The defence is very poor but to be fair they have no outlet. We are nonexistent forward of the halfway line. Until we get better forwards we are going to struggle all season. |  | | |

Theres no link from the midfield to the attack which is quite possibly cause we are playing two defensive minded CMs and one of them is playing like his singer song writer namesake.
Nthle is abysmal defensively and has to come off. Done to LB, Hendo and Calvin up front and Inman on in place of Calvin would be my plan. MJ also off for Oli or Camps (preferably the former) [Post edited 21 Aug 2018 20:42]

A bit like the Peterborough game. We may look poor but they are just a much better team. Moore up front is the type of player we would never get and they have real pace on the wings. 2-0 at half time is a fair reflection but more a credit to them rather than poor by ourself

Sorry but I disagree with that assessment. Barnsley are a good side, but our play has been littered with errors and hesitation- how many second balls have we failed to claim both in defence and attack, for example? There’s plenty we could do to mitigate how good Barnsley are, but we aren’t doing any of them. Against Peterborough, we did. [Post edited 21 Aug 2018 20:50]
