If you come off the M6 at junction 3,turn 1st left,Picard’s way.Then left at the next roundabout which takes you back under the M6.Turn right at the lights and down there for about 1/2 mile and there is free street parking there.You can walk to the ground along the canal in about 15-20 minutes.Follow the same route back and you’ll be on the motorway before some others have left the stadium car parks. |

Sorry mate but I’m one of the many no shows for tomorrow.I’ve got a 1001 excuses,but it’s mainly because I can’t be bothered for the 3 hour journey each way just to see us lose up there again.Last season’s injury time winner was a real sickener and I don’t want to see it happen again.
Good luck to those travelling and hopefully you’ll witness a great away win. |

Last season I booked a parking space in Grindle rd CV6,but it was a block of flats and the numbers weren’t visible on the parking bays so I parked on the road instead for free.Its about a 10-15 minute walk to Dhillons from there. |

We went in Dhillons brewery last year and it was ok.Its a mainly home fans pub/hub but I emailed them and they said that there is no ban on away fans,but you have to respect their pub and not be a dick.
Shame about the Longford engine,but they can’t keep going on 23 days worth of takings I guess.
I just saw on their fb site that they had Richard Keogh on in the pub on June 7th.If only they’d advertised it more widely. [Post edited 21 Aug 11:54]

I had a free ticket to the game as my son-in-law had to work.I saw him warming up with the rest of the team and assumed he was playing.
A pretty even game with Ipswich probably having slightly better chances.We were pretty much next to the away fans in the cobbold lower.That stand has definitely had its day as the legroom easily compares to the Stan Bowles or Sth Africa rd stands.
Good noise from the Southampton fans throughout most of the game.A draw was probably the right result.Both sets of fans didn’t like their teams playing out from the back,as both team looked shaky doing it.
What the ref was doing with some of the decisions is anyone’s guess. |

I reckon you dodged a bullet there BC.I was up at Sandringham watching the stereophonics,and there was no phone coverage at all,so I didn’t find out we lost until 12.30 when I got back to civilisation.I left my car and the radio at ht,and it was 2-1.I was hoping that we’d come back for at least a draw.

Allegedly Semenyo heard a racist comment from the crowd tonight at Anfield and told the referee.He then goes on to score twice in the 2nd half for Bournemouth.I hope the pr@ck who abused him is feeling pretty ashamed about it now.
Reminds me of the night some idiots decided to abuse Andy Cole.Although that wasn’t racist abuse. [Post edited 15 Aug 21:46]

We don’t seem to agree so it’s best if we leave it there.
I just want my club to put out the strongest team possible and try to win every game,regardless of the opposition.
As for L1,we’ve been there before and I’ve no doubt we will be there again someday.Whatever will be will be,we ain’t going to Wembley. [Post edited 15 Aug 16:21]

Is it only about the money though?If us fans accept putting out a crap side because we might drop from 13th to 15th in May,then might as well all pack up and go home.
Would Wigan fans prefer they’d stayed up for another season or have a day out at Wembley to actually win the FA cup a few years ago?
You can’t buy memories of trophies won,or days out at Wembley.It seems you can buy 11th place instead of 12th. |

Or just don’t bother playing in it because it’s not worth anything money wise.
Just save your main players to finish mid table in the premier league or the championship.
Just as well we didn’t have this attitude in 1966-67 or our cupboard would be as bare as Fulham or Brentford’s.

What about the extra revenue that cup final would bring in if they managed to reach it?80,000 shirts at £55 equals £4.4 million,without extras like hats,scarves and stuff? |
