacking players behind the striker and think we will still do this, as a change of approach during games, and also from the start, and clearly, we can have the options of three in midfield too, as demonstrated when Field and Hayden came on to help shore up the defence. And even shock horror, sometimes the goalkeeper or any member of the back four, pump the ball up field.... What kind of sorcerery is this ??? [Post edited 14 Sep 11:24]

 | Forum Thread | Has Kone's goal already bagged Goal of the Season. at 09:16 14 Sep 2025
Good distribution by Nardi. Progressive pass upfield by Dunne. Superb backwards flick by Vale into space ahead of Madsen. Great pass forward from Madsen with the correct amount of pace. Kone takes a couple of touches to make room for the shot. From the edge of the area, an absolute thunder blaster in off the cross bar. Also, to put us two nil up on the stroke of half time. A critical goal in the game, at a critical time in the match. Can we have one of these types of goals every week please Rangers... What a goal !!!! https://streamin.one/v/931d8050 [Post edited 14 Sep 9:33]

Great decision made by Chelsea to offload Noni Madueke to Arsenal. On a par, perhaps with offloading De Bruyne to Man City. Appreciate saying the C word on here is unacceptable, but just wanted to point out their amazing know how and forward thinking still exists today. Beautiful to see !!!!! |

 | Forum Thread | Can you still loan in players outside of the summer transfer window ?? at 13:57 2 Sep 2025
Unsure, so googled but if anyone ITK on this, can you confirm we cannot or can still loan in players.... The following information seemed to suggest we could do so. 1) You can still loan in players in the first half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in November 2) And in the second half of the season, until 5.00pm on the fourth Thursday in March. 3) An existing loan deal can be made permanent at any time outside the transfer window. 4) Also, we can sign free agents at any time of the season. As long as there is space in first team squad of 25, currently we could perhaps have two or three places still available. Players 21 or under can be listed in first team squad or the main squad. We can have a maximum of five loans in, at any given time. I think currently we only have one, Nourington - Davies. If anyone ITK on this, as if the exact wording that i have seen, surely that would still mean, up to the end of November, we could loan in, for example, Ronnie Edwards and then could still make it permanent at any given time also. If this is all true, apologies immediately to all those transfer window haters, as there would then be no escape from the merry go round ever !!!!! [Post edited 2 Sep 14:03]

 | Forum Thread | Rating for this Summers Transfer Window at 21:26 31 Aug 2025
A lot of new faces in, both for the senior squad QPR confirmed transfers in: Summer 2025 Karamoko Dembele (£2.5m from Brest) Amadou Mbengue (free) Kealey Adamson (undisclosed from Macarthur FC) Kwame Poku (undisclosed from Peterborough) £900k Rumarn Burrell (undisclosed from Burton Albion) £1.2m Richard Kone (undisclosed from Wycombe Wanderers)£2.8m Isaac Hayden (free from Newcastle United) Rhys Norrington-Davies (loan from Sheffield United) Koki Saito (undisclosed from Lommel) £2.8m Would add Harvey Vale here also, ie was injured until now. Around £10.2m QPR confirmed transfers out: Summer 2025 Kenneth Paal (free) Murphy Cooper (loan to Barnsley) Nathan Shepperd (free to The New Saints) Lucas Andersen (free) Hevertton Santos (loan to Gil Vicente) Morgan Fox (free) Jack Colback (free) Charlie Kelman (£3.5m to Charlton Athletic) Alfie Lloyd (loan to Leyton Orient) Zan Celar (loan to Fortuna Dusseldorf) Money in for Eze around £6m Around £9.5m So maybe currently about even money thanks to Monsieur Eze.... Anymore ins and outs expected - loans or purchases or sales... I can't see anymore. Unless a massive coup with Edwards. Would like Daniel Bennie, Pearman and Emerson Sutton to get half season loans But on paper seems a very good window and without losing anyone of note as yet. [Post edited 31 Aug 22:17]

