We can loan up to five players at any given time, is my understanding.
Am assuming if we do loan a few in, it is likely to be near the end of the window.
Ie ideally we will be looking for cheap or free younger players with promise and the loans are if we are unable to purchase players in required positions so last minute loans.com....
Think it's a chance this time to loan in a bit of experience if necessary.
Last season Saito and Edwards were excellent uses of the loan system. Ashby less so amd I think Yang came in so we could flog a lot of merchandise at extortionate prices.....
Think Dembele was initially a loan also...
Wonder how we will use the loan system, this transfer window.
Might be able to bring in an experienced centre forward......
Seems to have missed the entire pre season jaunt to sunnier climes !!
Was meant to be joining up in France after recuperating from an injury setback. Didn't play in the Toulouse game. Otherwise concerned he is in talks elsewhere.
He improved last season and for me, he potentially has the highest ceiling in terms of playing to a much higher standard on a regular basis. For me, we absolutely need this player available for ourselves all season. I think he could go for significant money at the end offhis season, but could be a crucial element in our 'so called' engine room, this season ahead.
Hoping this non appearance on tour is indeed actually just because of injuries.
First a Scottish Aussie striker who doesn't like scoring
Mr Bennie who is what you might call very raw.
And we have drafted in another couple this season too in Adamson and Pearman.
They all seem like longshots, but clearly there must be something that triggering the interest as the A League is quite lightweight generally and lacking in intensity ie a low number of matches per season.
But you know its an incredibly poor game when the referee falls to the ground with blatant sh*thousery, time wasting, after being struck bang into the crown jewels from point blank range with a fantastic volley out of defence from Mr Dunne !!!
That was a decent passage of play for me. Well crafted and clearly a training ground move.
Holloway was renowned for going on winning streaks of form as regularly as losing streaks. Warburton, likewise, and last season Marti demonstrated this skill too.
Hopefully Stephan is finding out all the reasons that dont work, so we need change where its required.
His own managerial career suggests another manager where hot and cold streaks predominately equally.
But the MB has gone from we are really learning, to when will we ever learn.
Never ever are QPR more vulnerable immediately after success !!
I think i saw a post of a championship podcast describing QPR as a well run club. Not usually words seen in the same sentence together.
Strange business of long term gardening leave, which went on for a long time and frustrated many fans including myself and at the time seemed a messy business and harsh. This £500k compensation to be paid now makes the muckiness have a purpose and you can only say how it has worked out, that it seems to have worked out in the best way for all concerned, Cifuentes, Nourry and QPR as a whole. i did say I didnt like the way it was done and couldn't be the b*st*rd making such decisions, but that's why I am not DoF / CoE of QPR, like most of us could not be. Anyhow hopefully it's sorted as seems to being reported.
We do not have evidence as to how the season ahead will go, but there seem to be several positives.
1.New players that were in demand elsewhere,
2.Younger players ready to step up,
3.The securing of some older experienced pros,
4.Several players from last season on the upward curve.
5.A head of performance doing just this job and in the UK too
6.A new manager who is maybe another find.
7.A very experienced high level defensive coach.
8.More players that have pace and goal contribution possibilities.
9.A returning player who performed very well elsewhere.
10.The one main issue everyone had last season with lack of communication. Well a full on fans forum, admittedly before the beginning of the season, some cynically might say before things go wrong and the next one will be likewise strategically timed.
11.Even the potential of extra funds from the sale of someone whose name can no longer be mentioned.
12.And instead of losing five nil to average league One opposition, we have already beaten the mighty Stevenage from the same league one in such a manner.
The theory is to aim for top half this season as there do seem to be possibilities.
Start with a five nil massacre of dull and boring Preston and if we won a league cup tie, a few days after, the mood would be positively orgasmic. However, it could all disintegrate within days. A three nil reverse and two sent off against Preston and a battering in the cup from Plymouth.
"The perverse optimism and downright pessimism of a Queens Park Rangers fan !!!
Does lot of work speaking about mental health difficulties to students and urging people to get help before problems spiral out of control.
Apparently in other articles have read about him, does a great deal of work for those with gambling and alcohol addictions.
Really impressive way to react to his own previous and ongoing difficulties.
