Town defender Gareth McAuley and Northern Ireland achieved a famous 0-0 draw with Italy in their Euro 2012 qualifier at Windsor Park this evening. The former Blues skipper played the full 90 minutes and picked up his 24th cap.

Ex-Blues loanee David Healy was also in Nigel Worthington's side. Northern Ireland’s next qualifying match is against the Faroe Islands in Toftir on Tuesday.

Tamás Priskin was a 64th minute sub for Hungary as they thrashed San Marino 8-0 in Budapest but failed to get amongst the scorers. Priskin was winning his 28th full cap, while team-mate Márton Fülöp was an unused sub.

The Hungarians face Finland in Helsinki on Tuesday in their next Euro 2012 qualifier.
