Sheehan quandary & local media hatchet job on the Swans head coach
at 14:57 18 Oct 2025

Not when they are completely blind to what is happening in the pitch. Don’t tell me you’re happy with the shit we are witnessing?

Let’s get him in before while we still have a chance to do something. Either Sheehan has completely changed from last season or Darran O’Dea is the negative influence.

The other site is saying they missed three open goals. Perhaps your footballing knowledge isnt all that perhaps? Maybe too one eyed for your own good?

If you’re going in expecting a loss how low are your expectations 🤣?
We are not competing - that much is painfully obvious and we have no plan of attack. Shit reward for our travelling fans.

Yeah, because it’s not like it has any bearing on what’s going on the pitch does it. So tell me, are you watching free flowing attacking football with lots of shots on or off target (apart from Southampton)?
Does Southampton having 39 touches in our penalty area to our 7 in theirs make you laugh? I’m struggling to see the funny side to be honest.

I’m extremely concerned that our XG is 0.11 to Southampton’s 2.21. We have a manager who is as negative and backward thinking as some of our previous with no real idea how to set up an attacking team. Here’s a hint for him - pick an aggressive attacking midfielder and drop Stamenic who after a brilliant couple of games in the beginning had become as ineffective as Fulton.
Why the hell did we buy Widdell????

Ethan Galbraith : The Swans are reluctant to talk in January regards any offers
at 19:27 15 Oct 2025

He was the stand out player on the field last night - overshadowing a 120 million midfielder. He’s 24 and ours - if the previous regime were still here they’d be hawking out already and probably would undersell him for 10 million when with foresight and patience he could go for three times that.

This is what will ramp up the pressure on Sheehan - if we carry on underperforming and not looking like getting promoted premier league clubs WILL turn Galbraith’s head and we may be forced to settle for less than what he’s really worth - just like what happened to Orient.

I was quite surprised, knowing our luck that he actually gave us the decision. We got back on terms but poor ball retention and some poor concentration cost is. You can’t tell me that Vipotnik going off and Idah coming on didn't ease the pressure on their defence surely? We struggled to get anything meaningful going after the equalizer.

How is Alan Sheehan doing ?
at 21:19 5 Oct 2025

I’m not sure I agree to be fair. We had an inferior squad last season and if we’d dumped Williams earlier could have made their mark in playoffs.

This season Vipotnik scored almost as many goals in this first two months as he did last season. We’ve got one of the best players in the Championship in Galbraiths and far more strength in depth. We should be doing better that this.

Most managers would be delighted to have the depth of squad he has at his disposal. Whatever happened to playing to your strengths and horses gor courses? We seem to be as one paced as we were under williams. We really need to be a bit braver and start to really have a go and crank the pressure up. We made Blackburn look a lot better than they were and just held on for the win. Wouldn’t it be nice to be more aggressive , pin teams back and score more goals?

This is all a bit “displeasing “.

I couldn’t face coming in here last night so I prepped the Sunday dinner after 6 pints instead. I came away from the game feeling like we’d had a bit of a going over towards the end. They were definitely quaillity I think this though was the first time they’d clicked properly this season- just our luck.

They were bigger and more dynamic than us and that wins you a lot of marginal refereeing decisions. They broke superbly and their one touch passing was excellent on times. Obviously it helps when you have a good squad because of the money you’ve spent (illicitly) but I expected a lot more from us.

Sheehan’s weird obsession with hooking Vipotnik is really wearing on me now. He was excellent again yesterday and his hold up play was bringing others into the game and causing Leicester some problems. Idah came on, scored the penalty then nothing. That lack of ball retention enabled them to dominate us and they played a master game exposing Key time and again to their pacy 16 year old winger .

It’s been mentioned that Stamenic was negative and we have all seen what he can do but was he acting under strict orders? He must have because I know he is a much more effective and more importantly for yesterday aggresive player too. Him with Galbraith in front and Yalcouye as the midfield three would have fared better IMHO.

Fair play to Eom he had a good game but I think play your best winger and that’s Inoussa. Benson is not the player he was but in fairness he came on with Key struggling behind him.

Their first 2 goals were superb and I thought we had our good spells but the selection seemed a bit off and that’s down to the manager. He should have been drilling into the lads all week that this was a real opportunity to make their mark in the division but we crapped ourselves instead and in truth it could have been more. At least Sheehan wasnt stupid enough to play 2 up front - it’s ok if you start going long and win your second balls in a more industrial style of football (which is ok to mix it up at times) but with our midfield already overrun it could have been 5 or 6 goals against us. Let’s hope lessons are being learned - I’m not sure they are though unfortunately.

It looked like the ball popped up and possibly hit Inoussa on the hand? Would have been harsh as it looked purely accidental . I was watching on the phone so appearances could have been deceptive
