I always quite liked Dave Bassett. When he was Sheffield utd manager, and they were towards the bottom of the league, he was asked on match of the day so you think you are safe in your job? He said something along the lines of, well I think the chairman is behind what we are trying to do here and anyway he's in India at the moment. And someone in the background shouted out: Dave there's a phone call for you. From madras! |

I hadn't heard of him, but he had a good innings! In Buddy Holly's band and wrote I fought the law and more than I can say. Two pretty good songs to have written from a royalties perspective! |

Don't agree about dunne, felt he was being left a bit exposed with a lack of cover on that side. But agree otherwise, really pleased overall |

I think we are doing well, battling away, good to see. I'm worried though if we go a goal down that will be it. Stoke seem reminiscent of Preston over the last few years with Pearson and the ref surrounding and play acting. That would basically be the end of the football side of the game |

After the dross that Gillingham fans have put up with for years, my Gillingham supporting mates absolutely love him. Well on his way to being an absolute legend there |

I'm not sure the game model idea is necessarily wrong. I've got the impression that that's the kind of thing Brighton/Brentford, Swansea , Southampton did when they were better. And the director of football model, so to an extent it doesn't matter who the manager is ,so you change seamlessly from one to another. If you rip the squad up every time you end up with a load of players the next manager doesn't want. Trouble is, nourry doesn't know what he's doing, and has bought all these young, soft technical players. We need some grizzly hard bastards in there. You can have a desire to play decent football, but no successful team is ever soft as shite. And all the support staff don't seem to be adding much. I dread to think what salaries some of these people are on to produce this |

I accept it can be argued he's not done brilliantly, but we've been in the championship now for eleven seasons. Apart from Mark Warburton, who has taken us above lower mid table mediocrity? I think its more likely things will get worse if he leaves, but theres probably a fair chaeit will stay roughly the same |

If he leaves, and we have a lot of players out of contraxt, we will have no manager and hardly any championship level players. I accept that maybe he hasn't dome a dazzling job, ian holloway got us to 16th and got fired, but things probably aren't going to get any better, probably way worse! Looking at what many managers have done we are probably at the top end of where we should be |

You would like to think we can do better, but if the price is right i wouldn't mind him staying. At least he is available a fair bit, unlike clarke salter |

Has basically been a piss poor performance today. Swansea have been niggly and done lots of fouls, but we didn't match them at all in the first hour. If you dont match them physically you dont earn the right to play. Not that weve looked much like what we were doing anyway. Im glad i watched it at home and didn't shell out on ticket and train. Gash |

JCS staying fit is about as likely as me bedding kylie minogue, so we need to plan accordingly |

Come on the middle! Similarly Disco, my Dad took me to lords in 1981 when i was 9 or 10. They played Warwickshire and Bob willis was playing. Wilf slack scored a hundred, and having been inspired by the botham test, i was well and truly hooked on middlesex cc and cricket thereafter. I should probably have been a kent fan growing up in Erith, but my Dad was from west london and was Qpr and middlesex, so that was that. The year after middlesex won the championship again and i was even more obsessed |

I don't think we are safe already. If we get no more points we will go down! Surely we aren't going to get no more points, but best not put that to the test and put at least 50 on the board |

If Derby win their game in hand, they would move to 41 points. Cardiff are on the same number of games played as us on 40 points, so five behind us. Hopefully Derby lose their game in hand! |
