We beat Stoke at their own game. No player had a bad performance and there was quality in both defending and attacking. My MotM was Vale. His link-up play was superb and what a great goal in the style of Bobby Z. Big smile on my face for the noise our fans made at HQ. C'mon u Rs |

Really got stuck in today. The defensive role suits his height and he has less running to do. But the big plus is that we can play out from the back with him. Remember last season when Morgan took Madsen's place in the starting XI. Well Madsen has deservedly taken it back! |

I was thinking the same. He could be the defensive ball-progressor we're looking for.. Can he also play at RB? If so, that's 3 positions he play in. |

I didn't know Cooper was short for a keeper. That's a real shame as I thought he could be our next number 1 goalie. I wonder if we'll come back in for Dieng in January? |

What a cool photo! I grew up in the 80's so don't have any first hand memories of 70's teams . That simple but utterly classic blue & white shirt is iconic. Thanks for sharing. |

Great result . 10 things that I was really impressed with. 1) Walsh's long throw-out that directly set up the counter attack for the first goal was absolutely fantastic. More of this direct approach please. 2) Kolii's defending and tracking back I thought were excellent. IMHO hia all-round game is really improving. 3) Saito's skill. I was on the fence about his return., but that mazy run and cool finish was sublime. I think he took on 4 players and beat them all. 4) Madsen defining his role within this team. IMHO part of the problem with Madsen in the past is where to play him. He's not got the pace or stamina to get up and down the pitch effectively. But as a defensive midfielder who can .play out from the back I think is his where he belongs for us. 5) Team spirit and togetherness. What a great way to bounce back from the Coventry catastrophe. Despite last season's lop-sided squad our team was a ikeable group that the fans could get behind. IMHO this has continued into this season. 6) Kone is class! 7) M & M at the back is our best CB pairing.. 8) Can't wait to see Burrell score. His effort deserves a goal. 9) Smyth on the scoresheet. Last season the biggest flaw in his game was his lack of goals and assists for the amount of time he was on the pitch. Well, he's off to a flyer in changing that. Hope he stays and signs a new contract. 10) Strength in depth. I think most would agree that over the last few seasons QPR could put out a decent first 11 if all fit, but scratch below that and we were struggling. IMHO thanks to the Eze money we've been able make this transfer window far more successful than last years.. C'mon you Rs! |

I hate to get upset over a QPR result, because we've been hurt so many times in the last 20 years, but what gets me upset about the Cov loss is our defending. The last two seasons and a half we've survived, in this league, by the skin of our teeth, by good defending. Where was the defending today? It was upsetting. IMHO, Cook needs to be benched with M & M our CB pairing. Stop piss balling from the back and become a proper defensive unit like we have been. That first goal we conceded is a carbon copy of of the first goal we conceded against Watford. I slapped my forehead as the ball went into the back of the net. Back to basics yet again. |

Despite being a good player who fitted in well at QPR during his loan, my fear with Hayden is that he's injury recorde and age goes against him.Given that he's had no major injury in the last season and and a half, I fear he's due one. Sorry to be be pessimistic about resigning him as I think he is a good footballer and decent fella but imho he's too high risk given our current injuries. |
 | Forum Reply | Walsh v Nardi at 02:48 14 Aug 2025
Pure speculation, but I think the simple reason Walsh has been picked over Nardi is that Nardi is Out of Contract at the end of the season and he hasn't been offered or has refused a new deal. |

Given our starting line-up I thought it was a very promising display. Our attacking play seems to pose a genuine threat, and despite a few wobbles at the back, our defending did enough. Essie going forwards was great to watch. I think we could develop into a side that has the potential to really counter-attack and sucker-punch teams. COYRs |

IIRC it was Newcastle. They offered 20m but Palace only offered 16m. As Eze wanted to go to Palace the 20% sell-on was agreed to mitigate the lower fee. |

I remember he scored a wonder goal for the B team and the club put it up on the website. After seeing that I thought he might make it,, but sadly no. |

You're right. If you feed random nonsense into chat GBT you'll get random nonsense out. However, it is VERY good at writing articles if you know how to 'train' it accordingly This can be what style and format you want, what arguments you want to make, how to open and close the article as well as using a persuasive tone. You then revise / fine tune the 'drafts' that Chat GBT outputs using Chat GBT on its own drafts. Finally you give the article a 'human' edit and you're done. Compare the OP to the rest of CharlieB's posts and the difference becomes very clear imho. |

Absolutely this! I use Chat GBT and you're right. The style and flow are very similar, but the dead giveaway is the — symbol. This is something Chat GBT loves to do. CharlieB's subsequent posts then go downhill in terms of quality with grammar, spelling and balance of argument all suffering. IMHO that original post was not written in good faith — it was AI assisted. That's not fact. That's just my informed opinion based upon using Chat GBT and having once been a qualified lecturer in adult literacy. |

Post of the year so far :) The Spirit of Gregory lives on. In such a dismal week for QPR this has put such a huge smile on face. C'mon u Rs |

Great match. Dembele is looking like a class signing. So pleased Madsen got stuck in. I'm really curious as to how he he feels about QPR. Does he want to be here next season or does he think the league is too physically demanding for the type of player he is and he wants to move on. Despite another rollercoaster of a season Marti and Calm deserve praise for their bonding of team spirit. This is such a likable squad despite its shortcomings. C'mon u Rs |

BBC has us as 4 - 1 - 4 - 1. Colback in front of back 4. Glad Marti has mixed it up a bit. |
