Just asking as to what the red flags are, from what you heard ?? And where he dodges questions. Only thought the Cifuentes gardening leave he gave no answer worth hearing ie there was literally nothing said. Definitely an interview both ways with b*tch appeal going on though, but the strategy was well explained. What i would say about Nourry in his favour, he clearly wants ro succeed at QPR and will work extremely hard to achieve this. Appreciate many are nervous, or unsure, but its not as if anyone here has torn up many trees. Its a new way of working and let's just see. We have no option on that anyhow Red flags though - need to say what they are really. [Post edited 25 Jul 21:52]

Be amazing if Stokes gets a century to add to his five wicket haul and we manage to clinch what would be an excellent series win. The man is made of a substance not yet known to most human beings. I thought his contributions in recent tests were minimal ie not really featuring as a bowler at all and his batting form was poor also. This test he has put his body through the ringer. Twice in batting he has been caught full on at pace in the 'NETHER" regions. Ouch. Funny yes but pretty fr*cking painful in the extreme. His captaincy and adapting bazball has once more proven successful as they only using bazball when necessary. Very encouraging test series so far. Really enjoying it. [Post edited 25 Jul 20:11]

Well your argument counters itself, in that we getting bids at our level or lower so from clubs with less opportunities to offer more money. Top championship clubs have more money to spend and have players guaranteed more likely to perform as they have done it before. Again your argument doesn't add up. But he is being sold and think to finance a couple of new players. [Post edited 25 Jul 19:04]

In addition to what you have put Landshark Performance Director Job that can be done remotely He defines the strategy not the physical work required to be done in person by fitness coaches. Admits it was a bad look, but we were mid table for injuries last season when EFL had the worst season for injuries since year two thousand. Lessons learned. Value in Negotiations for Sales Not knowing contract lengths, offers are made without knowledge, means we could get more for players than otherwise could Players sales at the peak of their value Allows for existing players to develop within the club ie wage budget has more leeway to increase, if we sell at appropriate times, whilst always having an eye for potential replacements to come straight in, should this happen. Development squad No Nico Hamaleinen or Ossie Kakay now but more brutal Need get experiences early otherwise move to other academies All must have chance to get in first team and if they don't likely to be moved on. Scouting worldwide for talent. Obviously lot easier to track with technology of today. Tbf, I think it was a very interesting discussion with what was said and not said. Dave Mcintyre asked all the questions most fans would want answers to and only the question of Cifuentes gardening leave, was deflected. Possibly contractual law. I know both Dave and Christian know that neither of them would make motivational speakers, so some might not be able to sit and listen, but it was a very wide reaching interview and for me, in general, was very positive. There are obviously with advances in data, potentially newer ways of operating successfully, and it should be interesting to see how this all comes out. I think I learnt that Christian Nourry is definitely a hard working individual and you can see he definitely wants to succeed. Appreciate his age, but in today's world there are massively more opportunities for people at younger ages to be very successful in a whole variety of different levels, and from what I heard, I am confident there is absolutely possibilities that he could succeed here and many ideas do make sense. He is likely to rub some up the wrong way. Most definitely an intellectual, but hard nosed with it, so regards improving our finances so that our team improves likewise from the position we have found our level in recent years again is positive. If you want your Ian Holloway enthusiasm or an ex footballer who knows the club in Les Ferdinand, yes we are going down a different path but I feel it's more in line with modern ways and can succeed. It's also good that he appears very single minded in how to achieve success and he is aware he will have a lot of detractors and is thick skinned enough to make difficult decisions that a lot of us won't like but guess see where this takes us. To me, a lot of parallels with a Daniel Levy way of running a football club. Increasing revenue but with an eye on development. A lot of what he says makes sense. I am not alone though in that delaying announcements on transfers, sales, and a whole variety of news not told is frustrating as a fan but if the club does improve on many fronts all well and good. It's not as if in the last fifteen years there has been massive success, so a change of emphasis and for me, let's see where this takes us. Think that was a very decent interview by Dave and Nourry was very controlled and competent in his replies. But will be interesting. I think the role of head coach as opposed to manager is what irked Cifuentes ie he did not get all he wanted. And the working model seems like it is set consistently, so a meltdown after Beale leaving in terms of keeping the strategy is sensible. But who the heck knows !!! Ultimately if we dont improve season on season, he will be moved on, but I think it's fair to see where this goes. [Post edited 25 Jul 18:49]

