Romain Gasmi is about to finally arrive for training

Romain Gasmi is about to join up with his Saints colleagues and resume full training after recovering from his fractured foot, he will then offer Saints an attacking option from the midfield.

However until he starts training and is assessed by the medical team its unclear as to how long it will be before he is fit enough to be considered for first team action, the truth is that could be at least 3-4 weeks away.

Saints are however boosted by the fact that with the break it gives some of the longer term casualties a chance to get fitter, this includes Michael Svensson, Stern John and Morgan Scheiderlin, not to mention Lee Holmes, no one would deny that all four are assets to the squad and when you have a squad as thin on experience as we have, it puts into perspective the result at Coventry.
