I don’t watch his program,but I get his weekly emails.Tonight’s mentioned the savings by buying an oyster card over using contactless if you have a railcard.
Apparently you have to register your Oyster card on the TfL website,and go to a manned tube or Elizabeth line station and get your railcard added to your Oyster card and you save 33% on fares on the tube and Elizabeth line fares.
If you travel in London regularly you could save a fortune according to him.
I’m in London for gunsnroses next Thursday at Wembley so I will give it a try.

I just saw that the Ipswich women’s team have been promoted to the championship for the 1st time.A few years ago they were in the same league as the qpr ladies team,but while they’ve received proper investment,our team has stagnated.It wouldn’t take that much investment to reach the same level as they have,and it doesn’t count against the ffp situation.
I’m guessing it would only cost the equivalent of less than 1 month of the losses that the owners cover now for our 1st team. |

How many more p@ss poor performances are we going to serve up in the remaining 7 games?At least 3 more away games are going to be thrown away as any team that attacks us from the off gets at least 2 goals up and knows the job is done.
It’s been the same story away from home since Boxing Day,with the exception of Plymouth and Hull.
Swansea,Millwall,Portsmouth,Middlesbrough and now Stoke just given 3 points because our players can’t even do the basic things they were probably taught as children.
I’m sick these players strolling around until the 80th minute,when they suddenly decide to put in the effort that they should’ve done from the 1st whistle.
I feel sorry for the youngsters that I was stood amongst today as they have to put up with this sh@t long after I’ve gone. |

Thanks to some generous posters on here and elsewhere,I’ve managed to acquire another 1,000 old QPR programmes over the last week or so.
I found my old QPR programme booklet from 1987ish,but does anyone know if there is an updated version showing any later seasons than that?
Is there anyone on here who is going to the programme fair next Sunday?Serious collectors would know a lot more than I do so instead of writing them all down on scraps of paper,I’d find it easier to tick them off in a book like the secret trainspotter that I am.

I saw on FB that the crown and sceptre is closing for 4 weeks in April for a makeover.You’re welcome to come and join us in the White Horse,but I don’t think they sell Peroni.And no food unless you fancy a meal deal next door in Tesco.With the amount of loyalty points you would’ve got on Saturday,you might get it free. |
