Just the sum of £1 million to find now for the bond required by the league. There has to come a point where the NL say enough is enough and remove them from the league. Of course it's the supporters who suffer, as ever, but I understand the dilemma the NL face. They have many other members to protect and they can't keep hanging on indefinitely waiting for people to fulfil promises.
Unless there's a massive upsurge in effort and activity from Southend, they're facing expulsion. Sad, but it's becoming the most likely outcome. |

That's only because politicians interfere and poke their noses in to benefit themselves. They need to butt out. A candidate being a Dale fan is no reason to vote for them. Far greater issues are at stake than which club they support. |

It was a cracking afternoon. Very well attended. Thompson XI won on penalties after a 2-2 draw, and a header by Calvin into the Sandy Lane goal for old time's sake.
Many former Dale players in attendance, Joe Bunney, Keith Hill, Dale Stephens, Simon Ramsden, Tom Kennedy, Jason Kennedy, Paul McShane.
Great entertainment, bars were crammed with customers and an appearance from Joe Thompson who was receiving chemo treatment at lunchtime today.
A superb afternoon all round and I hope they make thousands for the cause. |
