Tyler Dibling Trains Alone As Southampton Supporters Say Club Should Sell

Saints supporters have long been berating Sport Republic as an owner that is looking to sell players to make a profit and been demanding that we keep our star men, however it seems that the fan base has had enough of one player.

The Daily Echo reported yesterday that Tyler Dibling had trained alone as transfer speculation mounted over Everton's interest in signing the him and Southampton's refusal to back down and sell for below what they see as his market value.

Earlier this year speculation was that Dibling and his family wanted to sign a new deal at St Mary's, that they as they did when they decided three years ago that he should return to St Mary's from Chelsea, that getting experience under his belt rather than snatching the hand of the first big club that came calling was a priority.

But a change of agent led to rumours that his new agent was preventing him signing the deal and was pushing for a big money move, the same sources intimated that the agent was putting their commission ahead of the players development.

Now as we head into the season, that seem to be bearing fruit, for the agent at least, as Everton have launched several bids for the player.

But is this a good move for him, on the face of it yes, Everton a club who have just moved into a new stadium and with new owners that are wanting to splash the cash, but that doesn't make it a good idea for a youngster with less than 40 League appearances to his name.

At Everton the pressure will be on, he will not arrive as a promising youngster, bus as the club's record signing if they meet the £45 million that Saints are said to be willing to accept.

That means the Everton fans will not be willing to be patient with him, he has to produce straight away and week in week out, the problem is he will have to do it in a side that over the past few seasons has struggled and only finished up in 13th place last term after 3 straight wins in the final 3 games, hauling them up from the 17th place that they could have finished in had they lost them all or for that matter drawn them.

So expectations are high at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but so far transfer spending hasn't been, they are looking to make a marque signing, but is this really Tyler Dibling.

Bizarrely Southampton supporters who for the past few years have been berating owners Sport Republic for selling players and demanding that they hand on to prize assets, seem to want to see the back of Tyler Dibling.

In some factions he has been seen as petulant and not produced performances in the second half of the season as he produced in the first half, whilst I can see that point, I don't totally agree, he was playing in a poor side and he played under 3 managers, all of which failed to get the best out of him and didn't seem to feel he was quite ready.

So I don't think it was petulant, just a youngster learning his trade and like his team mates flapping around and out of their depths.

So I would be quite happy to keep him.

But I can also see the other point of view, getting in £45 million now with perhaps a sell on fee is good business for a player with massive potential, but as of yet not proven.

With that transfer fee we can add to the squad, but I would also say that we could do that now after selling certain players already.

So what do you think, should Southampton sell Tyler Dibling or hang on to him, with two years left on his contract there is no rush to sell, so what is the opinion out there, is it as I feel looking at Social Media that the majority want shot of him now.

it's speculation again. If he's thrown his toys out of the pram it then comes down to, if we keep him, will he perform. If we keep him and he's disinterested then, not only have we thrown £45M down the drain, he'll be keeping someone who wants to play out of the team. If we can guarantee to keep a happy Fernandes, I'd sell Dibling. Losing both of them would truly be a blow to our ambitions.

He enjoyed Russell Martins style and system
Juric didn't have a system and Rusk was known to be no more than a stop gap
If Will believes he can get the best out of TD then we keep him. IF he is absolutely set on a move to a second rate PL club then can in now or maybe Jan

As for his agent .Tyler should point out to him that he is there to put into action HIS wishes and not to plan his career based on commission

Clearly TD has got the bit between his teeth and has (supposedly) spoken with the Everton personnel and has his mind set on a possible / likely move, although Spurs may not be out of the picture and Newcastle has liked him since his U21 hat-trick up there a while ago.

It's must be a no-brainer for Tyler (given the U21 salary he's on at present) and so it's only a matter of time before someone meets our demands and a deal will be done.

Googled who is agent is and its ROOF, They are basically a nameless agency. Seems to be dancing closly to 3rd party ownership if they have the power to overule the player and his familiy. They must have a serious contract with him. Their website reads like they are deveoping players . Their promo video talks about how everyone is a team. Its bazare and its where the moeny in football is going.

He's the most exciting prospect to come out of our academy for years and I'm sure his value will rise. I hope we fight to hold on to him, and that Lallana will convince him that his example of a player that developed in the lower leagues benefited his career in the long term.

All this stuff about petulance and sulking I think is over the top, and was just symptomatic of a teenager who didn't know how to process being in a struggling team in a difficult atmosphere. We all know that's not a good environment to introduce an 18 year old!

We have a real lack of spark up front, without Dibling I'd be worried where the goals will come from.