 | Forum Thread | Treating Cup Competitions Seriously at 19:53 27 Aug 2025
I just seen Grimsby playing at home to Man Utd and the whole first team squad for Man Utd is playing or on the bench. Everton are at home to Mansfield tonight. Players such as Jack Grealish in Evertons team. Obviously, they coild both field a second team squad that could win these matches.but they dont. As a club, we really should take the cup games seriously. Its not as if we have been chasing any type of glory in the league. The Cup games are our chance for a bit of fun and the fact that we throw these every.single season for actually no evident genuine reason at all, has been a disgrace over many many years.. Protecting players is clearly absolute tosh. They get injured in training or warm ups anyhow. I hope when the FA Cup is on, we should play a first team squad. Manchester United are doing this tonight against Grimsby away. Its an insult and the club need to do better with this. I hope this point is raised at the next fans forum as a weakened squad in the FA cup is only going one way. Do i expect the club to take this on board - no i dont - not at all. But they really really should I dont think its a way to get fans onside at all. |
 | Forum Thread | Closing Time of Transfer Window changed !!! at 15:36 27 Aug 2025
Changed from 11pm to 7pm this Monday coming. And two hours afterwards for all the paperwork to be completed Sky must be losing their touch, either that or the "wonderful" 'Arry or the all time great "Jim" are no longer on shift. At least, no need to waste an entire evening, waiting for zero news !! |
 | Forum Thread | Nardi or Walsh for Charlton Game at 20:37 26 Aug 2025
The club have managed this situation very poorly for all concerned. Paul Nardi last season was a contender at times for player of the season. His form tailed off later on, but still was a competent performer and a massive upgrade on Begovic from the previous season. It was known by many that from a very early stage of pre season that Walsh was going to be chosen as the number one goalkeeper. He had a very unfortunate nerve ridden game when we lost six nil against Castellon. Conceding four goals in the 45 minutes he played. This was probably the time to reconsider the chances of starting Joe ahead of Paul but this was a part of the project. For me, this has been bad all round and for all concerned. After a half decent season, Paul Nardi was dropped for no other reason than he is 31 and Walsh is 23. Walsh has still appeared very nervy and certain elements of his game struggle with the distribution side of the game, that we seem to have adhered to vehmently. Its looking like his confidence is clearly low and any man conceding seven in a game is going to be shell shocked, let alone a young player in his first ever long run in the side of any sorts. And Nardi, he must feel, he wants to leave the club and i would not blame him for that at all. He is at an age where he wants to play all the time and totally would get how put out, he must feel about being demoted. However, saying all this, and it will damage both players but i do feel we have to play Paul Nardi in the next game. It could damage Joe Walsh's confidence and the club need to manage this very carefully but i feel Nardi know has to play. What do others think regards this problem that has been very much of our own making.. [Post edited 26 Aug 20:38]

 | Forum Thread | An alternative look on the Coventry game at 17:10 25 Aug 2025
I actually backed Coventry in pre season to win the Championship this season and got odds of 14 to 1, Ladbrokes got them as low as 13 to 2 now so halved the odds already. I did think they were doing ever so well under Frank Lampard back end of last season and very unfortunate to not get promotion. Got a feeling Lampard will be managing a lot higher up the food chain very soon also. Think he is destined to be a top level premiership manager of the future. Anyhow, sod this waffle - just making a point that i do expect Coventry to be in the top two most of the season and tbf everything they hit went in. On another day thats a 3 - 1 loss. Three signings today, Celar moved on for the season and a positive result against Charlton and it will be Sir Christian Nourry !!+!! Anyhow, load of old tosh and its all tosh !!!! Sorry FDC, your first matchday thread in 20 years went exceedingly well. I am all for you to have a chance for redemption against Charlton. But if Mr Nourry wants to take over, then here is also your chance Christian. Its only a matter of time before this happens, surely, and Clive perhaps, he somehow will take over the administration and management of this site from your good self - oh my days !!! From what i have seen, is your pseudo name - Beans - Christian..... [Post edited 25 Aug 8:01]

 | Forum Thread | The rows in South Africa Road with the letters painted in the Wrong Order at 11:15 24 Aug 2025
Two of the back three rows in South Africa Road stand have been labelled incorrectly for years. It is painted T , then Y then blank, then X. It should be T, V, W, X. I sent the club and email and said the Y needs to be a V and the blank needs to be a W. It would not take much at all to sort this out, but it's irritating, seeing all people that come once every so often, looking extremely confused and regulars having to help many people each game with their confusion. I was told, thank you for taking the time to raise this issue and that they would be passing this issue onto the relevant person and department concerned. There has been no further contact. Ie it's not my job, it's probably Bob's or Jim's, or perhaps it's in Christian's inbox to approve, because am certain such important matters are something that he needs to approve or take no further action. Even, I dont believe, he approves that, but thought would post this, because it says a lot about the whole dynamics of the football club in every department. It's a simple thing and tbh it's incredibly amateur to have rows labelled incorrectly and to occasional visitors sends out an image of a club that's a little bit Sunday league.Just did it to help them out, but my request has been lost in email limbo land and I don't expect to ever be dealt with. It's a very minor issue but can't help thinking as with too many cooks in coaching, methodology, individual training, defence training, set piece training, performance Director, assistant head coach to the assistant youth team methodology manager, my email request needs approval for this action to be acted upon by Bill or Bob. I think on Saturday, I will take a paint pot and paint brush in with me.......... It's a ten minute job !!!!! But apparently not. It's with the relevant department awaiting further action....