You very well know he has improved. Last season for him was by far his most successful season. Saying he is not that good. He wasn't previously but he has clearly gone up a couple of levels in terms of achieving and as yet it's unknown a s to how he could potentially could do at championship level now, after improved form, but there is evidence he would do much much better than previously, as you very well know. Beyond this though is we are selling him, i am certain, even if personally I dont agree with this like many others. [Post edited 25 Jul 17:27]

Has there been a bashing of Adamson. I have not seen that. He is a reasonably young man playing in a much more competitive and robust league on the other side of the world to home. Obviously for him, this season is like some from last season, likely to be a season of transition and he is currently seen as right back cover and currently it seems our only cover in this position. I dont see anyone being against the kid. We all aware of the transition. Hopefully he progresses well throughout his time here. |
 | Forum Reply | Jimmy Dunne where should he play at 14:41 25 Jul 2025
Jimmy Dunne only has one position now - its right back... If our centre back options are wiped out through injuries, then he may play centre back in emergencies, however at centre back, we have 1 Cook 2 Morrison 3 JCS 4 Mbuenge 5 Akildilena Jimmy for me would be sixth option, possibly fifth but depends on how well our covering right backs are, ie Adamson and AN other. I dont think we have any other choices... |

Am being really stupid here.,But say for example we kept Charlie on current terms and either he plays badly or very well for us. In January, we offer him longer contract on higher wages, and if he accepts, all well and good. If he doesn't accept contract then or doesn't perform at a high enough standard for few months, we sell in January. Are either of these scenarios possible.... Ie could we not write.a possible.contract ahead that gets offered to him in January on the proviso , for example scores.nine.goals by end of December... Just trying to understand the logic..... Ie there are no guarantees at all that who we spend extra dosh on, won't flop themselves.. It seems from all explanations, selling in January, is not considered. [Post edited 25 Jul 14:30]

That reminds me, we are running out of bog rolls. Think a multi pack of triple quilted Andrex is required... |

If he has a good season and we finish 10th, contract extension to Charlie in the push for the play offs or better. Think that makes the club more attractive to him. That would be far from a disaster, it would justify keeping him. We won't finish tenth though... [Post edited 24 Jul 23:26]

Kelman could be sold and he does nothing Kelman stays and he does nothing Kelman stays and is on fire Kelman is sold and rips it up Risks either way and his replacements are a risk too. Personally i would keep and see where we go this season. But thats not happening. Feel sadly he is on his way. We shall see if its right or not but a big gamble !!! [Post edited 24 Jul 21:02]

I just want the club to give Charlie a go, at least until January and then they could either sell or if he proves himself then the new contract would be on the table. |

Didn't see it. Sounds like there was a lack of effort. Am debating whether to go on Saturday but with zero strikers in the squad, what's the point in attending. You cant really learn anything from these run outs ie you cant test out your systems. |
 | Forum Reply | The QPR summer transfer rumours thread at 23:22 22 Jul 2025
If we sell Kelman, for me, even if the offer is £5 million, its is idiotic and would be yet another ridiculously poor decision made by a QPR hierarchy. He would need replacing and for £5million or less, you get a player who could work and maybe could not, a bit like with the man we have in front of us. Am slightly concerned about two potential decisions currently it seems our new man at the helm is making. In that Celar is higher up the chain than Kelman, and Walsh is higher up the chain than Nardi. Both, i personally disagree with completely Very happy to be proved wrong but really I think to potentially get rid of Nardi and Kelman even if we do get a bit of dosh for both, what is the point exactly. So my bet of us coming 16th comes off. |
