It won’t be Pat. Blackmore will waffle on endlessly and run the clock down. He’ll take at least fifteen minutes introducing the panel and another fifteen telling the audience what type of questions are admissible. The remaining thirty minutes the panel will answer about five questions between them whilst praising each other for their efforts on behalf of us ungrateful fans. Wash and repeat until next year. |

Spot on franniesTache. Both facts conveniently forgotten by the red top newspapers to encourage some of their readers to waste their’s and the police’s time stood outside hotels. |

B B C suggesting he’s training alone from the first team in a no physical contact environment. That would perhaps suggest a deal is imminent ? |

Nothing to do with Sports Republic,it’s all the fans fault, it must be because Nick tells us it is. [Post edited 6 Aug 13:11]

You can’t see the point of keeping him when allegedly the price has been met and that appears to be the consensus view now from both Saints and Everton fans. However in my opinion we are owned and managed by a bunch of doughnuts so expect Dibling to start on Saturday, that is if he can be bothered to warm up. Then a whole season of clogging Championship defenders told to target him and kick him out of the game. |

Supposedly £38 million plus £5 add ons for a petulant sulking teenager with limited games in The Premier League and a handful of goals. None of the big six clubs appear interested and the kid doesn’t want to play for us anymore as his body language suggested for most of last season. Get it done Sports Republic and use at least some of the money to buy a quality goalkeeper and midfielder. |

Yep, and if he were to stay without us gaining promotion ? As for getting stick it’s hardly surprising is it, given that they have relegated us from the top flight twice in three seasons ? |

According to the B B C Everton are considering walking away having had a second offer rejected. Sports Republic made a profit of £5.7 according to their last annual accounts. Accepting £40 million for a sulking petulant teenager with limited Premium League experience apparently isn’t good enough even though its seven times their last declared profit. With Sports Republic in control you just can’t make it up anymore. |

For pity sake take the £35 million plus add ons and get it done. Then spend some money on a decent proven goal keeper and creative midfielder. Having said that I fully expect Sports Republic to just take the money. |

Farage’s political skill is identifying what he considers to be a problem, falsely promoting that view (as in Brexit) and then running away ( along with the Circus Clown Johnson ) when something needs to be done about it. He appeals very strongly to the hard of thinking and senior citizens who still believe that we are fighting the Second World War. Will enough of these people vote for him at the next General Election to make him Prime Minister ? Frighteningly, quite probably. |

Can’t see the blue noses taking kindly to his sulking petulant attitude. Probably do him good to have 50000 fans reminding him that he’s not as good as he thinks he is. |

 | Forum Reply | Should the UK adopt the Greek policy on immigrants? at 19:33 31 Jul 2025
When discussing this issue it’s always best to consider the facts :- Last Available Figures for the year 2024 :- 1. Balance of Legal immigrants ( coming ) to the UK against those emigrating ( leaving) plus 431,000. 2. Asylum seekers ( commonly known as Boat people ) 37,000. So for every one so called Boat person there were nearly twelve legal arrivals. Makes me wonder why some people waste their time concentrating on the Boat people when if they think there is a problem it’s actually going on in open sight in a completely different direction. For the purpose of clarity, I quote the figures above without having any opinion as to whether the Greek system is to be applauded or condemned. |
