Southampton Target Ex Liverpool Midfielder
at 09:19:52

Then surely davidargyll, the sensible thing to do is to buy players that haven’t got a recent injury record ?

That way our medical staff simply can’t make another complete mess and waste further £millions can they ?

Southampton Target Ex Liverpool Midfielder

“ Due to injury he missed a big chunk of the last half of the season “.

So did Ross Stewart before he joined but that didn’t stop us wasting £10 million.

It’s the Sports Republic way.

Perhaps Most Important Appointment Of Summer At Southampton Imminent
at 10:21:01

Ronald Koeman ( the finest European midfielder of his generation) and Sammy Lee ( 295 games for Liverpool) or Will Still ( never played professional football) and Paul Trollope ( a journeyman footballer ) and we are supposed to be rejoicing ?

Just goes to show how far our club has fallen under the guidance of Sports Republic.

Southampton Squad Should They Stay Or Should They Go ! Part 2
at 13:47:17

An article which exemplifies all that is wrong with Sports Republic’s recruitment.

Six very average players to choose from and not a stand out player anywhere to be seen.

Proven by the fact that everyone has a different opinion as to who to keep.

Why don’t they buy quality rather than quantity for a change ?

Result if they did, better performance on the pitch and overall a reduced wages bill.

Southampton Squad Should They Stay Or Should They Go !
at 11:20:30

I’ll make it easy for you Nick.

Should Bazunu stay and be first choice keeper for the upcoming season we won’t get anywhere near promotion either outright or via the playoffs.

It was only his unfortunate injury and some good performances by McCarthy that got us to Wembley last time.

The statistics show he isn’t very good and not coincidentally that’s the view held by the vast majority of contributors to your site.

Everton Are Told By Southampton The Price For Tyler Dibling
at 17:11:21

Why would anyone want to pay decent money for Dibling ?

His form during the season just passed was at best adequate and at worst poor.

Add in the fact that on occasions he couldn’t even be bothered to warm up properly and you can see that he’s nothing more than a young kid with modest talent and an enormous attitude problem.

Southampton At Everton The Verdict
at 10:55:14

Well done Colburn for calling it as you see it and commiserations for putting in the effort and expense to go on Sunday and being rewarded with absolutely nothing from Sports Republic and their players.

Our current squad are without doubt the worse collection of disinterested under performing football journeymen that I’ve ever witnessed in my last sixty years of watching the Saints. Against Everton in front of a world wide television audience they just couldn’t be bothered from the get go. They were a disgrace to themselves, fans like yourself in particular and the City of Southampton.

Frankly, apart from the two players you mention and K W P, if I never saw any of them ever again in a Saints shirt it would be too soon.

Southampton Apparently Not Up For Sale At £125 Million
at 22:25:07

“ Football is littered with bad owners, perhaps Sports Republic will turn out to be one of them, but we can’t accuse them of being that just yet”.

Two Premier League relegations in three years together with large numbers of paid for season ticket holders in open revolt not bothering to turn up at St Mary’s and you really believe what you’ve written Nick?

By any standard, acceptance of their ownership and control on the basis that such a low bar meets supporter wises, is nothing if not interesting I suppose.

Johannes Spors Shakes Up Southampton Backroom Team

Colburn, reference Trump and underweststand’s mention of him.

To be honest, I find it equally a mystery as to why you give Jimmy Saville T V a mention.

Personally, if I never heard of either of them ever again it would be too soon.

Johannes Spors Shakes Up Southampton Backroom Team

For pity sake, how many supposedly “ Senior Manager Employees types” does it take to run a relatively small business whose last declared total turnover was only £84.8 million ?

Wouldn’t it be better to employ fewer people who actually knew what they were doing ?

We are Southampton Football Club not Tescos.

Southampton At Leicester City The Verdict
at 15:09:42

Fair play to you Nick in putting out a report with no mention whatsoever of any praise for any of our Owner, Sports Republic or their Senior Employees, Managers or Players.

Given your ever laudable undoubted love and enthusiasm for our Club, displayed over many years,in your efforts to Rally the Troops, I suspect not an easy report for you to have written.

You got this one spot on because all they deserve is what they’ve received since Saturday:- Abject Ridicule.

Southampton Have Their Best Chance To Avoid Unwanted Record On Saturday
at 13:08:38

Hope springs eternal, but just the ultimate confirmation regarding Sports Republic’s total inability to own and successfully manage a Football Club.

Two relegations in three years and success is gauged as being able to avoid being known as the worst team ever to play in the Premier League.

They really are utterly pathetic.

Manchester United, West Ham And Leeds Circling Over Southampton
at 14:32:36

If Bazunu is between the sticks next season we will not be promoted.

He may be a better than average distributor of the ball with his feet but the rest of his game is poor by any metric.

To be frank, I don’t even think we would have made The Championship playoffs had he not been injured toward the end of the season.

McCarthy gets a lot of stick but his inclusion at Bazunu’s expense was ultimately the reason we got to Wembley.

Southampton V Aston Villa The Verdict
at 10:06:38

“ Arsenal aside in the last game of the season, Aston Villa are probably the best side we will face for the rest of the season” ?

Forgotten about Man City Nick ? Current League Champions who are presently ahead of Villa in the table, and put five past Crystal Palace whilst coming from two down on Saturday.

As for our Saturday’s umpteenth humiliation of the season. I didn’t go, so won’t comment.

Can This Be The Dawning Of A New Era At Southampton FC
at 11:59:34

Nick, I hardly think that a prosperous and successful new era will dawn simply because a recently hired Sports Republic employee in Spors, does what he’s told by our owners and sacks another recently hired employee in Juric.

Given their disastrous record of two top flight relegations in three seasons, a new era is only in prospect if Sports Republic depart the scene entirely. Unfortunately however, that doesn’t look very likely does it ?

The Odds Are Out On The Next Southampton Manager

Gerrard is just another player who attempted to be a manager and failed miserably, much the same as the village idiot Rooney.

Given that our club is owned and run by a bunch of total incompetents I imagine it would be a marriage made in heaven were he to be appointed.

Back To Reality For Saints On Wednesday But Sadly Nothing Has Changed
at 10:18:56

Nick, I’ve disagreed with you previously for in my opinion you being far too pro everything Sports Republic and Southampton Football Club Ltd.

This morning however I take my hat off to you for finally posting an article which I suspect reflects the views of the vast majority of fans.

Will the doughnuts who own and manage Sports Republic take any notice of your views ? I doubt it,
but at least thanks for trying.
