The Prince of Darkness. Gone but not forgotten. Showman extraordinaire. Thanks for the memories..... |

He needs to learn to head the ball for a player of his stature if he wants to score goals. He runs all afternoon, but rarely with much purpose. Other than that he'll have to rely on the two-yard tap-ins. |

Jim didn't mention any players by name. He just said that some more familiar faces would be missing, for different reasons. Assuming 1 reason may be existing injuries, it is easy to come to the conclusion that 'other reasons' might be someone leaving for elsewhere. |

He also said that a couple of 'more familiar names' may not appear for 'different reasons'. Probably the subject of bids from elsewhere and being kept on the sidelines to prevent injuries. Beckwith and Rodney spring to mind as obvious candidates. Let's see who doesn't get a run out tomorrow. |

Described as 'versatile', so perhaps he'll be the new goalie. |

We kick off with an away game as above. Alty at home for the 1st home match. |

The Priest presumably acted with his conscience and deemed the MP unfit or unworthy to receive communion. I'm not Catholic, but life is sacrosanct. If Parliament can provide a proper legal framework, together with the medical profession, then surely it is right to allow terminally ill people to die at their own choosing, provided that the patient is fully cognisant of the situation and has capacity to make that decision for themselves. It is surely an act of compassion to allow suffering to end and death to arrive pain free. It happens with much loved and treasured animals without a second thought. |

Halifax provided what was probably the worst performance of any team I've seen this season. Woeful from start to finish. Oldham have Fondop, Yoganathan and simply bombed the box with high balls and Halifax were clueless. York will be a different proposition altogether. |

I agree that the future is exciting regardless of next Thursday. We are sailing in calm waters with proper plans and foundations being laid, without all the bulls*it we've listened to for years on end and the shenanigans we've all witnessed more recently. The club is at last in professional hands, with a clear vision, a definite intention to progress and we can see the roots being established almost weekly. The recent Rochdale Futures and the accompanying video is the most professional piece of work that I can ever remember being produced by the club. It was an amazing performance by the young lad in the video, and he said everything I would like to have said when I was his age. Magnificent effort young man - be very proud of that. It is mainly his generation that we need to appeal to, and that was from the heart, directly to the fans and people of Rochdale. There are some exciting plans being made for the future, both on the pitch and off it. Things have never looked better and we should all encompass what's happening and be thankful that we have been given this incredible opportunity to secure the future and develop the club. |

You might criticise KM for his drought of goals, but calling him lazy is a ridiculous, cheap insult. He runs non-stop from whistle to whistle, for the benefit of the team. He forces defenders into mistakes, often resulting in us gaining possession again in midfield. He's not the perfect article by any stretch of the imagination, if he were, he wouldn't be here, but trying to ridicule him as some do, is no more than playground bullying. |

He's retiring. He's said so. |

Henderson has already stated several times this season, that this will be his last.. He's still got it, no doubt about that, but real life beckons with his other business interests and young family. |
