We have to stop the crosses coming into our box from the wings and deep ,Alex Neil is a wiley championship manager and will set them up to frustrate us and stop our wingers and midfield from having time and space and feeding Zan ,we will need to be on our game for this one and if we are we are more than capable of getting 3 points |

The Media up the road are so biased towards anything associated with that city it’s sickening, always trying to demean anyone or anything just to try to elevate their own status They think they’re better than everyone else and can’t take it when it’s proved they are not,so they come out with all sorts of misinformation and bile to try to justify it Lazy reporting doesn’t really cover it , it’s just embarrassing rubbish Long Live the INDY Shove it up their Harris Keith |

Agree , Widell ,Yalcouye and Benson should have gone on earlier Vipotnik should have stayed on and we should have marked closer in midfield and out wide and stopped the crosses coming in,maybe changed to a 4-4-2 to counter Brums changes and make them defend more taking the pressure off our defence |

Agree with you , Birmingham came out second half and got tighter to our midfield and wide men , they were happy for us to have the ball in our own half but gave us no space in their’s stifling our passing game, maybe we should have changed things a bit and gone long a bit more maybe gone to a 4-4-2 just to stimey them a bit but we needed VIP to stay on in any case Sheehan is still learning and will improve but he does struggle with his substitutions There are some Wiley managers in this league and teams with tricky wingers who will hurt us if we continue to give space like we have The training ground is where this should be worked on |

Sheehan was outwitted today and not for the first time by the opposing manager ,who showed a better tactical ability and awareness He has to take the blame for today and improve his decision making |

You’re correct, if we’d made Brum defend the pressure wouldn’t have been in our box as much As I posted earlier we have to stop giving wide men so much space to get the ball and attack us , a lot of the teams in this division have good pacey wingers and it will be a long painful season if we don’t learn to mark and defend wide areas better ,both our fullbacks are good going forward but not the best defenders and need their wingers to help them more but this is definitely is something that can be rectified on the training ground As regards substitutions ,Sheehan needs to learn he must make them sooner if needed ,this thing about waiting until the hour mark is crap ,if change is needed sooner just do it , our bench is much stronger now with more quality than we’ve had for many years so there isn’t really an excuse he just needs to be more decisive |

Second half,Birmingham marked our midfield and wide men tighter and stopped us using the width and getting the ball in to the box , we on the other hand gave them more space in midfield and out wide and it cost us ….again |

Very frustrating A very poor Second half,We gave Birmingham too much space out wide to put the ball in the box ,this seems to be a pattern, when are we going to learn to mark properly, the amount of crosses they put in late on you felt they were going to nick it , we can’t keep doing it but we do !! The Lino got it wrong for our disallowed goal Ben lost Dykes for the goal and you could see he was furious with himself Yalcouye should have come on earlier for Franco and Benson for Ronald and Vipotnik should have stayed on We tired late on gave the ball away cheaply and Brum attacked us at will through the middle and out wide and we didn’t seem to be able to stop them |

Agree with you on Fisher ,he did ok and he made a great save 2nd half as well Big Zan took his goal brilliantly and is definitely our starting 9 by a mile Burgess scored a great header and the second was a worldie finish ,technique, timing and power ,that any player would have been over the moon to score Benson looks good and Samuel- Smith did ok Galbraith on the other hand just seems to get better every game, the amount of ground he covers is unbelievable, what an engine and …. What a shot ,deserved a goal but we’ll take that rebound any day of the week,an absolutely brilliant signing for us Well done boys, didn’t roll over and didn’t give in YJB ,COYS |

Our fullbacks aren’t the best at defending,Key in particular is very poor,he’s a wingback not a classic right back and always struggles against even average wingers , both our fullbacks are always about 15/20 yards off the wingers when the opposition have the ball the wingers are then always allowed to be picked out by balls played wide and run at us and usually get a ball into our box,on the other hand our wingers seem to be marked properly and rarely have the time and space that we afford the opposition, it seems to be a part of the modern game that fullbacks don’t mark tightly. When we turn the ball over we also seem to give the opposition space to run at us from centre midfield and just back off instead of standing our ground and putting tackles in It’s a big concern that We give teams too many opportunities to put crosses in from out wide or deep but is something we should be able to work on in training |

We don’t mark tight enough, our players seem to have 2 markers on them when we try to attack but when the opposition have the ball their players seem to have so much more time and space than ours , particularly in wide areas and centre midfield and we just back off instead of putting a foot in ,we don’t win as many tackles either it’s so frustrating but something that can be sorted in training |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City : Poor tactics and negativity costs the Swans two points at 01:05 14 Sep 2025
Let’s hope Sheehan learns from his mistakes today regarding subs ,Vipotnik ,Inoussa and Yalcouye should have stayed on longer ,Cullen should never have been an option and Benson should have been used instead of EOM We have to mark opposing wide men tighter, giving them so much space is just inviting balls into dangerous areas ,in the second half today ,Hull had 13 shots with 5 on target to our 4 shots 1 on target, they targeted our fullbacks and it worked, our substitutions helped them achieve this . As for the referee,if he’s bad but consistent with both sides you just have take it but today Hull were given everything and he completely ignored blatant fouls on our players , the one on Ronald late in the game in particular as that would have had an impact on the final result |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City v Hull City : Match day thread at 17:57 13 Sep 2025
Agree with all of that , Cullen creates mayhem for us when he comes on so deep ,Widell should have come on instead and Benson instead of Eom ,Vipotnik held the ball up very well today and some of his layoffs were class ,great Centre forward’s goal too. Just get our fullbacks closer to the wingers so they can’t receive the ball in so much space to get the ball into the box and we’ll make life a lot easier for ourselves |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea City v Hull City : Match day thread at 17:50 13 Sep 2025
So frustrating…..why do our fullbacks stand so far off attacking wingers, every time a ball was played wide their wingers got it in acres and ran at us ,you can’t give widemen 15 /20 yards of space and time like we did , also we just seem incapable of stopping crosses being played in because we don’t get close enough to players out wide , It was obvious with Mc Burnie’s aerial ability they would be looking to get crosses in and we just seemed to invite them to do it , the space they had on the wing to play the ball in for Mc Burnie’s goal was an example, the cross should have been cut out but our player looked like he left it for Viigaroux ,but , Olly did what he does best ,you could feel the last goal coming because we just can’t let teams have so much space Having said that every time a Hull player went down they had a free kick ,while the ref , who was poor gave us nothing the late one on Ronald before they scored a perfect example Although Ronnie did look a tad offside for his goal,we won’t count that one 🙄 |
