1968/69.
We lost every away game that
season.
I went to most of them.
Missed Old Trafford luckily because we lost 8-1.
I think we only won 3 home games . |

This was the best one.
When Luton banned away fans.
A Luton fan that i worked with had to go a wedding so gave me him and his sons ticket.
It was in the home end .m
The Luton players kicked balls into the stand to thank their supporters.
I caught one and gave it to my son, all the fans around me cheered and said well done.
I smiled inwardly then had to sit on my hands when Rangers scored in the second half |

Thousands of Rs fans on the big open bank looking over the Thames.and behind the goal.
Great game Rs behind with few minutes to go Marsh scoed 2 ina 3-2 win.
Thats how i remember it.

We could have been 5-1 down at half time at Watford.
The early shot just past the post , the misguided header, the great save from Walsh, plus the 2 goals.
The writing was on the wall.
3 away games 12 goals conceded.

Unfortunaly he died a few years ago.
He had a muscle wasting illness that made it very difficult for him to walk.
But still got to as many games as he could right to the end.
He had a mobile scooter bedecked in Rs scarfs,banners and badges.
A true Rs fans going back to the 70s |

Have known Vic for about 50yrs.
Used to go on the coaches to away games in the 70s.
Vic his mate Gary Pete and Trevor kingham, Ellie and a few other regulars would travel to all the away game
under the watchful eye of Daphney who would keep them in order.
Get well soon mate.
