Swansea City head coach, Alan Sheehan has now confirmed that the Swans will more than likely have a new striker in their midst as we move towards the end of the transfer window (@Mora_sport)

We have been keeping you up to date on the Swans search as they spread their net wide across mainland Europe. The target as our regular readers know is someone described to us as ‘very special’ and yesterday evening after a long chat with a supporter of this website it seems that special player is getting closer. However, we are also informed now that a player recently mentioned in reports is still under review. That sounds very much like the Swans aren’t totally convinced their conversations to date are conclusive. We could be wrong and weighing up Sheehan’s recent revelation it sounds to us there is a way to go, but he sounds confident something is in the pipeline. "You need to have a certain amount of players that are physical to compete. As we've seen the other day, there's nothing between the teams. But when we concede the set-piece it turns into a not so good day. I think there is movement in the background but nothing to share with you just yet“

That’s telling and really does confirm the Swans are all out for that top striker.

With Germany excluded and mainland Europe seemingly the place to be no player mentioned in reports in the last month is in any way capable of increasing the Swans threat up front. Hammarby forward, Jusef Erabi ‘could’ assist with goals despite the fictional 750k bid by the Swans reported three weeks ago. Mouse Sylla we ruled out on August 12th ready for our early morning report the next day. Then a certain publication took that de5ail and treated as their own seven hours later.

On Erabi the information we had at the time, some two weeks ago completely discounted him as a Swans target. Rinse and repeat as above. And it seems even today with his goalscoring record in the Swedish Allsvenskan being very average surely the Swans haven’t reverted to this player ? It sounds a gamble to us. And on that this isn’t the way Swansea do business this summer. We have seen information that Nasir Besara has been scouted, a pinch of salt rumour, his goalscoring record this season for Hammarby is exceptionally good. Some would say ten goals is a good return from nineteen games, but at thirty four he has to be discounted.
