Last available figures for the “ feckless “ ( whatever that may mean ) taking benefits actually show that £23 billion annually remained unclaimed Bazza. |

Fair point but even so 35% of houses are still owned mortgage free. An up to date assessment of house values ( the last one being in 1991 ) wether mortgage free or not would surely be a starting point to raise revenue for councils to provide services would it not ? |

Nick, why do you continually suggest that Sports Republic and the people they employ are separate entities ? And please don’t try and use the same ridiculous argument about Tescos and their branch at Bittern or wherever it was, that you previously attempted when asked the same question. |

The last reassessment of English household property values for the purpose of paying council tax took place in April 1991. Perhaps bringing them up to date would help for the purpose of taxing wealth ? After all that’s where a very large proportion of the nation’s wealth is stored. |

Is anybody really surprised ? After all, Ramsdale’s C V shows he was allowed to move on from Arsenal in addition to three Premier League relegations with different teams. Perhaps he’s simply not as good as many make him out to be ? |
 | Forum Reply | Little Happening On The Transfer Front at 23:41 12 Jul 2025
No, because the Sports Republic doughnuts think that Bazunu is good enough as our first choice when every man and his dog can see that isn’t the case. |
 | Forum Reply | Little Happening On The Transfer Front at 12:30 12 Jul 2025
Why on earth would Ramsdale wish to go to Sunderland other than money ? Suggested he has recently become married and lives in Sandbanks. Perhaps to add another relegation to his CV ? Relegated from the Premier League four times with Bournemouth,Sheffield Utd, Southampton and almost certainly Sunderland. That’s one hell of a record for a supposed top flight keeper. |

Well thought out article 901. I’ve many more years behind me than ahead and life has taught me that you only get what you pay for. Scandinavian levels of taxation are high but they have one of the happiest populations. Will we follow suit ? Regretfully, all current evidence points in the opposite direction. |

I’m pretty certain that last season we conceded more goals when he was out of the team than when he was in it. He’s a proven Championship player and let’s face it that’s where we are at so a contract extension isn’t the end of the world surely ? |

Before we all die of boredom please settle for a dead heat with the cup being shared between the two of you on a six month on, six months off, basis. |

If it’s true then nobody will be in the least surprised at the outcome. Probably better to have keep him and given him a go in The Championship. Mind you, that would be far too simple a solution for Sports Republics spreadsheet doughnuts to comprehend. |
 | Forum Reply | Who’s got the earliest game at 13:54 1 Jul 2025
23rd of April 1960. Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic ( as they were known then ) 1-3 Southampton. Played at Dean Court ( as it was known then ). We wore gold shirts and black shorts if my fading memory serves. Eternal thanks to my uncle for introducing me to “The Saints”. |

“At a big club in this league with promotion expected”. There’s the rub though Southamptonfan, we expect promotion but really do our owners and their employees at Sports Republic ? Having royally f cked up last season do they want the hassle and expense of trying to compete in the Premier League again or will they be happy just to be also rans in The Championship. David Brooks allegedly going to W B A and not ourselves suggests to me that with Sports Republic The Championship is going to be our level for the foreseeable future. |
 | Forum Reply | DAVID BROOKS TO SIGN!!!!!!!!!! at 20:31 30 Jun 2025
Utterly pathetic by Sports Republic if it’s true. Played for us and as you say a top flight Championship player who lives locally. Honestly, Sports Republic haven’t a clue. |

Spot on Nick. Why sell a proven goal scorer with massive Championship experience ? Forget about the Arsenal game because effectively it was an end of season friendly. Ross Stewart will be staying purely because nobody else will be daft enough to buy him given his injury record and because his contract expires in a years time. |
 | Forum Reply | incoming please at 18:06 27 Jun 2025
Sincerely hope you are wrong but won’t be at all surprised if you aren’t. It’s just the sort of stupid signing Sports Republic would make.Employing an injury prone has been, no doubt on a massive salary. |
