It was good to see them back at loftus road again, but it was a shame that we couldn’t hear a word that was being said from the lower loft again.

I saw him at the Ipswich regent last year, and it was a brilliant night. No ex QPR players though and not many R’s in the audience.

They could leave just Bannon on the pitch and give us a chance of a draw.

Away wins
at 21:50 16 Sep 2025

The last 4 away league games I’ve been to have resulted in us winning all of them.I couldn’t make Watford or Coventry, but I was at Oxford,Preston,Sunderland and Wrexham.I don’t suppose you can count the friendly at Chelmsford in July.
After only seeing a few away wins in all the games I’ve been to since Covid I feel very lucky to have seen 4 on the trot.
Anyone on a longer run?

I thought that too but when I went on the gov.uk site to check my pension age it said March 2027,but that might change.

I retired from driving trucks 3 years ago next month, and I can honestly say that I haven’t had time to get bored yet.
I have a small pension from Royal Mail to hopefully tide me over until March 2027,although being 65 today I was hoping to get it now,but times have changed.

Who knows if I’ve saved enough to see out my days comfortably, but I do know I’ve worked enough. The only thing that concerns me is that the pension age is under review again, and they might raise it to higher than 66 1/2 for me.
If you enjoy work then stay there, but if you don’t then retire.Good luck to you all.

Norwich away…train?

Welcome to our world mate.Bus replacement between Colchester and Ipswich is happening for a few weekends in September. It added an extra 30-40 minutes to an already long journey this weekend going to Wrexham. And it’s on again next weekend too.I can normally go via Cambridge to avoid it all but there’s a bus replacement service between Cambridge and Royston too.

I just looked and it’s a bus replacement service between Ipswich and Norwich, which takes 1 hour 30 minutes instead of 30 minutes by train.Maybe it might be better for everyone to go via Cambridge or Peterborough instead.

Tyler Morris's day out in Wrexham
at 10:42 14 Sep 2025

Now on the train home after a great day yesterday.
Good luck to Wrexham on staying up this season as it was a great place for a night out, especially after the win yesterday.
We met some great people last night and everyone was friendly.
I didn’t realise that there was two 3 o’clocks in a day until we finally crawled into bed this morning.A great away day and well done to everyone who travelled.

You can do the tour yourself much cheaper than the Barmy army tours cost.I booked both test in New Zealand a couple of years ago for 1/2 the price that they were charging.
I’m not sure about organising a trip to Pakistan or South Africa myself, but New Zealand and even India last year were pretty easy.
And it’s very easy to get dragged along by the crowd and tour organisers to spend a lot more than you need to.

The Turf on mold rd is the pub according to the football ground guide. And it’s only a short walk to the ground.
And one from Stowmarket on the 6.28 train/bus.

They did pretty well to compete in the last Ashes series over here, and were unlucky not to win the series 3-2.Down under is a different kettle of fish, but we’re still the last ones to actually win an away Ashes series in 2010-11.

We regularly had crowds of 8-9k in the 1st division before Sky invented football in 1992.The SW6 filth only had big crowds a few times a season too,and we sometimes had bigger crowds than them.
Hard for any youngsters to fathom that one I reckon.
