Rochdale arrive in Swansea on Tuesday night looking to return to the top of the Division Three table with a win. The match was re-scheduled to Tuesday night because of Swansea's international committments on Saturday and is a chance for Colin Addison to record his second win as Swansea manager.
The home side are dealt two blows with Gareth Phillips and Kristian O'Leary both missing due to suspension with Andrew Mumford and Nicolas Mazzina being the obvious replacements for these two. Failing that, we may see Richie Appleby given another start with Stuart Roberts retaining his place up front.
Swansea's record at the Vetch against Rochdale is good with 10 wins from the 15 previous meetings and they will look to continue this run in this game. However, the visitors have started the season well and make no mistake, they are where they are in the league because they deserve to be. This will be no stroll but we are playing decent football at the moment so there is no reason why we can't win the game.
The key to our game as I see it, lies again with Stuart Roberts who is, putting it mildly, on fire. He seems twice the player up front than he looks on the wing and he is enough to worry any defender for the opposition.
I would love to say a Swansea win but I just can't see it happening. Having said that I can't see us losing either so I guess I'd better plump for the draw - 1-1.
