As we all know speculation is rife with numerous people claiming to know the future on any number of transfer decisions. Yesterday we reported one pretty much agreed transfer, which in certain quarters on the Twitterati was met with derision.

When we state something has happened or could happen we do so after a lot of fact checking, talking to trusted people and even the agents that represent the players club. We even have a few sources in places that you would rarely think to go to confirm or deny rumours. Andrew Fisher is wanted by Swansea City, we knew that, and a bottle of HP sauce in a twitter reply is hilarious.

So, what is the source ?

Well, you are reading it, that’s the simple explanation. We have done the leg work to bring you the latest ‘news’ and as per the Steve Cooper situation in June we brought you that as well on June 3rd, time told us all the outcome. But remember even though that was a first, being first isn’t what this is all about. Joel Piroe we reported signing seventeen days before he had, and the reason for the delay was Steve Cooper, but we decided with the information we had was good and it was the truth. We have a clear obligation to not only you to retain our integrity, we owe it to Keith and this website as well. It’s a charitable concern as some know, we don’t want to effect that in any way. So when we hear the rude or challenging nonsense that is often expected on platforms like Twitter they are banned. A few went that way in the last transfer window on here as well.

They are not missed, they contributed nothing.

We use a careful model of information gathering to check and review what we have, and then talk with those sources that are and have been tried and tested in the past. It isn’t done for this silly name calling excuse ‘clickbait’ When I first saw that term I read it as ‘headbut’ honestly. I thought it was a challenge. But seriously, we want you to value what we do, but also to know we have done our very best to clear up any ambiguity. Things do change remember, nothing is cast in stone, the football transfer market is a free radical and it has the added ingredient. Humans. Shove in money, agents, club dynamics and the player themselves and you have a very difficult landscape to navigate.

We know the pathetic few will always want to highlight failure ( they are experts themselves in this area ) that’s why they want to drag positive things downwards to their level. They want to see confrontation, of course from afar, god forbid it comes back and bites them. All we can do is our best, if we didn’t we wouldn't be running a professional website like Swansea Independent.

Success isn’t judged by this clickbait nonsense, it’s judged by integrity and trust, and proof in time of what we report or try to assess. We know the vast majority know this, but sometimes it has to be reinforced. As I’m sure we will have to again in the future.
