I think that we need to realise that players don't appear to be fighting to come here. The question then is why?

I think it's likely Austin (assuming the choice existed) would have chosen Southampton over us as they are not in the relegation mire and have a decent manager and also as he's more likely to do well in a team that's in decent form. |
And Southampton isn't far from where he grew up and where his family probably still live.
