I wasn't a great fan of Harry Enfield when i was younger, as there were so many brilliant comedians around at these times. But that video is brilliant. Simple yet stupid. Ridiculous that probably even this sketch - which is extremely harmless, probably today the woke brigade would say its offensive to the elderly. No its not. Its comedy. In days when we could make jokes at our own expense. [Post edited 14 Sep 20:20]

Am assuming, maybe incorrectly, connected to his mental health, whether substance abuse, alcohol poisoning or at his own hand sadly. Police saying - no suspicious circumstances. An unbelievable brawler in his time, brave beyond reason, but he wasnt able to adjust to retirement. Would have hoped more support could have been available to him, especially given what he achieved in his career. [Post edited 14 Sep 20:21]

Who would have thought it ??? Not only do we now seem to have two very decent strikers, but we are also playing them together in the same starting line up. Appreciate we have not had any strikers that have shown this type of potential, since Austin, first time around, but Burrell has shown to have extreme pace and be a strong presence and Kone is a class player and wow - can this boy finish off an opportunity. I think its great for us to have options up top. I hope both have injury free seasons. If they do, can see us being a very free scoring team. We still do have the players to play different systems. Three attacking players behind the striker and think we will still do this, as a change of approach during games, and also from the start, and clearly, we can have the options of three in midfield too, as demonstrated when Field and Hayden came on to help shore up the defence. And even shock horror, sometimes the goalkeeper or any member of the back four, pump the ball up field.... What kind of sorcerery is this ??? [Post edited 14 Sep 11:24]

Yes and they compared it to the Eze goal at Stoke, although Eze's finish was silk and Kone's was "Have some of that" When Kone hit that yesterday.. "Starting to believe a little bit" as i once heard someone say. What happened next, then ??? |

Good distribution by Nardi. Progressive pass upfield by Dunne. Superb backwards flick by Vale into space ahead of Madsen. Great pass forward from Madsen with the correct amount of pace. Kone takes a couple of touches to make room for the shot. From the edge of the area, an absolute thunder blaster in off the cross bar. Also, to put us two nil up on the stroke of half time. A critical goal in the game, at a critical time in the match. Can we have one of these types of goals every week please Rangers... What a goal !!!! https://streamin.one/v/931d8050 [Post edited 14 Sep 9:33]

Great decision made by Chelsea to offload Noni Madueke to Arsenal. On a par, perhaps with offloading De Bruyne to Man City. Appreciate saying the C word on here is unacceptable, but just wanted to point out their amazing know how and forward thinking still exists today. Beautiful to see !!!!! |

I think as said before, being academy player of the year at Chelsea with how many youth players they have, is some achievement and shows a player with great potential. We signed him, when we knew for half a season he would be unavailable. That clearly put off most potential clubs and think if he hadnt have been injured for the first six months, there would have been clubs, a lot higher up the food chain than ourselves, that would have been in for Harvey. I have thought this quietly for quite some time. The squad depth is deep and top players with proven quality are at times going to be atruggling to even get a place on the bench. I am like most. I dont want to completely open up about the possibilities of this group of players, but safe to say, i seriously don't think we will have the troubles of last few seasons. I think the transfer window we had, has been close to our best window for decades. And this will wind some up but Belk and Nourry, i believe this is Belks domain but i feel this is where Nourry' nouse comes in. If we lose seven one, its all on Christian, but if we win two games consecutively and find goals plentiful, its always anyone to praise apart from Nourry. Think the managers quiet strength and likability, together with a definite steeliness.to battle, will bring us all a long way.. [Post edited 13 Sep 23:12]

Think it is very disrespectful from the OP. Field has been a key player over three or four seasons now and has popped up with vital goals and brilliant defensive blocks over several seasons The style today has meant others have been selected from the start and its worked for two matches, but yes they have both been against league one teams of last season amd it is only two games and not the four seasons that Field has been an extremely important cog in our machine. Even today, he has performed a role with Hayden also to shore things up for the win. Even if he is just a bench ootion for certain games, he will still inpact this season. But saying he has been the big problem in the midfield. He has been our most consistent player here for seasons. Ridiculous to suggest this sir. Its more been the fact of players around him over the years that not been up to scratch. Very harsh words indeed. [Post edited 14 Sep 15:27]

Its also strange that some posters on here, only post when we lose. Damo62 nowhere to he seen but on a losing match thread, posts well into double figures about how poor we are and that the club is rancid from top to bottom. I really cant relate to that kind of support. Find it most strange !!! Great win today. Well deserved. [Post edited 13 Sep 19:12]

Strange. I thought he was very solid and reassuring today. And made some important saves too. |

Thought as much first game I saw him, but was batted down by a few. Could have had a couple more, but hesitated and then pulled back balls instead. Brilliant, he has his goal too. I |

Its a tongue in cheek comment. Feel sad for Walsh but he unfortunately for him needed replacing by Nardi, simply a more experienced head and less error prone. |

Its extremely unlikely to be a lie. Just said its incredibly convenient. Taylor Richards kept on getting calf strains !!!! |
