I actually live in Langland not far from Mumbles. It’s fine here, I really like it. As you know I was in Southgate before and although really nice, I prefer it here. Let me know when you fancy a jar or two down here and we’ll meet up. |

I watched a bit of her games recently and she has the ability but easily starts to fall apart with pressure, strangely enough when in a winning position.
She’s mentally atrocious and needs help to sort this out, her father is a control freak though allegedly so she doesn’t keep a coach for more than a few tournaments at a time.
She will never win another slam and with her brittle body - ankles, wrists, back etc. - she’ll probably not win a ranking tournament either. |

Because we are constantly looking to America and seem to think if it works there then it’s the standard. It’s not. We are not American in the way we think and have a far different attitude. More reserved, more feet on the ground I’d say.

I suppose it depends on what has had to give so that the economy performs well and how some sectors of society may have been severely disadvantaged. We probably won’t get to hear about that. |

We have to be mindful of what the endgame is with this. Year on year services become less and the public are expected to do more. And that includes paying more!
What will it look like 10 years from now? No collections and we will be expected to take it to a site to have it weighed in and charged by the lb?
They are saying that it needs to be clean waste. That means washing all the cans before bagging up. And plastic food trays. All this is extra expense to the householder over a period of time and a draw in his / her time. But no decrease in council tax.
Will we need to take labels off cans to put in the paper bin separate from the can?
I hope I’m not giving them ideas but the decrease in responsibility if the council with no financial benefit to the householder is getting greater all the time. |