Think one missed chance in play off final for ourselves against Cardiff, sent him into a really destructive period - has spoken about that too.
But we'll done him on this - if you have had terrible difficulties in your past and you have battled to get back on the straight and narrow, that's hugely impressive in itself, but to be so open in the hope that it prevents others from choosing the wrong paths themselves, that takes guts.
£68 million for a 27 year old, with limited international experience and never played in the Champions League or even European competitions full stop..
Are clubs not going for Ebere for the reason, he is too expensive. I think he would have been sold years ago, if this wasn't the case.
Is the fact Palace won't sell unless this clause is triggered, preventing Eze's Sale ??
I think so.
Oh yes another Eze thread, but thought this particular point deserved its own fifteen minutes of fame !!!
Just read some wally linking Birmingham with his signing but unlikely to get him as they say they have a proven championship right back in Ethan Laird already there.
Playing now as right back but obviously as we know that could be right wing also. We do have Jimmy of course, and just signed this aussie guy, but any thoughts here.
I didnt see either in the photos of the first training sessions back this summer on the official site.
Do we then conclude that both are to depart.
Personally , yes I would say thank you to Morgan Fox and wish him well.
Colback, might be in a minority but I would offer him a one year deal on reduced wages as he has been a relatively high earner for ourselves as an experienced pro.
I haven't seen too much movement on new players in his position, the purchase of Harvey Vale aside, but I think hJack does a decent job as cover and is more available than most of our older players.
I saw Dixon Bonner and Taylor Richards in the training photos and for me, Colback should be retained above those two. Am guessing the likelihood all three of those will be moved on, and expect perhaps another recruit for centre mid....
My promising football career includes playing five a side and scoring a hat trick against a girls team at university, where we won from two nil down and I had to deal with a great deal of animosity from the fans that day, who wanted the girls to win. I also came on as a sub scoring a winner in the semi final of my primary schools cup semi final fixture, when we had been pegged back from three nil down by a hat trick from their large blonde bombshell who was creating havoc. The tap in from two yards out, unmarked at the far post was the stuff of legends.I played at a high level for my workplace in a local five a side league for several seasons, and once even secured a man of the match accolade. I have not played competitively now for nearly two decades.
Chrstian Nourry says after unveiling my signature on a multiple year contract at a very generous salary -
"Numpty brings a wealth of experience to the club. His immense likeability as a player and as a person and his consistently hard working attitude combined with his duracell abilities to keep on running will bring much needed balance to our team. A strong voice in the dressing room and a wealth of experience behind him, we welcome Numpty and can only predict great things for him, whilst on our books. We are lucky to have secured his services, as we have had to buy him out of his purchase ledger role at a local stationery business and we truly had to play hard ball to achieve this signing. Definitely a potential Rangers legend in the making. Welcome Numpty."
Stewards just staring people out - passive aggressive- made so much worse and rather couple of older blokes throwing a few punches, all the while stewards looking angry and doing nothing and then after about an hour of this nonsense, few people got ejected and police with batons came in, obviously didnt use them.
We were completely bemused.
Worse than I have seen at any football match for years.
A few old dears wading in too.
And unbelievably loads of young kids in big group, probably around 10 years old, totally unphased by what was going on. Probably seen so much on social media ie no sense of what was going on around them.
Had to remember was at a cricket match.
Absolute joke. Could not believe what was happening around us.
Anyhow Surrey won easily but what was going on was outrageous. Ridiculous scenario.
I know normally its rock stars or a-list celebrities posted on here, but posting this as you know you getting older when you think back and hadn't realised some of the people, you still think could be young are going up to the rest home in the sky.
Remember the launch of TV AM in early eighties as found it weird that television was on first thing in the morning.
To be faced with a combination of David Frost, Wincey Willis and Roland Rat as presenters was a chastening way to wake up in the morning. Add in Richard Keys and Frank Bough too - what a bizarre combination of people
She was never in the limelight after TV AM. And in fact passed away in December but only released publicity yesterday.
As a young boy used to buy all of these. When I became a "man", still waiting tbf, purchased "Viz" and the "Today" newspaper. Don't buy magazines or newspapers anymore. Internet and round clock television changed all that. Sometimes less information was more for me.
Anyone still buy magazines or newspapers or know anyone that buys comics ???
