O’Brien latest, Galbraith, Davies & the numerous players who won’t be coming to Swansea City Saturday, 7th Jun 2025 14:10 by Keith Haynes It isn’t a case of the summer transfer window hotting up as the Swans haven’t taken their foot off the gas for months. We look at the latest from our work here at the Indy. The comments from Sporting Director, Richard Montague of late were encouraging and it’s pretty clear there still is an interest in Lewis O’Brien. We have spoken to a decent source in that area who have cast some doubt on the Swans coming close to what Nottingham Forest want for Lewis. They prefer a hefty loan fee or four million pounds transfer, but then of course there’s his salary. A far more accurate source has told us that so many things have to align for us to get Lewis. The most complicated area is other clubs who have an interest in him. However, then of course conversation between Forest and Swansea City is only that at this point. They have had no bids just inquires which to date haven’t resulted in a great deal. The thing in favour for every interested party is Lewis is out of contract in a year, so Forest can only play so much hardball before it gets a bit twitchy for them. What is confirmed is Lewis is most certainly going to leave the club. We have to add that we are not so sure that his wife is crazy about the idea of him moving to Swansea. As stated many things have to align themselves to this deal becoming a reality, and it’s more no than yes at this stage. We did report around three weeks ago that Lincoln City player Ethan Erhahon was a no go, possibly people mixing that up with Ricardo Santos the Scotsman simply isn’t on the Swans radar and never has been. No offers, nothing. ⚽️ No to Ethan We thought we had cleared that up but it seems some still persist in mentioning him. The same can be said for Hungarian defender, Çaykur Rizespor the Turkish club of Attila Mocsi - don’t expect any offer from Swansea, and as we reported on Twitter his agent is working overtime. Attila still has ties in Slovakia and we quickly cleared up that rumour in one phone call. Not going to happen. This is a good example of people needing to read the full text of our posts on X and exposing their lack of knowledge on the player to state he is nothing to do with Slovakia. He is a Hungarian citizen but hails from Slovakia where he still has ties. And so do we. Many are telling us that this has been the most bizarre time they have ever witnessed with rumours in some cases from some pretty decent sources proving to be wholly inaccurate. Ethan Galbraith we have been told today is one which has few legs, yes then Chairman, Andrew Coleman tried a last ditch bid to get the player in February. Something which we have been told was a desperate attempt to make good another disastrous winter transfer window. It really was nothing more than that. The latest revelations we now know are merely the Swans sourcing a whole new batch of players in defensive positions. Players they have been working hard at for this summer. Yes, Galbraith has been of interest but absolutely nothing firm or official has been discussed. He is merely one of many the Swans have a very basic interest in. For now it looks uncertain. He is out of contract next summer and we do expect him to move on, his club Leyton Orient losing in the league one play off final to Charlton Athletic has meant he is setting his sights on the Championship at least. Ben Davies as we have already reported some while ago has no plans to come back to Swansea, he has far bigger offers at home and abroad. The Swans are fully aware of this. For now the Swans are looking at midfielders and defenders, they do have two targets up front which will take a lot of work to get in. As of today we have no news on Mykola Kukharevych, Jerry Yates, Andrew Fisher or Nathan Tjoe-A-On. They will be looking to move on this summer and the club would like to get that done. We dropped in Florian Bianchini a few weeks ago mentioning that he could leave the club. We were being a bit naughty there, it was merely a sentence or so. It wasn’t true, it was a set up. A harmless quote to see how a specific journalist would react. However, funnily enough Tom Coleman at Wales On Line used that info last week. Can’t think where he got that from, especially as it isn’t reported anywhere else. Gotcha ! How do you get out of that one ?
