Yes I agree but against lesser sides they will get some return from that intensity. It’s too early to say but I think they’ll be there or thereabouts. If they can keep the home crowd as up for it as tonight it’s going to be a tough gig for all opposing teams. |

I’m pretty certain we won’t be playing at that intensity tomorrow. Or any other game this season. The question is whether we can stop the opposition playing like that. Ipswich seem happy to fight fire with fire something we aren’t equipped to do in this case. |

Really??? I think Birmingham’s energy, pace and physicality would play us off the park. I hope we show the same commitment in games otherwise we’ll get swallowed up by sides like these. |

Agreed but Smodicz should have scored just then too. |

What an ugly game so far. It’s going to be a very intimidating place to go if tonight is anything to go by. |

They may do because I don’t think Southampton are going to be that good. Given last season’s disaster they’re going to need to get some confidence back and that may take time. I’m not saying they’ll do a Luton but may struggle, especially to start. That said, hope they whack Disney FC around the park😁 |

My view as well on Ipswich and to an extent Southampton. So many saying they’ll go straight back up but I’m not sure. Southampton especially were battered last year (apart from a certain cup game iirc) and they’ll need to regain their confidence to be courting the top two places all season. We’ll see, it will be interesting. |

You’re right but that rule seldom applies to them regardless of the performance. They always see something different to what everyone else sees. That’s why I was so surprised. I don’t think I’ve known a luckier club than them though. It backs up the theory that the devil looks after his own 😈 |

Well I suppose we’d say the same but in fairness they knew they were a distant second best tonight and that the goal should have stood. Normally they’d be saying the opposite, especially on Anus’s site. |

Just had a Quick Look on their site and to be fair, to a man they said they were second best, that the goal was definitely onside and that PV deserved the win. Rather refreshing coming from that site that was. There was one if course who said that they need to be aware that all sides are going to up their game against them. He was serious as well I think. Delusional doesn’t describe them. Or just him tonight. |

I hope this one hasn’t been let out of the bag too early. First we should hear about it is holding the shirt and telling us that it was a no brainer, he’s buzzing to get going with the lads. No sooner than that😁 |

The ‘sheep thing’ is a very common sobriquet for people from Wales. Derby fans are also referred in the same way by Forest fans I believe. It’s not a secret term which you’ll only get to know by going to a Swans game. You don’t half talk some rubbish at times Res. |

This type of International point scoring has no place in club football. It’s a silly argument. |

PSR is our Achilles heel. We have wealthy owners who I’m sure if PSR wasn’t a thing or was a little more relaxed would put more money in. Our owners need to focus on the marketing and off-field success of the club. Bums on seats is the first consideration. Every matchday should be an experience that makes them want to come again. Good, affordable food and drink, entertainment, incentives whatever. They’ve clearly stated some intention with the engaging of both Modric (from the on field side) and Snoop Dog (on the off-field side). Both these names raise worldwide recognition of the club but we need more. Selling merch is big in the list too so novel ideas needed there. Make the Swan a worldwide logo, recognise wherever you go. Revenue from these sources increases our ability to spend more without breaching PSR. It’s all about being ahead of the curve. |
