I've heard this rumour about Huw,Monk and the French players and I feel sorry for anyone that believes it.
What wasn't a rumour was that surely to God if there was one time this season you needed to pick Gomis to start it was ina game that started with the Marseilles.

"Sounds like" being the appropriate words. I've got no reason to disbelieve the person who told me but, as you say, it could be nonsense. I will add though, it does add weight to Gylfi's recent comments about Monk's lack of communication with the players away from the training ground.

Players are forever denying that they said stuff they've been quoted as saying.
He may have, he may not have. The only people who know for sure are those directly involved. The rest is just supposition.

I agree totally with this. The playing squad has gone backwards in a big way over the last two years. Naughton for Rangel. Bartley for Chico. Taylor for Davies. Ki for De Guzman. Sigurdsson for Michu (yes I know that Sigurdsson is still a very good player) and most importantly Gomis for Bony. I can't understand how anyone says this is the best squad we've ever had. It isn't. We need to be reviewing more than just the manager's position.
